The HP printer driver installation problems

I downloaded the driver for my HP Photosmart 7760 printer on my Acer Aspire, but it will not run or recognize my camera, even with the USB plugged in. I was able to do this a month ago, all I need, it was the USB cable to connect to print. Recently, I had my phone reset to factory due to a problem of camera settings. Now I can't install the driver of printer as before, and the same diagnosis he didn't work. Anything else I can try?

Hi Tiana_XC,

Welcome to the HP forums!

I see that you are working with a Photosmart 7760 and having problems to print now, but a month ago, it was printing OK. I'm sorry to hear that, but I'll certainly do my best to give a helping hand

What version of Windows is on your laptop?

It is possible that you need to run your Windows updates to get the printer installed correctly after being reset to the factory settings. The method that this printer is installed through the most recent operating systems is through the updates of Windows, so I'll propose to run those and try to hook the printer again.

Hope to hear from you soon... If all goes well with good news

  • Creating a program the evolutionary IVI driver installation problems

I have problems when you try to create an upgrade for an IVI driver installation.
I created the installer by using the creative installer included with LabWindows/CVI 2010 IVI. In my case, I have two versions of the IVI driver DLL and configuration (1.0 and 1.1).
1.1 - the installation program was created using the option "install existing rebuild" of the creator of the installer.

    My problem is the following:

    • If the driver of the IVI is not installed the 1.1 - installation is completed without error.
    • However, if the 1.0 driver is present, the 1.1 installer gives me the error message following just at the beginning of the installation:
"Setup has detected a third party IVI driver in the directory C:\Program Files (x 86) \IVI Foundation\IVI\Bin. Please uninstall the existing driver before proceeding with this installation. »

I noticed the things so far:

    • The UpgradeCode MSI remains the same for both configurations (as expected). This seems to indicate that the installation program supports upgrades.
    • The installer contains a DLL (NiIviDriverDetection.dll) used in a CustomAction to the 3rd party.
What this DLL seems to do, is to perform a control version of the currently installed driver IVI DLL (1.0 in my case).
According to the results of this audit, the installation process is abandoned.

If everyone has noticed this behavior or anyone has any suggestions on how to create an IVI driver installer which can be upgraded without uninstalling the old version first?
Maybe I put just an evil version information field, but I do not know that which (if any)...

    Advice would be greatly appreciated!

I seem to have found a solution:

The problem is that the MSI CustomAction, seeking a third drivers IVI (DetectAction.C1C4DD2F_AD86_44E6_BA47_FC41E5C0DAAF) is performed before the FindRelatedProducts Action.

So the DetectAction is not ignored if an older version of the IVI driver is located (looking at the MSI tables clearly was NEITHER).

Move the sequence numbers of the 103 to 107 behind the FindRelatedProducts Action InstallExecuteSequence shares both InstallUISequence tables (for example starting at 370) will make it possible to do an upgrade of an IVI driver installation.

This can be accomplished using the Orca tool included in the Windows SDK.

  • HP LaserJet 4100: Problem with the universal print driver

    Desktop: HP Envy 700-214

    OS: 10 64-bit Windows

Printer: HP LaserJet 4100 (with a USB to parallel cable)

I was able to properly use my LaserJet for Windows 8.1 through my Windows 10 crossing (which I upgraded to about 18 months ago).  Quite recently, I welcomed Windows Installer a upgrade, and at this time there, I lost my ability to print.   It has been on my default printer, but gave an error message when I tried to print.

I tried to "Add a printer" and selected the HP 4100 connected to the LPT1 port.  It would not print a test page, and the printer does not like in the reception of data.

I then tried to install the (PCL6 and Postscript) universal print driver with similar lack of results.

I tried uninstallinDeg and reinstall the drivers, but once again no joy.  Incidentally, although I'm going to Device Manager > printing queues and remove the drivers, when I set up an application like Word and select the Menu printing, many copies of drivers rest yet.  When I go to remove them using the printui/s/T2, it is said that they are currently in use and cannot be deleted.

Yet once again, I repeat - it is not a hardware problem because everything worked well before Windows upgrade.  I just need to find a way to reinstall a driver who will speak to my printer.  It of frustrating because I was able to do that before, but may not know what I am doing wrong.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello GaryLynn,

You saw did a lot of things to try to solve this issue.

However the USB to parallel isn't anHP officially supported connection type.

in any case, what suggests I´d, is that you try this:

    • Unplug the hybrid cable that you use
    • Uninstall all copies of the printer and its duplicates.
    • Stop the print spooler by using the services on windows (type on cortana services.msc) locate print spooler and stop it
    • Go to run and coil type, look at the Printers folder and delete all the files that are there (if any)
    • Restart the spooler to print services.
    • Download and install this driver package
      http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?swItemId=FP-148007-1
    • Turn on your printer and connect the cable.

After this exercise, check to see if windows 10 has managed to find the best driver to use your printer.
If widows did not automatically find it, try the manual on add a Printer Wizard.

If not reading as LPT1, check ports either USB00 ' # ' or a port DOT4, those who should be the ports to use.

I hope this helps you get your printer going again.

    Thank you

  • HP Officejet software 4620e Windows XP SP3 and the base driver installation problems

I am running Windows XP SP3 and installed the software the printer HP Oficejet 4620e and, when it is finished installing, all I see are two pages of text of the code.  In addition, the printing software disables my wireless network connection and I need to fix the adapter wireless network at regular intervals.  I uninstalled the printer software and installed 4620e HP basic driver software that HP offers as an alternative for computers that cannot use the full package.  I get the same results with the HP basic driver package 4620e as with the complete software package (two screens of text of the code).

  • Reduced with the universal print driver in Windows 7 manual duplex function

On March 13, 2013, I downloaded the last PCL 6 Universal Printer driver for my Laserjet CP1518NI printer.   Manual duplex printing is now a mess!  In Windows XP, duplexing manual was available for Microsoft documents, but for them, it worked: if I chose to print on both sides, a pop-up window seem to remember to press 'OK' on the printer when it was time to print the second side. I could close this window without affecting the driver himself things correctly configured: he printed the pages first, in reverse order, collected if necessary and rotation so that when this side is complete, all I had to do was take pages on the output tray in put them directly in the input tray and then press OK on the printer, and the other next printed pages, in good order and the correct orientation.

Here's the worst: when you print a double-sided Word file, I now get a BOX of DIALOGUE MICROSOFT WORD asks me to press "OK" in the dialog box, not on the printer, when you are ready to start printing the second side.  With an open dialog, I can't work with other Word files to the end of the first side printing.

Is then the settings: apparently, I need to change the settings manually (not what I planned "Manual" Duplex would!) to learn how to print the first side (even pages) in reverse, reverse order / rotation, then the second side (odd pages) in normal order do not hit?  Do I have to change the settings before printing the second side?

If I don't make all the settings myself, it just prints odd pages in the wrong direction and DISORDER.  If I do all the settings myself, which is exactly the pilot done for me, other than preventing me from working on other documents, the document while current is printing?

I'm especially disappointed because the old driver worked very well.  I just updated the driver because of what turned out to be another problem.  Sigh.

In reading the manual. on page 35, it describes how to enable the feature if you have not already:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01070718.PDF

According to the available information this process should not be performed by the driver. However, as I said above, almost all the settings you described I not know can be defined in MS Word. Back to history versions of the drivers, I see the same types of drivers that have been developed for Windows XP and the information I have shows that this function must not have changed.

In addition, similarly, you should be able to allow printing of greys through the preferences of printer or the printer properties Advanced.

I would like to know if this helps!

It is a known problem with the drivers Y480 and Y580...

Rather than extract the drivers to a folder named C:\Drivers\LAN for example... it would extract them to C:\Drivers only

so the next time you install another pilot, because there is already a setup.exe from the folder of the previous driver... installation it asks you to crush...

the way to solve this problem is...

    -Install the driver you want...

-When the installation is complete, open my computer, then go to C:

    -Delete the folder named Drivers

    -Install the following driver

-Repeat the first step for the next driver and so on

I do not have a restore point before these problems started. Any suggestions?

  • Reinstall the V305W printer driver

I have occasional problems with my printer V305W (communications), and it seems that one of the process printer has a memory leak (can't remember which - has been one of the DLDT process, I think).  Running Windows 7 - printer cable into USB port, no wi - fi used.  Initially, I used this one an old PC and downloaded the driver W7 when I got this PC (a Studio XPS).

Would like to completely uninstall and reinstall the driver.  --

    Thank you.

    littlepeaks,

First run delete print jobs to remove stuck print Job (s) of the queue. A print job blocked can cause many problems, even if you uninstall / reinstall a printer.

    Restart your computer.

Make sure that the pritner is not plugged usb cable.

Start, Panel, programs and features, your printer, uninstall

    Restart your computer

Make sure that the printer has been deleted. Driver Manual printer removal

Delete the program files (x 86)(x86) folder.

Download the drivers for XP/Vista/Windows 7 64 bit and save them to your desktop.

Install the drivers in the Vista SP2 compatibility mode , you will get a message, the printer is not connected, connect the printer at that time under tension.

Don't forget viruses, programs and communications that will be the firewall.

  • Optimus driver installation problem

    Hello

    I have a T410s with NVS3100, running Win7 (64). I tried several ways to install the driver:

    -Lenovo Auto Updater

    -Manually run the update download

    -Download directly from http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-76280

-Right click in the Device Manager, select Update driver, manually choose one of the extracted downloaded drivers

except for the last one, the installation process works fine, but after the required reboot, the nVidia does not appear be installed to the right. In Device Manager I see graphics card Intel HD and a standard VGA card. It has an error code 10 (could not be started), choosing to update the drivers automatically returns the standard VGA driver is up-to-date.

What is the normal procedure how (re) install the drivers for all of Optimus (Intel + nVidia)?

    Optimus.

I was able to solve the problem by using the data in cdrivebackup.wim who came on the recovery partition. I copied the content related to Nvidia in the Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\ folder and then installed the drivers again.

  • The Deskjet D2360 driver installation error

Came across the problem, try to install the driver for HP Deskjet D2360 (same error for small size and size driver CD)

"The system does not have the specified path.

    and the screen thereafter

I installed this driver on several other PCs with no problems. My guess is that the problem exists because only the Windows XP Pro system is installed by default on E: and there is no painless way to change the drive letter of the system without breaking everything, so I can't check my theory. I can only refer to the screen that says error with "c:", which is not affected at all, so now that I can only blame HP for poor software design. Was looking for solution in google and many forums (including this one) and found nothing. In the hope of assistance.

Evolution letter of the system drive on a system that has been installed on the other default drive is not acceptable in this topic because it simply does not work (tried just killed system) such a solution is acceptable if some anomalies (such as viruses) changed the letter of the system drive.

But he came across acceptable solution:

Partitioned the HARD drive and created the new partition and it has assigned the drive letter "C:" and everything worked fine.

As I suspected it's failure to design of serious software made by HP by storing some temporary installation always files on "c:" and not using the system drive variable. That error is acceptable to students and a 1st class, students and not such great company like HP.

Thanks for the reply otherwise wouldn't such a solution.
