  • How manually to create the Satellite A300 recovery DVDs

    Hi all!!

My cousin interrupted at first startup of Vista, resulting in a constant error while switching on the laptop (say a word about the disconnection of a camera or a media player). I decided to perform a clean install of Vista Home pre and everything was ok.

I have a return to the top of the HDD Recovery folder and tried to burn a DVD using as prototype of my recovery dvd (A200-1J0) who proved not bootable.
So, I would like to know if it is possible to make a recovery dvd manually (which means that without the wizard mentioned in the user manuals) for laptop Toshiba A300-17N.

Something like this is not possible. If the folder HDDRecovery still exists on the second partition, please start your laptop and press F8 for advanced startup option. Use first option on top for the repair of computers. Follow the menu und opt for Toshiba HDD recovery.

Reinstall the OS and create recovery DVDs using Toshiba tool preinstalled.

    Recovery DVD disc 2
    Recovery DVD 3 disc
    64-bit Windows recovery environment

Now what I want to do is to format my laptop and re - install windows 7 Home premium using these 4 DVDs. However, I can't understand why I can't reinstall or get the laptop to factory State.

This wasted 8 straight hours of my time and I frustrated by many. You kindly tell me what I need to do? I'm lost!

    > However, I can't understand why I can't reinstall or get the laptop to factory State.
S just put the first disc in the CD/DVD drive and the start of this drive and then follow the instructions on the screen. :)

You put the disk environment to win always, but you should put the first DVD

  • Drive DVD/CD-RW of the proBook laptop does not read the CD mudic

I use a 4410 s HP ProBook and the CD/DVD drive comes with the laptop for almost 2 years.

He used to have no problem to read the CD/DVD, but about 2 months ago it stop just reading of CD (DVD is fine). I tried many CDs of different music from different brands, but it did not work so I assumed that the drive had to be replaced.

However, it works very well with data CD (I just realized it today) so it must have been something wrong with the hardware/software, but I don't know what it is.

Any suggestion how to solve the problem? I want to try all the options before you use the system recovery and having to reinstall all the software again

Well... the problem is solved by itself. One of the things that I tried yesterday milion needs!

  • Problem creating on the new laptop recovery disks

    Hi Forum:

I started the procedure of creation of recovery on a HP Pavilion g6 disk.  The laptop was bought this morning at Costco.

I used discs DVD + R DL for a package that had been previously used for other creations of recovery disc (on other new computers, of course.).  The first drive put in place and the creation of the first (of three) ran discs then hung to 54% of this disk check is completed.  I left him for two hours, and it has not changed. No doubt had hung up.

It's frustrating because this is the second time in two days that this product. Yesterday, the system blocked when you create a set of recovery discs after the first disc was created and it was gone in half way through the second disc.

I know that Costco could also resume this current computer but I don't have the time to do it before the owners go on vacation. My choice is to make a deal AcronisTrue Image backup (done) then return to Costco later when they came back.

I think it might be the discs that I use and who are at fault, with the exception of the fact that I could do a full game just four days using the discs to a same parcel.

Everyone has problems with the "program on laptops current HP HP Restore disc creation?

Thanks again Cheryl.  I think you're right.  I had better call HP and explain what happened.  I won't be able to do for some time that the people who are owners go on vacation tomorrow and need with them for email and Skype.

Here is a link to confirm what I said, it's on this computer:

  • Assist in the creation of recovery DVDs

Hey all, if the recovery program closed after having created the first 2 DVD and I got more than 1 to go. Is there a way to keep the third, or do I have to restart the whole process?

I don't see why it closes automatically after having been there. Have you run it again? I'll probably make their brand new since this isn't a smart program, but once all are completed you will not be able to do it again.

  • HP Pavilion dv7t 3300: replacing hard drive SSD with the recovery DVD

My Pavilion dv7t3300 has two hard drives... A SATA 500 GB of data and an SSD 128 GB containing the operating system and other programs.   The SSD drive that contains the operating system failed.  When I install the replacement SSD, I intend to use the HP System recovery DVD (2) which came with the unit.  If I load the recovery disks will be erase/format all my data-files in the 500 GB drive.

    The new drive is "naked".

    Thank you for your help

    Tim

I just remove the second disk while making the recovery operation and slap it in when the process is complete. Better safe than sorry. Theoretically, the recovery disks will not affect the second drive, but it's really easy to be sure that they will not be 100%.

    Hello John

Recovery installation is very simple and you can do it whenever you want. Important is that your laptop to factory settings. Simply follow the link posted by Feliks.

If you've changed something else or clean installation of the OS, it will not work and for the installation of recovery you must use the original Toshiba Recovery DVD drive.

If you have any other questions you are welcome.

  • Should I in fact this recovery DVD - Equium A200-15I

    Hello

I have a laptop Equium A200-15I series. For reasons too long to describe here, I don't have the DVD of master restoration - it was not provided with the product and after that a long period, I was told that I would have to pay for it. Not fair, but there you go!

My request is that the hidden partition on the laptop is still there and what I want to know is that can still recover my windows Vista environment by hitting the F8 key at startup upwards and crosses the screen of recovery without the DVD Master procedure or do I absolutely this disc.

I am aware that all media that comes with the DVD won't be available, but this isn't a problem.

    I hope someone can help

    Best regards

    Hello Seamus

To be honest, I'm a little confused, and at first, I just want to clarify something. Notebooks (A200 series) are supplied with recovery DVDs and these books have no recovery image on the HARD disk and you cannot install the OS by using advanced startup options (F8).

New laptops like A300 models are supplied without recovery media and recovery image is saved on the HARD drive and there is a possibility to install the OS without recovery DVDs. The recovery image is saved on the second partition in HDD Recovery folder. Drive HARD recovery can be done if this folder is not removed.

If you want to have the factory settings again you need recovery (DVD) image. You can also purchase Microsoft Vista DVD facilities and install your own operating system. All the drivers, tools and utilities that you can find on Toshiba supports the page. Of course some other software like Norton or WinDVD player are not downloadable.

  • Extract Vista recovery DVDs

Hi, I would like to know (before you try) if it is possible for "extract" the Vista version of my restore disk, if so please post a clue on how to start.
If this isn't the case, would it be possible to use the recovery disk without changing my Partitions.

After the first installation, I changed the size of the disk partition to a more than useful setting instead of divide 160 GB in two parts. It is, when you use recovery 'as-is' my partitions are back from the original size. Pls post for help here, there must be a way to NOT lose all data after Vista hangs or crashes.

    Thanks in advance, Tuurtje

    Hello

As MrPacman mentioned, the Toshiba Vista recovery DVDs can not be extracted. The image on the recovery CD file is secure and I know it s not possible to open it using a tool like for example; Norton Ghost.

The use of recovery DVDs will format the whole HARD disk and re-create the hidden Vista recovery partition and the system on the HARD drive partition.
Simply said, the recovery CD redefines the laptop to factory settings.

So, if you have important data and files on the HARD drive, backup it first before recovering.
