I'm a little confused on the material that is shown in the screenshot. It is a newly installed virtual machine or do you convert it? If so do you convert using the converter version 4.1 indicated in your first post or version 5.0 converter that supports Windows 7/2008?

  • Scanner USB on the local pc connected to the server VM

I would like to use a local usb scanner and connect it to the virtual machine that I use and that runs on the server VM 2. The virtual machine works fine, but I don't see any way to make my local scanner to connect so that in the virtual machine. Scanner works on my pc ok. PS. I'm new to this forum, if this issues is listed elsewhere, sorry.

Please see attached screenshot which shows the USB connection mechanism. If you have this available ensure that you added a USB controller to the virtual hardware. You may also need to upgrade the hardware of VMware for this virtual machine 4 (the default value) to 7. This can be done in the "Status" pane when the virtual machine is turned on.

First try a System Restore and see if that helps your situation.  If you get to windows to do a system restore when you start start pressing F8 until you get the Windows startup options.  Then try "Last known good configuration" see if that helps and let us know.

  • Is it possible to synchronize the copied file in the local folder with the original file in the network?

    Hello

I copied a file from the shared network folder and it is really important document, so I need to use this file as a file off the local drive connection and backup as well just in case where the cause accidental, but I don't want to save it each time and don't want to use the original file in the network.

Is it possible to automatically synchronize the copied file in the local folder with the original file in the network?

    Thank you

Absolutely without interruption would require a program to write that monitors files on the file locks and triggers a sync as soon as he sees a change.  So, since we cannot just write a program, the best thing is either:

    (1) an icon on your desktop that you can click each time you want to synchronize "synchronize my files now.

    or

    (2) plan the "my sync files' to run automatically every x minutes.  It could be a batch script that checks to see if the file is more recent and copies only files that have changed.  Although perhaps a little aggressive, you could plan this thing check-and-copy-a batch file - again to run every 60 seconds.

Batch files allow you to control the operations very directly, but Microsoft has also made a (not supported) tool called SyncToy who does all the same things, but has a graphical interface to select your options. It can be programmed to run automatically on a schedule.

MSDAORA is not a 64-bit version. You will have to either switch to 32-bit application and use of Oracle 32-bit client, or use a client provider and oledb 64-bit instead (IE, provider of Oracle - ORAOLEDB. ORACLE)

    It will be useful,

  • Script to add a domain user to the local Administrators group raises the error "the network path is not found."

I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 domain and a Windows XP Pro workstation that has been attached to the domain and then disconnected. I am trying to create a VBS script to add a domain user to the local Administrators group.

I log on my computer as a local administrator and run the following script:

    Dim oNetwork: Set oNetwork = WScript.CreateObject ("WScript.Network")
    StrPC Dim: strPC = oNetwork.ComputerName
    Dim OGroup: Set oGroup = GetObject ("WinNT: / /" & strPC & "/ directors")
Dim OUser: Set oUser = GetObject ("WinNT://domainname/username")
    oGroup.Add (oUser.ADsPath)

This script returns the error "the network path is not found."

However, I am able to go into control panel > user accounts > enter the user name and the domain name > click Next... > choose the administrators of the 'other' group and the user name will be added to the local Admin group.

The same script runs without error if it is launched after logon on the workstation with a domain administrator account.

How can I get my script runs without error, when you are logged into the workstation as a local administrator?

    Best regards, Andy

The code that I used came from here. If the syntax of the Add method is passed to oUser.ADsPAth to "WinNT: / /" & domainname & "/" & username, the script works correctly.

    Therefore, the modified script:

    Dim oNetwork: Set oNetwork = WScript.CreateObject ("WScript.Network")
    StrPC Dim: strPC = oNetwork.ComputerName
    Dim OGroup: Set oGroup = GetObject ("WinNT: / /" & strPC & "/ directors")
    Dim strUser: strUser = "WinNT://domainname/username."
    oGroup.Add strUser

Thanks to Qasim Zaidi to show the code of work here.

    Best regards, Andy

  • Failed to add the source of data for local SQL Server Express

I can't get the new data source to connect to a local SQL Server Express (2008).

SES, I activated authentication NTLM-no, created an account specifically to CFServer and was able to connect to SQL Server through Management Studio. But the data source does not always connect.

When I enter computerName/SQLServerName for the server, I get a message saying '... The instance requested is invalid or not running. »

When I get home just to SQLServerName, the message says "socket creation error. Unknown host: SQLServerName. »

When I get home (local), I get a message saying "error creating socket. "Unknown host: (local).

When I enter 127.0.0.1, message says "error creating socket to host and port: 127.0.0.1:1433.» "Reason: Connection refused: connect".

I don't know why the first is considered non-valid, or why the fourth refuses connection. I forgot something?

I found the solution, that doesn't have to do with Coldfusion, but rather with the configuration of SQL Server to TCP/IP.  In case anyone else ever gets on this post with a similar problem, I wrote on this topic to http://forums.devshed.com/ms-sql-development-95/trying-to-connect-to-sql-server-on-localho st - 1433 t - 958558.html.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8600: HP OfficeJet Pro 8600, connected to the local network but does not print a printer on the same LAN

HP OfficeJet Pro 8600, connected to the local network but cannot print printer on the same local network.

Work tried fixing it but all attempts fail.

    Firewall disabled.

    Printer recognizes the router's LAN.

Was also pointed out that the port does not communicate, can not remove it; Cannot add another...

    Printer does not print.

    How can I fix?

    Hi @AnnisMonadjem,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are unable to print to your printer HP Officejet Pro 8600. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

When you say 'LAN', are you referring to the network or you try to share the printer on the network?

How is the printer connected? (Ethernet/WiFi)

If you have noticed that the port is causing problems, please download and run the print and Scan doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing.

What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)

HP has several Officejet Pro 8600 series.

What is the name and the product number of your printer? How can I find my model number or product number?

    • Update the firmware of the printer.
    • Don't hide the SSID (network name).
    • What type of encryption are you helping? HP recommends WPA and WPA2.
    • You have a double router broadband? Make sure that the two groups were not the same network name.

If the problem persists, you may encounter an IP address conflict. It's a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers default DHCP is located between 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.

To assign the static IP address, use the following steps as a guide.

    • Print a Page of Network Configuration menu of the printer front panel. Note the IP printer. IPV4 address
    • Type the IP address in the browser to bring up the SAP.
    • Choose the network tab, then wireless on the left side, and then select the IPv4 tab.
    • Select Manual IP.
    • Enter your IP address manual (192.168.0.232)
    • Enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask, except if it is different.
    • Enter the IP address of your router that sits on the Network Configuration Page) for the default gateway.
    • Please, click on manual DNS server. For the preferred DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate DNS Server Manual, please enter 8.8.4.4.
    • Click on apply.
    • Restart the router, the printer and the computer.
    • Test printing and scanning.

If the problem persists, download and run this patch rollup: resolving printing issues in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

    • Try printing and scanning.

In addition, if you are still having problems try the steps in this guide, HP printers - "offline" Status Message printer (Windows 7).

Continue on, if the problem persists.

OK, so it's a big, dirty and convoluted issue, so please bear with me. Any help is greatly appreciated! I start tearing my hair out on this one...

    I'm on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
UAC is set to the lowest level 2

The other day I have problems with the search box in the start bar. It is more was to find excel or other office applications and also he wouldn't orders base as cmd or Notepad. Whenever I run a command it returns an error like this (not exact because I have the exact error message):

Windows cannot find ': search query = cmd'

I searched a little and tried to rebuild the index in Control Panel > Indexing Options. It does not work so I uninstalled Windows Search and reinstalled. What I found now, is that the indexing service would not start and if I tried manually start from services.msc I would get the following error:

Windows search Windows failed to start the service on the Local computer
Error 161: the specified path is not valid

The event log showed me this Application error:

    Cannot initialize the Gatherer service.

    Details:

The Temp folder is on a drive that is full or inaccessible. Free space on the drive or verify that you have permission write to the Temp folder. (HRESULT: 0 X 80070660) (0 x 80070660)

    Help!

    Thanks Samhrutha.
Your proposed solution of editing the registry is the only solution I found to this day and still work.
The only drawback that I want to emphasize is that this fix causes completely reset to its default settings of windows search.  Customizations to search what have been done by the user (e.g., windows search indexing user customizations options) will be lost.

I am running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and occasionally experienced the same error message ( windows cannot find ': search query = XXX ", where XXX corresponds to my search query) try to search through windows when start menu search box.

Only recently, however, discovered one other cause possible/fix to this problem.
Specifically, I discovered that the error of windows search resulting from the ADDITION of a NETWORK LOCATION on the local computer (for example, via the menu option "Add a network location" that appears when you click the file menu in a window of windows Explorer displays the contents of the local computer (corresponding to the "COMPUTER" icon). The CENTER of my computer SYNC settings have been defined to disable the synchronization of network or file 'offline' and I suspect that this setting is also part the cause of the error of research.

To resolve this problem, simply tell windows search not to include the 'network' location in the search index.  To do this, one needs to access the settings of the windows search INDEX LOCATIONS (via Indexing Options-> change), then uncheck the box next to the network location (which on my computer starts as follows: oneindex: / / {s-1-5-21...)

After unchecking this box, click on the OK button and then CLOSE the button to exit the Options of Index window.  After that the error message should hopefully not return.  If so, try restarting the computer and research to test again.

    Hope this helps!

    :)

    Hello

First of all, you should check your LAN cable.
Sometimes the laptop may not be correctly connected to the LAN as a result of a defective cable.
In addition, you should check if the network card is properly recognized in Device Manager. He should t be a yellow exclamation!
In addition, you must check the settings for the TCP/IP protocol in the LAN card properties.
TCP/IP must be set to automatic. I assume that you are connected to a server and the server supports supported a range of IP addresses and assigns it automatically.

Last but not least check if you are using the latest version of the BIOS.

    Welcome them
