• The screen cracked on tx 1000. Replacement options?

  I bought my tx 1000 something like 2 years ago now. He is totally out of any warranty period, but no did me not no problem (although I will be swapping hard drives soon because I have a sixth sense sense that it is about to die). At a party in the new year, I've walked awkwardly on my computer, which was in a neoprene sleeve. The next morning I woke up and found the screen was cracked (see photos). This does not affect the quality of image or real output on the screen itself; the only thing that is broken is the piece of plastic/glass in front of the screen.

  I was wondering if anyone knows what are my options for repair or replacement. I am very very well on the technical plan and am confident I can do the repair myself if spare parts are available. Otherwise I would like to know how much it would cost me to send it to fix. I can just try to turn it off as cheaply, I can and get a new tx2 or even dv3 pledge.

  I think your best bet is to call support, they will give you an estimate on your fixed screen getting, but you will not really receive the exact amount, until you send it and they look, then they will call you and tell you how much.
  You can then decide if it's worth the repair or if the money is better spent on a new laptop

  Of course you say that you can still use it anyway, and even without the internal screen you could hook it up to an external monitor, so it has some value.

  You can also just look at how new are now anyway, I think the new TX series is probably cheaper than when you bought your model again.

  There are also those new Netbooks good market as well.

  Once that I could build computers cheaper than to buy new ones, but not more these days.

  Hello, recently I drop my phone and broke my screen and was quite surprised the quote cheaper to get my Iphone screen replaced was in apple store pay £100.

  2 days after I had my screen replaced my screen jumped Center while he was in my hand, causing the screen cracked, I wasn't best please, I took the picture of the screen, then I had to wait 2 days to get my appointment to get with apple to explain the question and it's a fault in the fitting that I understand they're going under testing but it always that 1% chance that it could be defective.

  Well, I got the apple technician more harsh in the Norwich store who would not listen to what me and my partner had to say and just kept it tell a technician, he knows best and gave us 2 options paid to get fix or leave with her broken, so we ended up paying another £100 only £200 in the spent 4 days my phone screen fixed.

  After this poor service, I feel as if I were a victim left with no option and felt like it give me little. It's how apple employees treat customers?

  If anyone can help me find a place to put a formal complaint even refund of replacement second it would be grateful.

  I bought my Z830 in July 2012.
  While I liked using the computer, the screen cracked after 4 months of normal use.

  I had to deal with the computer slowly and have always used a bag of ice and computer when they travel with him. The crack occurred while the computer had been sitting on a desk for about 2 months.

  I had to replace the display screen on my Satellite L505 due to the 'accident '. After finding how to get instructions on the line, I was able to do the job, seemed ok, but it having moved up the screen on, but nothing else.   Just a few questions if you let it. Unfortunlsoately my laptop fell on the floor and the screen cracked. I have a new replacement on the way. Mind you, I replaced the screens of laptops before gently and smoothly. On each of them, in the place where the cable Ribbon which extends from the motherboard and attaches to the screen he is and was a warning label 'do not touch'. Take this warning seriously I've always avoided this and do not touch.  On the WANT DV7-7230us the place where the ribbon cable connection is made it is difficult, but not impossible, to do not touch this area. It is a possibility, I might have to hold a small area to re - attach the cable on the new screen. My question is why he cannot be touched? I somehow damage the new screen if I accidentally touch or hold this area? Just one simple answer other than 'just don't touch' would be great.  Thank you.

  If a touch screen is cracked, it is never good. A crack is sure to have damaged the resistive layers in the touchscreen.

  You should go to the apple store and ask them to check it for you! You may have a faulty screen or faulty motherboard! in any case it is best to call or go to the apple store

  I bought a Toshiba Equium A200-15I laptop about 15 months ago, and I'm not sure that this is under any kind of warranty or not.

  A few weeks ago I tried to turn on the laptop but a crack suddenly appeared on the screen and the screen has been damaged. It seems as if the crack is internal, because I can't feel anything on the surface of the screen.

  No, if you want to keep all rights to the service or support from Apple. Not to mention the fact that it then will be bork Touch ID and make the phone unusable if ever, you restore or update of iOS.

  Apple doesn't sell parts of the iPhone. There is no legitimate sources for replacement screens.

  Warranty Apple does NOT cover accidental damage.

  Press the sleep/wake and Home buttons and hold for at least 10 seconds.
