  According to the description you posted in your message seems that you can not install updates, this problem may occur if one or more of the following conditions are met:

  1. The Windows Update database is damaged.
  2. Antivirus software is configured to scan the folder % Windir%\SoftwareDistribution.
  3. Service (BITS) Background Intelligent Transfer Service does not receive a content link header.
  4. A required system file is incorrectly registered.

• I keep trying to run 2 updates that will not update. I get the error 646 with them. they are related to the KB976884 and KB976416. they are for Outlook and the pathfinder 2007. I'm not sure but I think they are for microsoft office 2007.

  There is a notification of automatic update for PS 13 items and it will not download because it tries to download to a location that is not valid on my machine. How can I get the update to download in the correct location or download it manually? The section updates and downloads of Adobe PS Elements for customer support stops at 2012 and 10 of PSE.

  So, I was able to enter in where you remove Windows apps. I deleted the one claiming MB 248 used and suddenly I 77 GB free. I deleted a few room more and obtained enough to install CCleaner I used to clean up even more space. Then I can uninstall a version duplicated MS Office 2013 and free more than 80 GB. Then I could install the PSE13 update.

  Have I mentioned that I don't really like for Win8?

I had about 11, but some of them downloaded and installed correctly as Security Essentials definitions etc, however; the security updates are not download. It showed 0% about 3 days now.
