There are 2 in safe mode administrator accounts?

Hi all

The other day, I started the defragmentation, went to watch a movie, and he had barely begun... Stopped and asked a question on another forum... They said to do it in safe mode... Well, when I arrived the next day, 2-3 days ago, there were 2 admin accounts it!  The 1st did not have a password, and it was called Administrator... It was also only the Recycle Bin on the desktop!  The 2nd option was my usernamed created Admin account... This is the one I used... Always took like 4-5 hours to run defrag... It has been much too fragmented...

Are there suppose to be 2 admin accounts?  Can u add a password for the account named Administrator. Or have I been hacked?

Who responds to this with what I think is true, will get a BIG sloppy kiss from me!

E........

Hi all

Thank you!!!  YEP, I thought you'd be good!  Some come get it! HAHA!

Thanks for your time!

  • Is there a way to protect an administrator account to be hacked - such as encryption of the boot with Windows 7 system

We have set up a computer for our son with ourselves as administrators and child protection software installed on the computer. Within two days, he had deleted the administrator account, the software protection of child allegedly hidden and we locked on the computer. After some research, I've seen the online instructions to know how to bypass passwords; I had also seen mentioned that you can encrypt the boot volume to avoid changing the admin password. Is this or something else possible, so we can help to change the password again? And if this is the case, it will be able to use the computer otherwise normally?

    Thanks for any help,

    Eric

    Hi Eric,

Thanks for posting the query on Microsoft Community.

We apologize for the late response and caused inconvenience. It is not possible to change the administrator password. It could be the password you use in knowing or it might be possible that he might have administrator privileges. Then I suggest you change the password alphanumeric password (small, uppercase, numbers and special characters).

Have what child protection software, you installed?

As now, it is not necessary to circumvent passwords. BitLocker is available in Windows 7 ultimate and Windows 7 Enterprise. However, you can unlock some removable drives encrypted on any version of Windows 7. You can use BitLocker Drive encryption to protect your files on a disc. BitLocker can help the hacks to access the files on the system, that they rely on to discover your password, or to access your drive by physically removing from your PC and install it in another. You can always connect to Windows and use your files as you normally would.

Please see the suggestions contained in the links below. (Gokul T)

  • How to activate the account administrator in safe mode?

I have two accounts 'user1' ('user' level and I know that this password) and "admin1" accounts ("admin" level). Built-in Administrator account's password (I know this password), but it is not active. I changed my password for admin1 and now I can't remember it.

I tried to use the built-in by the 'safe Mode' administrator account, but is not watch upwards in the list of users (to open a session without failure)? I connected both that account User1 with cmd prompt. I typed "net user administrator / Active: Yes", but OS says "System 5 error has occurred. Access is denied. " How do I use the built-in Administrator account (since I know this password) when it is not enabled?

    1. put your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
2 start the computer with the Windows 7 repair CD or with your Windows 7 installation DVD.
    3. Press any key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
    4. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
    5. set Windows to a point until you have changed the password you forgot.
    6. turn on and test the administrator account so that you are able to perform basic maintenance when you have any problem next time.

  • Whenever I try to log on to the administrator account, it will start to connect, but immediately disconnected return.

Original title: why my account automatically disconnect?

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium.

Whenever I try to log on to the administrator account, it will start to connect but then before he's even changed screens, immediately disconnect back.
I can connect to it using safe and I ran Anti-malware, Microsoft Security Essentials and Advanced System Care and they have all come without any problem.
Now, I guess I'm using an account with administrative privileges but different. I just need to open Windows Media Center, but every time I try, it says: I'm on the guest account. My machine won't let me create a new account, delete other accounts, or even to change the passwords. In addition, a random ASP.NET account appears and I can't remove it.
I don't understand what I could do wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Jorgomli,

    1. you receive messages or error codes when you try to connect?

    2. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

    Step 1:

Because you can connect to the account administrator in safe mode, you can try to create a new safe mode administrator account and check.

    Check out the link:

    Create a user account

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/create-a-user-account

    Step 2:

If still face problems, then you can try setting the default Administrator account and check if you can solve the problem.

    a. click the Start button

    (b) in the Start Menu, click all programs followed accessories

    c. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option

    d. in the drop-down menu that appears, click on the "Run as Administrator" option

    e. If you have the User Account Control (UAC) enabled, you will be asked for permission before the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.

    f. in the command prompt window, type the command net user administrator / Active: Yes and press ENTER.

    g. close the elevated command prompt.

    h. log (in the Start Menu) and you will see your new administrator integrated next to your current account.

    i. click the photo icon display built-in Administrator account and connect to it.

If the problem is resolved, then you can create a new administrator account and check.

You can try to create a new administrator account by following the link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

You can also try disabling the default Administrator account using the command

NET user administrator / active: No.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Administrator account has no password - how to fix this?

I help fix a Windows XP Pro computer for a friend.  He got divorced and remove his ex-wife and son of user accounts.  However, as I understand it, there is a problem.  When you go into control panel > users there are now 2 users... Administrator and Greg (also a Director)... or has a password associated with it.   When the computer restarts the two icons seem to choose user... no password is required to continue.

I think that something is wrong.  Should not the administrator user account has a password, even if other users are not?   Is not a security feature?   I guess someone has been playing with the accounts and that damn, but I don't know how to fix it.

What we want to do, it's the computer starts without clicking on a user icon or use a password.  The user administrator account shouldn't like to be in the background?  Read somewhere that if you go in Mode safe that the original administrator with password user account will be there.    Huh?

    Tips are welcome.
    Thank you.

It is not * necessary * that you have any password on your system.  It's * sage * have accounts level administrative camps, each with a password and use a non-adminitsrative level account for everyday tasks.

I don't know what you read and where you read - but given your operating system - it is incorrect.  Combinations of name of user and password in Mode safe are the same as in normal mode.  In Windows XP Professional, you can see and use the built-in secure and normal mode administrator account.  It's Windows XP Home Edition, where you can only login as administrator integrated mode without failure.

Really, you MUST assign a password to all accounts.  You really should create a new user to be used every day (not administrator).  You can set up an automatic connection to one of these accounts - I recommend the non-admin.

  • No network after a power failure and only works in safe mode with network. Operating system is Vista SP2.

The latest patch to update this system was .net framework 4

This behavior has occurred on several machines after a power failure in our factory caused all systems restart.

    I have run chkdsk

    I ran sfc

    SafeMode internet works fine.

Clean boot does not solve the problem.

Cannot remove .net framework 4 because I can't get windows installation service to work properly.

X red on the connection in normal mode

I run with the reset.cmd file subinacl to reset all the registry settings. It gave no results.

I looked at all of the services that are running successfully in normal mode and those that are run in mode safe and that services to start. This got me internet again in normal mode, but we are far from finished there are a lot of services is still needed. I'll make one by an approach to see what will begin and what doesn't.

System Restore was successful, but had no bearing on the issue. Here's the solution that worked.

    Safe Mode boot

on computers that are running Windows live onecar I ran as administrator onecare removal tool

Remove the Adobe Flash 10 utility

    Open msconfig and services.msc

enable all services that are running in safe mode to run msconfig on the next reboot. Also enable required services for Windows updates and windows install

    Enable

BITS, com +, Windows udpate, workstation and service server and all dependent services. If you miss some that is good because you and individual services and start them from services.msc when the next restart.

    Restart the machine.

I found that after this reboot a few updates have been posted in the update list installed in the control panel that had not been previously listed.

Remove all instances of Java (cannot be done in safe mode)

Reinstall Java and flash player from their respective Web sites

I installed Microsoft Security Essentials www.microsoft.com/security_essentials

Run windows update and install the updates.

run msconfig and select normal startup

    Restart and ensure normal operation.

It takes about 1/2 hour, 1 hour per machine which was much lower than a full reinstall.

  • before the safe mode

I thought my computer had a problem with a recently installed program. I started to look around for a fix and stumbled upon the restoration of the system. I went from there by clicking on safe mode. I am now in safe mode and everything is different. The icons on my start page are great and my Web page is out of sorts & incomplete. Long story short - how do I return to where I was before?

You restart the computer to return to normal mode.

While you are in safe mode, your system restore, isn't that why you went to the 1st place.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    See you soon.

    1. Since when you are facing this problem?
    2. don't you make changes on the computer before the show?

  • Safe mode after upgrading to Windows 7

I have a Dell Inspiron N5010. After that I reinstalled Windows, windows only works in a kind of safe mode. I can't connect to the internet and the lay-out is different from the normal. Is this normal? If this is not the case, how can I solve this problem?

    Hello Thomas,.

I understand the inconvenience you encountered.

According to the description, you get a different presentation of the Office than normal. That seems to be the safe mode.

I would be grateful if you can provide us with the following information to help us better understand the issue.

    1. Do you see the safemode, wrote to the four corners of the screen?
    2. Are you black back ground with icons on it? or are you a complete black screen?

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check.

Method 1: If you don't get to safe mode, written to the four corners of the screen. I suggest that you follow the steps to start Windows 7 normal mode using the configuration of the system.

    Do follow the steps.

    1. Open the Start Menu, then type msconfig in the search box and press enter.
    2. If prompted by UAC, click Yes.
    3. Click the Startup tab.
    4. Select Windows 7 above and uncheck safe startup.
    5. Check the make all settings permanent starter .
    6. Click OK, and then restart the computer.
    7. The computer will now reboot and start Windows 7 normal mode.

However, if you are not in safe mode follow method 2.

Method 2: Install the drivers on the manufacturer's Web site.

I suggest you to download all drivers for windows 7 on another computer with Internet access. After you download the drivers, you can transfer to the computer that is having problems with the help of the USB. Once that pilots be transferred, try to install it on the computer that you publish.

I just had a new hard drive installed with xp. When I login with my username I notice there is no under Documents and Settings administrator account. It has no administrator under USERS account. When I boot in safe mode, the administrator account is here. How can I get the administrator to display on my ID?

Cannot delete the administrator account.  That is, it does not display.  To show this, open a command prompt window (start-> Run-> "cmd") and enter the command:
    net users
This will display a list of all the users set up on your system.  I bet that 'Administrator' is one of them (as in 'comments').

To connect as an administrator, you should disable the auto logon in Windows XP feature that allows to bypass the login screen.
