  • When you reply to an e-mail, OE selects my default account and the account I used initially

I recently reinstalled OE6 and restored all my messages.

I have 2 email OE accounts. By default an id and the other a pseudonym
I noticed that when I reply to an e-mail message that has been received in response to a message sent by my pseudonym, Outlook Express chooses automatically from my default e-mail account and not that I used initially and that the response answered.  I hope this makes sense.
I'm fairly certain that before you reinstall OE, if I received a response to an email I sent using my pseudonym account, OE automatically choose the pseudonym account to meet with and NOT the default e-mail account.
Is there a setting in OE for this?

  • When I try to send an email to multiple recipients, I get this message: "there are non-ASCII characters in the local part of the address of the recipient. This is not

I bought a new computer. When I try to send an e-mail to multiple recipients, now, I get this message: "there are non-ASCII characters in the local part of the address of the recipient. It is not yet supported. If please change this address and try again. "I don't know what are the non-ASCII characters, so I don't know what to do. I never had this problem on my old computer. Please explain in simple language.

The 'local' part in the context of email addresses, the part to the left of the symbol @. The warning is a bit of a surprise, because in general the owner of a mail server is relatively free to specify the address format. There is a movement to allow the games to other characters to be used in the fields, so I'm a little disappointed to see that, apparently, e-mail does not support the latter in the local part yet or it can be your SMTP server that generates this message.

ASCII characters ("American Standard Code for Information Interchange") are, on the whole, the English alphabet, uppercase and lowercase, as well as figures, common punctuation and case of things like the asterisks, obliques and media bars, but not of accented characters. But even apparently simple things like spaces and dashes have cousins who, at first glance, appear to be identical, but are not represented in the ASCII system. I am thinking especially nonbreaking spaces, dash and half-quadratin.

But I don't know why your new computer must have caused these warnings.

  • When you reply to an e-mail, the text is displayed in "boxes". Is it possible to convert them into ordinary text?

Many of the emails I get look good when I read them, but when I try to respond to their their text is divided into blocks (tables, perhaps?) and each box should be removed or changed separately as if I just change a web page of old style. Is it possible to remove any formatting information is causing this effect and reply to the sender using ordinary text?

I use Thunderbird for Linux 31.3.0, with 4 Mageia.

Note, fill out this form using Firefox 31.3.0 I notice that once more my choice of language of American English has been mysteriously deleted, which of course turns off the spell checker. This happens quite often. Occasionally, Firefox is trying to turn me into a Canadian instead and asked that I spell 'colour' with a 'u '. Very fun.

Red boxes? They appear when editing html messages and they represent the frameworks used by those who created the original message. They are useful if you want to alter the original content and keep for example paragraph styles. You choose type within a framework to continue his style, outdoors to use your own default values.

Why do you feel you have to remove them? I must say that when I see a lot of unnecessary nesting, that trying to simplify the structure, but I would only try to eliminate them entirely as a last and desperate resort.

Red boxes are not visible to those you send the message to.

You can select all, cut and use Paste without formatting to remove all the fancy stuff.

  • When I reply to an e-mail message, I need an option to have the active attachment to this email (as in redirect)...

When I send an e-mail message, the attachment is automatically added to the new e-mail message. It is ok. However when I answer, the attachment does not come and sometimes I need to have the current attachment. So I need an option like "reply with attachment" or something like that...

    Thank you

    Re: Forwarding

You have the possibility to transmit the received email 'inline' or as an 'attachment '.
This can be set up here:
'Tools' > 'Options' > "Composition" > tab "General".
It is because you do not react to a specific e-mail - selection of information of another person to another person, who may be better sent as an attachment.

    Re: response
In this case, you have the possibility:

    • include the email received in a response
    • Does not include the e-mail received in a response
    • include the selected part (citation) of the email received in response.

A response implies an ongoing conversation and if the option to include the conversation is available.
This is put in place here:
"Tools" > "Account settings" > "Composition & addressing" for the e-mail account.

But whether you choose to "automatically quote the original message when replying" or not, you can always highlight a section of text and then click 'Reply' to include only the selected section of the text.

A response will also include all received attachments attached to the original email because you don't need to send the shippers own spare.

Otherwise, you create a new message 'Write' and attach the original e-mail, so this isn't technically an answer - you do not use the 'Reply' button and these emails will not be strung. It is more difficult to see the continuity of the conversation.

  • How can I customize the toolbar when you use the browser of the attribute

In CVI 2012, changes in the toolbar depending on the environment, for example, it is different to the source window and the user interface editor. The toolbar can be customized using the Options menu / toolbar...

Unfortunately, when you use the browser of the attribute of the user interface editor, another toolbar is displayed, i.e. not the UI Editor toolbar... I would have assumed that the browser of the attribute belongs to the user interface editor, obviously this isn't... So, how can I customize the toolbar when you use the browser of the attribute?
