Things of Smartphones blackBerry in the owner's manual are not on the phone

difficult to find things that the manual said to do but are not actually on the phone. for example, the manual said to go to options and then direct connection options for me to set up my direct connect preferences. However, there is no direct don't connect option under 'options' on my phone. I ask this because I would like to find a way for me to have my phone but does not receive direct connect calls. I tried yesterday by setting the phone 'phone only' but I always receive direct connect calls. someone at - it suggestions?  I did a full software download today to see if that would fix it but it didn't. any help would be appreciated. Thank you

in any case, it's easy, you are missing just one step. On your device, there are many applications: browser, media, camera and so on.
And there is an app called phone. Yu have to get in there before opening the options.

  • BlackBerry software update failed Smartphone, cannot use the phone, but can attach to the computer access to the Internet.

How to fix the phone. Software of office says "cannot communicate with the device.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Good job on the recovery! But all is not lost for your data. If you did the update via your PC, then in the early stages of the process should have been a backup of your data (assuming you do not defeat this feature). If you're on a PC, then look for in your entire hard drive to a file with the extension of the IPD (*.) IPD)... check the date and time of the results... created more recently is your best candidate and if all goes well, it was created at the time you did the update. Use this procedure to restore this file:

    • KB10339 How to use BlackBerry Desktop Manager to restore the data to a BlackBerry smartphone from a backup file

If you use a MAC, I don't know how he does things, but maybe this KB is useful:

    • KB18776 Back up and restore BlackBerry smartphone data on a Mac using BlackBerry Desktop Software 2.0

If you performed the update OTA or otherwise circumvented the backup data, then you are indeed no chance.

  • Problem Bluetooth PRIV Smartphones blackBerry with the BMW 328 model 2013

I tried several days get my PRIV to connect with my bluetooth and phone/book music and the only way to make it work is to disable the function of my phone. When I try to connect my BB PRIV to my car, there will be des-1001,-1002, etc., next to the bluetooth signal and after a few seconds he suddenly resets my car bluetooth system. There is no new update for my car system and I have never had a problem with other Android, BlackBerry, or even Apple devices. It's the first time that this problem occurs and it's phone contacts which are somehow overloading my car infotament system. However there is no way for me to specifically stop the phone contact because even though I do in the bluetooth on the phone settings, every time I get in my car it resets the permissions and tries to connect again AGAIN and AGAIN the cause of the problem. Please let me know if my phone is broken software wise, or if the application contact break you guys used somehow some systems of infotament of the telephone directories of car etc. Cause the phone book may never load and I tried several times to make it work.

Hey, if I could get my phone with my car, including the audio both phone and bluetooth features. In order for me to get it to work I had to download the new firmware from

    http://www.BMW.com/com/en/owners/connected_drive_services/mobile_devices/bluetooth_software_update.h...

I put the last seven digits of my vin number in the search and downloaded the update to a USB plugged on the center console of my car. Once it was done I tried to connect and to my surprise my contacts list appeared. I pulled the top of Spotify and it played without screaming and cutting. I tried a phone call, and it worked as well. I want to test a little on my lunch hour but well again.

See if it works for you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry support insists that STV100-1 does not support the China Mobile HK?

Then I go to Hong Kong right now with my Priv, using a prepaid of China Mobile Hong Kong that I've used with my classic. Noticed that I can not make calls with it so I called BlackBerry charge to open a support case.

    I noticed two things:

-I am able to receive a 4G signal

-Whenever I make a call, network goes to no Service. I also can't find any network if the phone is set on 2G or 3G only

-I can not receive calls, it keeps saying number not reachable, as if the phone was turned off

-In the phone app, my number is listed as unknown.

After a lot of troubleshooting with the support rep, she argued that my private does not support the China Mobile HK, which doesn't seem wise. I'm temporarily using the card with a backup of Telus/Koodo G4, while my private does not work, and it works fine.

    Priv STV100-1 supports:

    • FD - LTE 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 17, 20, 29, 30
    • HSPA + 1, 2, 4, 5/6, 8

    H812 G4 Telus LG support:

    • FD - LTE 2, 4, 5, 7, 12, 17
    • HSPA + 1, 2, 4, 5/6

China Mobile uses UMTS and LTE 3/7 1/8. This is why don't the Priv actually be MORE supported? I ' n suspect a hardware issue yet I can't seem to convince management of the case.

Okay, BlackBerry RMAing my device now, so I guess that's it.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones cannot lock the phone through blackberry ID

    Hello

I take a phone of my coleague who has left the company. For some reason, I can't able to connect on the phone. Firstly I didn't at first, the password of my coleague ex, I went online and changed the password. However, when I want to connect with my new password to unlock the phone, I have this message:

"You have exceeded the number of attempts to connect.

For security reasons, you have been locked for 15 minutes. "Click on forgotten password if you need create a new password.

But after 15 minutes and try again, the message... helpppp

You try the BlackBerryID, or the security password, on the device?

It looks like the BlackBerryID if you are locked out for 15 minutes.

A wrong entered security password would give you only a message something like «wrong password 2/10»

Then, to change the BBID of this device and make it 'your own' device, you'll need to do a wipe of the device security. This will delete all the data in personal, contacts, calendar, etc. and restore the State of the plant basically.

Read this: BlackBerry smartphone must be wiped before transferring the property Security

  • Problems of 8700 Smartphone blackBerry in the dark.

Hi I have a 8700 I bought on amazon that I have one contract sim so I am struggling to find help.

As expected, the backlight of the screen turns off when not in use for a period of time. However when it is dark, the light from the screen not coming back upwards again.  To get the screen to go back to the top again once I tried pressing the power button, but that only turns on the backlight keyboard and the LCD display turns but no backlight, I can't do what I do in particular because it is dark.

The problem does not occur in a bright room or in broad daylight.

Is it possible that the phone think it is holstered?  And is it possible to replace it?

Thanks a lot for any advice.

The first thing to try when your phone behaves badly, it is a battery continuously:
    1. remove the battery while the phone is turned on
    2. wait a few seconds before inserting it again
    3. wait for the long end of the boot process (takes a few minutes usually)

This clears most of the software problems that occur on the BlackBerry from time to time. You can also use Quickpull, a free application that simulates a battery pull without removing the battery: http://software.crackberry.com/product.asp?id=27660
A battery pull gets lost when using the applications memory and clears minor software errors that creep over time. The blackberry is running an operating system just like your PC is running windows and battery pull is the equivalent of a reboot / restart your computer.

If the battery pull does not work, it seems that your automatic drive could be the cause of the problem. Go to Options > keyboard/screen. From here, turn to ' backlight automatically dim ' on 'off '. When the LED is located, it has a light sensor to detect the brightness of your entourage that automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen. This sensor does not work correctly. Or your backlight is dying and you might want to increase the "brightness". If the phone is under warranty, you can try it Exchange/return.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry in the Republic of Korea

    Hello!
I intend to buy unlocked Blackberry Bold 9700.
It will work in the Republic of Korea? Don't understand what sort of standards of communication here. I need a phone for Europe (GSM) and the Korea.

    My best regards!

It will work for phone and sms. If your carrier/operator supports BlackBerry so it will work also for email, bbm, etc.. If they are not, then you will get phone and sms only.

  • BB user new Smartphones blackBerry; Tap the Contacts icon and device service PHOTO appears

    Hello

Not only I am a new Blackberry user, I just use an older Motorola RAZR flip phone.  I know almost nothing about these 'new' phones!  Then... I printed the page 327 User Guide (327 pages - summers - you're KIDDING? and can't find the answer I need.)

When I press the icon 'Contacts', the characteristics of the camera appear.  I do NOT get a list of contacts from which to choose call or text someone.  When I press the icon 'Text', I used to get a "thread" of my most recent texts with a person, not a list of contacts to choose text.

Earlier, when I said «I used to get...» "this was the case until this morning and I pressed a selection from somewhere (Options? Settings?  do not remember) this icon not highlighted the 'Contacts' on the homepage quite... but still, when I press the icon 'Contacts' not highlighted, I have the choice of camera still come to the top.

Sigh... could someone help me understand how to get a LIST of your contacts, so I can choose who I want to call or text and tell me how to get RID of the info from the upcoming camera whenever I press Contacts?

    Thank you very much!

Always start with a battery pull when the strangeness slips into your phone. To make a correct battery pull, remove the battery while your phone is on, then replace a few seconds later. The phone must be powered on when you do this. Your phone will reboot and hopefully everything will be as it was.

Try this and post back with your results.

  • Way to Smartphones blackBerry to the North, the SIM card

Hi, I have a new Blackberry (7230).   I've never used a mobile phone or PDA phone before.    I had 2 BlackBerry for e-mail or text messaging services and an organizer for the moment.

I don't know anything about SIM cards except my needs a Blackberry.

    My Blackberry is unlocked.

Any good suggestions on A SIM that I can use for only text or email messages?

We can improve our SIMs later.

I just go to a provider and get a SIM card?   I will not get a phone also program? A supplier will just sell me a SIM card for text messaging or to activate the Blackberry e-mail push?

BlackBerry has SIM cards?  I went to the website, they do not seem to.

7230... again... How about you, we say "new for you".

You can get a SIM card from your provider for free, or almost nothing. This will depend on the carrier if they offer one data plan, some do it.

  • Smartphones blackBerry DESKTOP MANAGER AND APPLE LION DOES NOT - COME ON BB: the SORTING

There is a clear problem with BB desktop manager and the LION from Apple.

In my case, the sorfware installation fails (even if you can find then on the applications). Then it is unable to download updates or fails to synchronize. It is a common and widespread problem.

BLACKBERRY KNOW THIS PROBLEM FOR SOME TIME AND DO NOT REACH THEIR CUSTOMERS.

They can feel it stop somehow customers migrate to the iPhone. This isn't the issue. More and more business customers (like me) are turning to Apple computers. If they (at least for the moment) that BlackBerrys are not suitable to great problems have, then the move will be also with our desktop phones. I don't want that I feel that the BB Torch is a business phone much better.

  • Use of Smartphones blackBerry to the Mexico

I will be going to Mexico in 2 weeks and would like to know if I'll be able to use the internet and check my email on my Blackberry Curve 8330, while I'm there? My service is the United States. Anyone know?

I contacted the supplier of world food DAY and here's what I learned: the Blackberry Curve 8330 data services will not work to Mexico, if your service is the United States. You must have the world edition phone for data services. The phone itself would work for $3.00 per day more than $1.99 per minute for incoming and outgoing calls. Text messaging also will not work.

    Thanksfor the tip.

  • Problem of Smartphones blackBerry with the button mute

So I was playing songs on my blackberry 9700 when I tried pause button works fine but anyway after some time stopped working for some strange reason.

I also reboot the phone given that it could be a software error, but nothing helped.

Kindly advise on how bad the problem or do I have to go into a blackberry shop for repair.

    Thanking in anticipation >

If a battery pull did not tour (and I hope that your phone is powered when you removed the battery, otherwise it will do nothing to help you), reload your operating system is the next logical step.

To do this, connect your phone to your PC via USB and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  Once your phone has been recognized, click device at the top of the software, and then restore the menu drop down.  Choose the most recent restore point and the recharge.  That should do the trick.  If this isn't the case, you should return to your carrier for replacement.

    I hope that helps you.
