  I just got my Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E530 and downloaded single tap. It does not work when I touch the screen with my fingers.   I believe that the portable only in several Lenovo product lines that have multi touch (pen + finger) screens are Tablet PCs, like the X230T and some of the IdeaPads. If I'm wrong, I'm sure an expert Lenovo is soon be along to correct me, but at this point, I'd say you not 'touch' ability on your edge.

• Edge E330 problems with OS 2

  Got a new E330 and I'm supposed to use Windows and linux for the University distribution, I tried installing fedora on my Thikpad 19. After having downloaded the .iso image file and install, everything has worked, except the wireless lan. I can't turn it on, and I can't find the drivers for a linux distribution.
  Well, after a few hours I just wanted to return to 8.1 windows and the boot manager didn't work. My friends helped me and after some google search we have disabled the UEFI and I could start W8. Knit the two, but the problem with the wifi is still there.

  I've updated my (initially Windows 7 equipped) Thinkpad E530 to the latest version of the BIOS version 2.55.

  I also installed Windows 8.1 x 64 on it.

  My question is: can I use the "OS Optimized Defaults" in BIOS or not?

  In the BIOS install descriptions, it is said to use the optimized default OS on a pre-installed Windows 8 (x 64) machine, and to use the ordinary default values on a Windows 7 preinstalled machine.
  But my computer was a machine 7 pre-installed, but is now running Windows 8 x 64. If the default values should I charge?

  To use the system with "Default values of the optimized operating system", you have reinstall the Windows 8 operating system after allowing optimized OS default "values. If you change the format of disk partition HARD operating system will not work.

• Graphics ThinkPad Edge e520 problem

  So I got my new computer laptop and for some reason any graphics card is not working properly. Whenever I try to play starcraft2 on support (which even the chp to intel is able to do), it looks like this when you use the radeon:

  I emailed AMD about this and they told me its probably a problem of drivers, but their CCC does not support switchable graphics books and I should ask for drivers lenovo. But I can't find anything but the drivers of the chip intel. I don't have a phone available right now and I can't seem to find a support email address and it gets pretty frustrating and I wonder why they use this switchable graphic thing, if they can't even operate

  I tried to turn the chip intel offshore but used CCC recognize the same when I do this, also for some reason any disable one of radeon graphics cards seems to be another one works does not more properly be :/

  128 GB is a unit of Samsung. Very similar to the Samsung 830.

  I have a problem changing my BIOS settings after installing win8.1 and activation of bitlocker. I tried to reformat the partition, it's on, so I wiped it off with gparted and now all the settings in the bios are greyed out and I can't change anything. What can I do to be able to modify my BIOS?

  What I did to remove the hard drive, install in my office. There, I installed win8.1 again alongside my linux partition. After I put in my laptop and initialized in win8.1 where I have enabled bitlocker and then disabled. Now my bios are unlocked again.

  This error comes from the BIOS, it means that something is wrong detecting mSATA SSD.  It can point to a hardware problem.  It is certainly not a software problem.  I call the helpline in your country and ask what they recommend on this subject.

  In other words the RAM that is missing from your 4 GB is set aside for your integrated graphics.  If your operating system will recognize only the 3.6 GB as usable.

  Today, Lenovo and updated software drivers made some updates. And after that Dolby Advanced Audio not working anymore, and because of that, I think, I can't launch any music that is in the computer and video which are in my computer play with no sound.

  So the problem is that I can't find version 7.2.7000.11 to download drivers or software that allows to launch with 7.2.8000.13 version. And BTW, backup is not yet done for my laptop.

  I bought my Thinkpad around time of December-January, and since there has been some recurring problems.
