  I am located in the Japan and I need a SMC.bin file to reset the password of the bios for a 2570p here.

  I contacted the support to the Japan HP, but the only option that they provide is to send the machine and it will cost ~ $160 for repairs.

  I raised a support ticket with HP in the United States - case ID is 4654554531, but they said since the machine is not purchased in the United States, they could not help.

  Could HP want to provide me with a file SMC.bin so that I can reset the password using the procedure described here:

  Need help please, I can't access the bios on this laptop. I posted a message earlier on this issue, but inaccurate reports typo in the password number. It should have been 60687364. Gezahegn please how can I get into the BIOS to remove the passwords. The number you gave me is not working, I'm sure that for that reason. I replied to your response on my post, but nothing has changed in a few days, so I thought that a new position could do the trick.

  RTC battery must be removed for at least 5 minutes. Don't forget to unplug the laptop and remove the main battery and perhaps the HD to get to the battery of the CCF.
