Stops screen Thinkpad T410

Have noticed that my T410 started this thing where it stops at the Thinkpad screen and nowhere.

Download for Windows at all.

Re-booting seems to fix the problem.

Using a wireless connection to the router.

Everything else on the T410 is stock such as pronounced.

No plug-in devices.

Model: 2516 CTO

Changed the BIOS boot order and will keep an eye on it.

Thank you.

  • How many points/fingers on the touch screen of Thinkpad T410S?

    Hello

I know that the Thinkpad T410s can have a touch screen. I would like to know:

    (1) can you confirm that it is a N-Trig touchscreen?

    (2) can you tell me if it is a multitouch or a multipoint touch screen, and how many points/fingers are supported? I would like to have a technology 4 fingers; Lenovo web site, I read that it's a new technology. So if I have a T410s in January or February 2011, will be I that technology 4 fingers on my touchscreen?

    Thank you very much

    Victor

    (1) Yes, N-Trig.

    (2) Yes, 4 fingers :-)

  • ThinkPad T410 boots only if the power supply is plugged

    Hello

I have a really strange bug. My thinkpad T410 (2537-UQF) with an OCZ Vertex 3 SSD boots only if the power supply is connected. If I have a full battery, and try to boot without the power I get a blue screen after about 60 seconds on the screen where the windows logo appears. I have Windows 7 installed fresh a few days ago.

I think its possible, I've done a few failure with drivers. The power management ThinkPad always stops working after startup. So I deleted the program using the feature "msconfig".

I'm not really sure what I can do about it. Any idea?

Thanks for any answers in advance & regards

    Rain

    OK I solved the problem:

The workaround is to set to battery power settings in the BIOS to auto. If the power in the Bios settings are on maximum battery life, the system does not start if you use the SSD OCZ Vertex 3.

Hope this helps everyone who has the same problem. I need 4 days to understand this.

  • ThinkPad T410 Upgrade option

I start by saying that I love my thinkpad! There's just one thing I don't like abtou it and it is the plug there atm. This is the laptop I'm using right now:

    ThinkPad T410 2539 - Core i5 520 M/2.4 GHz - vPro - RAM 4 GB - 320 GB - DVD-brander - HD Graphics - Gigabit Ethernet - WLAN: 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 - TPM - vingerafdruklezer - 14.1 inches; breedbeeld TFT 1280 x 800 (WXGA)

The thing is, it's perfect for simple office tasks, but really miss me a grapich power when I go to work and on the road. So I was wondering, what options are there to upgrade the CPU/video card?

OK, thanks for your response. I'm guessing there is nothing for me to do that so go get another laptop.

Well don't get me wrong the T410 is always a great computer and not this old, but seems useless to me and spend too much to upgrade a previous generation Thinkpad so all you will get is a graphics card that is a little better. Buy a new T420 will be still more expensive of course, but then you get a brand new model with all new features and HW.

  • ThinkPad T410

I anticipate get me the new ThinkPad T410, but I need to know one thing.

    The integrated video graphics card is the following;

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 5700MHD - AMT

What is the max resolution that can be set to when the laptop is connected to a 40 "LCD?

I see that the video options include 2 discrete graphics cards, but I really don't need them unless onboard video can't display the resolution I need.

the use of the integrated Intel GPU display port can support up to resolution WQXGA, which is 2560 x 1600.

Yes. All you have to do is swap the current palmrest with one that has a fingerprint reader built-in.

  • vidstub.sys caused a stop screen

In the edition of Win XP Media Ctr, I tried to install Bootscreen and change the splash screen, and it caused the computer with a blue screen.

I guess we do not know what says the STOP screen and vidstub.sys is not an XP file, but belongs to the people of Bootscreen.

I guess that their tech support could not help?

After the reboot and your system begins to load XP, start typing the F8 key until you get to the advanced and Startup Options menu, chose the last known good Configuration.

If you miss the F8 niche, restart the system and try again.

When your system boots successfully and you stop (successfully), you will find XP said it once "settings...". "and one of the things for this is to create what should be a 'good' copy of your current registry configuration in a separate location in the registry.

When you add a new software or update something that can include a pilot, and then your system does not start (as vidstub.sys), LKGC is the option to choose.

When you choose LKGC, XP will not attempt to load the 'normal' potentially distressed registry that points to the annoying drivers, but will use the register that was saved the last time THAT XP booted successfully.  If the system boots, you can uninstall or cancel whatever it was that dealt with the issue in the first place.

LKGC won't help with many other genres of any startup script (sorry, Microsoft Support Engineer hired 'experts'), but is the ideal solution when you suspect an incompatible driver is the problem.

    Hey,.

I have a T410 and recently installed some custom Windows 7 theme pack controller. I don't actually use the program, but when I uninstalled it, it took the login screen black of all my different themes with him. Is it possible to get it back?

    Hi, GVP,.

    Welcome to Lenovo Community!

I'm not sure you're talking about the black ThinkPad page when system starts. You can read this article: T410 - reinstall Lenovo Welcome Screen (screen during startup)

  • Satellite Pro M70 - stopped screen lights

    Hello

My Toshiba Satellite PRO M70 screen lights.
I don't know why, but sometimes when the screen is broken and I put it up it turns on, but after a few seconds it stops.

It started a few days without something strange in my pc like hitting or something like that.
I tried to connect an external display and it works weell.

Anyone know why it cant pass or how fix it?

    Thank you

    Greetings

    Toni.

    Hello

    The Fn keys work?
You can increase the display button narrowly by using the FN + F7 combination?

Please also check the energy saving profile.
Maybe the display brightness is set to a lower value in the power saver profile.

But if you will not find anything unusual in the settings of the software, so I guess that the brightness display problem is related to the failure of inverter FL.
The FL inverter controls the brightness of the screen, and this part needs to be replaced.

  • Screen faded T410

From a few days ago, the colors on my Lenovo T410 and the connected external monitor began to appear dimmed. It quickly became a big problem because I am a web designer and now do not have the ability to view accurate representations of my work.

The problem is most obvious when I wake the computer. For anywhere from half a second to three seconds, the image shows the exact colors, but then it moves to the State I described in which all colors appear dimmed.

I have confirmed that the problem is related to the computer (not the monitor) by testing my external monitor with another laptop. When I performed this test, the colors appeared on the external screen, as it should.

I bought this laptop there are a little less than 2 years, but because its one year warranty has expired I was deprived of assistance by telephone technical support from Lenovo. If anyone here can help me to troubleshoot and resolve this problem, I would be really grateful.
