    > I think that the motherboard may be dead, but I can't be sure.
    > I also did the tour of the reset button but still no luck. Any tips?

Which is a shame. I guess you don t have a lot of options.
From my point of view of a few it's necessary to know what part is faulty: part built in Notepad (motherboard, etc.) or external part (adapter).

But even if the power adapter for laptop s would be defective, the unit should light up in case the battery is charged. In case the battery is empty, the unit will not supply.
I think that this need to be clarified in the first step before you start checking the other parts.

The next step should contain the check RAM and motherboard and in my opinion, only a cell phone technician would be able to perform the audit of the detailed hardware diagnostics.

I recently got a used laptop from a family member, that we were in trouble. We replaced the battery which is partially charged, so it worked for awhile. However when that failed and we have tried to charge the cell phone. Nothing happened, it won't turn on and when the charger is plugged in nothing happened.

The only thing that happens is when you plug the charger and try and turn it on, the little light beside the accusation taken flashes.

    Any ideas?

As the power\charge LED does not illuminate, this means that either the power adapter, DC power on the laptop or the system board connector have a problem.

If I were you, I would like to start with an AC adapter. You say it's one that you've inherited, a manner of speaking. A new power adapter costs way less than a new laptop computer. Find one online by doing a search with the HP dm1-4004sa adapter as keywords.  They are as inexpensive as $12.00. http://www.Amazon.com/DM1-4000EE-DM1-4004SA-DM4-1277SB-DM4-3052NR-DM4-3090SE/DP/B00Q8QMF3K

Here, the research that I did is.. You must perform your own search because it will use more results local server.

If the power light does not light, it's a diagnosis.

A power\charge blinking LED means that the battery has failed, but no LED no battery me would right adapter.

I found the part on ebay for $60, ordered and installed this weekend and now everything works fine. The laptop power connector was twisted and was not making contact with the plug of the charger. (It is a common problem with these computers) but it took a while to find a power supply Board for replacement (446524-001) for a reasonable price. (The battery had nothing to do with it, it was caused by a bad connection on the DC in jack).

  • IPhone 5 c not charge or turn on

Then, I got my IPhone 5 c for Christmas in 2014. Until a month ago, he was perfectly fine. Recently, I had trouble getting it to recharge. For a while, back whenever it would not load worked. Yesterday morning, I tried to load it. The battery had been fully drained. It would not load. I held the home button and sleep as I usually do to reset. After only about two minutes of holding in and it does not entire, I gave up. I tried to let it charge for a few hours and then try again. That did not work also. Today, I left it for about 2 hours before trying it too, which wasn't working. Help, please! Thank you.

The way I see it. There are 3 reasons for this.

    1. the battery no longer works.

    2. the charger does not work

    3. the entry load on your iPhone does not work.

I would hand in the phone to a store of troubleshooting if changing the charger does not work.

    Good luck

Keep it connected then press and hold button power 5 sec long.

You can also check if you would be able to get the restore menu.

  • ThinkPad Edge 14 does not charge

I have a new problem with my laptop (ThinkPad Edge 14; 0578A 25) where the battery is.

I have not had a problem until recently, and I don't know what caused it.  Here are the changes that have occurred since the last time I know, he has been in charge properly.

    Before noticing not battery

    1. Update all drivers Lenovo and your software by "Lenovo - update and drivers" in the control panel
    2. Noticed the new 'battery Firmware Update' in the power manager which was not in the old version.
    3. Utility of BFU said that it is up to date

After noticing the charging of the battery has not been

    1. Uninstalled Power Manager and driver Power Manager, reset the management power and rebooted the computer
    2. Still not charging the battery, so I downloaded the wrapper battery to update the firmware on the Lenovo site and ran it (says firmware is up to date as well)
    3. Reinstalled Power Manager and driver Power Manager
    4. A ran a battery meter reset, but he would not be executed (battery was not load to full capacity, so my problem again)

I don't know what else to try or where to go from here.  Is there anything I can try, maybe a way to reload the firmware to try to reset.  I don't want to have to buy a new battery when it was working fine until I used a Lenovo utility that obviously broke something.

    I HAVE THE SOLUTION!

I turned off my antennas to my resources and find the solution.

Appearantly, when everything, updated the driver loaded before Microsoft update is not compatible with the new updates.  So, here's what you do to remedy this:

    1. Turning off the computer completely (Shut Down, no standby or Hibernate
    2. Remove the levels, leaving only the AC adapter for power.
    3. Starting in "safe" mode
    4. Open Device Manager and expand the section of the battery.
    5. Remove all the drivers except the power adapter (right click and click on uninstall)
    6. Shut down the computer.
    7. Reinstall the battery, leaving the power adapter plugged as well upward.
    8. Turning on the computer as usual.

Marvel at the fact that the battery is in charge now.

  • HP ENVY Notebook PC m6: HP Envy does not charge while the laptop is turned on.

    Hello

Well, I'm having some trouble loading with my HP ENVY. My laptop does not load as I'm with her. It will charge, but it does charge when the laptop is closed and sometimes if it has locked and disabled.  I don't know if it would be the battery or the power supply? Maybe something internally?

    Key points

    * Battery charge does that when the lid is closed (sleep mode). **

    * If I close the lid and plug in the charger, the light indicates orange and the battery will deliver to load almost exhaustive *.

    * If I open the lid before the orange light changing to white, battery icon always says: _ % available (plugged in, does not support). **

    * I tried to waste the battery. I removed the battery and the AC adapter is plugged in. I tried to turn on the laptop or don't put in place *.

I don't have to replace anything yet. I was hoping to find out if anyone has had this happen to them before.

    Hello!

I was with my hp envy m4 core i7 for quite a while now... recently, I formatted and installed windows 8.1 64-bit installed. I decided to download some drivers from the hp site and I realized I needed to provide my model of laptop model number I could not remember so I decided to remove the battery while the computer is still connected to the power for the number, then I went back to the battery. the latter, I realized that the cell had not accused beyond of 7%, which was the level of support, until I removed the battery and when I checked the charge level, it indicated that it was plugged in but does not support. When I tried to repeat the entire process as well as close the laptop, remove the battery and turning it again nothing work and completely refusing to charge for its on.when I decided to turn off completely and then it was off it perfectly complete accused 100% operating battery estimated more than six hours of charge time, guys help me to understand what might have developed and what will be the best solution.

    Hi @Phanz,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

I entered which you have tried to download the driver on the HP website for your laptop but realized you need the model number.  You have removed the battery while the laptop is running.  Now when you reinstall the battery, it shows that it is connected but does not charge and continues to 7%.   You have repeated the process and close Notepad and removed and reinstalled battery, but there was no change. If you turn off it charges the battery to 100%.

You did all your Windows updates?

Have you tried the troubleshooter in Windows?

First of all, I would like to try a Windows restore to before remove you the battery.

HP computers - using the Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8)

If restore doesn't work or is not possible, you could try a Refresh Your PC to solve problems (Windows 8).

Then you can try the following steps.

HP laptops - test and calibrate the battery (Windows 8)

The battery method compatible ACPI Microsoft control is basically the driver that communicates between the computer and the battery. There is a chance that it became corrupt and bad reads the battery level.

Step 1. Go to the Device Manager
    Step 2. Select the stacks
Step 3. Click with the right button on the "Microsoft compatible battery ACPI Control method" which is in the list
    Step 4. Click on uninstall
Step 5. At the command prompt, put a checkmark in the box to remove the current driver
Step 6. Shut down the computer

Step 7: Remove the battery for a minute and then put new

When the computer returns to the top it should automatically find the driver.

Step 8. Go to the Device Manager
    Step 9. Select the stacks
Step 10. Click with the right button on the "Microsoft compatible battery ACPI Control method" which is in the list
Step 11. Click "automatically search for an updated driver.

Do the same thing with embedded controller compatible ACPI Microsoft.

Last option is to reinstall your Windows 8.1 Pro.

    Good luck!

  • Battery not charging - Thinkpad E531

    Dear Lenovo,

I have been using Windows 7, but I recently changed to Windows 8.1.

In Win7, I was able to install and use the Lenovo power management software, and I changed the threshold of 40 to 50% battery.

After I installed Win8.1, I realized there is not any software for Windows 8.1 E531 power management, so I can't charge my battery above 50%.

It seems that power management software makes somekind of related material change or do not remember my previous settings which I did in Win7.

How can I change the thresholds without reinstalling windows 7 and power management software?

Could you give me a link to a management software can be used for Windows 8.1 E531 Thinkpad power (which is 100% working)?

    Another solution?

    Thank you!

    Hi Tray86,
