• Having trouble getting a REST to work with our ticketing system

  After building servers my team must complete the tickets for the kickoff of a 'validation' workflow to verify the server is in place and configured as expected. Our ticketing system can accept many REST calls to automate this process and prevent us from manually fill in a form again.   Nevermind that. After working with our web developers, it turns out that someone has changed the method of authentication of this goofy apikey led to NTLM. I tried that and you can now query information without problem.

  I see that Foglight has a ticketing system, so I create a user and then create a test ticket and assign the ticket to that user.

  BUT I see that the user does not receive a notification by e-mail.

  am I missing something?

  I am a contact center analyst in the conversion process our assistance service of an Avaya ACD to 8.5 UCCX Cisco as part of a company-wide VOIP conversion. We are about two weeks of commissioning with UCCX reproducing our current capabilities of Avaya and functionality. At this point, I started trying to find ways to improve operational efficiency and productivity with UCCX in the form of post-conversion changes and introduction of features.

  My question for the experts, with 8.5 UCCX and CAD is possible to create a CSQ non-telephone in queue Incidents our cure to our agents? The aim is to offer tickets in queue to our agents and ultimately be able to track and report on efficiency measures combined. My thought is that this feature should be similar to the functionality of email agent, we cannot benefit from the reason of incompatibility UCCX with our Lotus Domino messaging platform.

  Extend the schema on ADSGroup table to groups of flag for tickets

  Request:
  The customer wishes to have a ticket created in their ticketing system, whenever they are added to an ad group regardless of the reason (directly or inherited through roles). I created a custom process and attached to the event of insertion for the ADSAccountInADSGroup table depending on whether the indicator is the ADSGroup user is inserted in.

  Question:
  It seems to work great for groups directly affected, but it does not appear that the ADSAccountInADSGroup table contains all the assignments, if the user receives through a role inherited business dynamic ad group. I missed another link table that would have that information? I thought with the changes to 7, all ad group assignments has resided in this table, regardless of the source?

  I live in Belarus now and trying to get the support of Apple for a few days. Any time, I try to get help, I get redirected to the page where only the telephone communication is available. Belarus still isn't in the list and good old ticket system is not available either, I'm in a situation when the support is not available at all. It will be super awesome if this problem is solved.

  Maybe someone has any ideas how to deal with it, except for calls to another country?

• Firefox is to connect on websites

  After the last update, I open a new browser and connect in my company ticket system. He ends by disconnects me and I have to click on the registered user and pass for you to log in again. Not a big deal, but it's annoying. This also happens with all other sites. Gmail, youtube... name you. I can connect and it works, but it ends by logging out me and I have to log in again. Sometimes does so fairly quickly and other times it takes awhile, but it will always happen. This is not the case with IE or Chrome.

  I did the stuff so far.
  Uninstall and reinstall fees
  Delete all cache files
  Remove the cookie.sqlite (or whatever it was called) file

  Another user reported this yesterday (unsolved). Its installation should automatically start in private browsing mode (in Options / Privacy: "never remember history"). Your Firefox is set up this way too, or do you use normal navigation mode?

• Is there a way to make firefox to open hypertext links to local files?

  My company has a system of custom Office and of course its developed for IE, but none of the engineers like IE. We all use and wish to continue using Firefox. The sections in the ticket system a a place for links to local files on a shared drive. I created the link and point to a word document. This hyperlink works fine in IE but it does nothing when you click in Firefox.

  Of course the dev team gives me the line of old age '.NET play well with Firefox... developed for IE... blah blah use IE.»

  Probably link to a local file as excel or word or even a directory is a simple idea and needs to be done somehow with FireFox right? Can someone help with that and give a suggestion how to make this work?

  I think there are two aspects to this:

  (1) URL format

  If you access this file using the dialog box of the browser open the file (Ctrl + O), you can get the format of practical link for it. For example, the separators will be oblique instead of backslashes.

  (2) local file security

  Firefox limits access to pages on web servers, to pages on the local drive or UNC paths. This article has more information: links to local pages don't work - MozillaZine Knowledge Base. This extension provide a workaround: LocalLink (I have not tried myself).

• Rule-variable to change gravity

  I'm pumping my alerts in a ticketing system.  And found that foglight uses a system of gravity of 1-4 with 4 being the most serious alert "mortals."  My ticketing system uses a severity 1-5, 1 being the most severe level.  I think I need to create a variable of the rule that is an expression that basicially runs an if statement then and said that if severty foglight is 4 then set to 1 if it is 3, then the value 2, etc... However, I'm not familiar with how to write such a statement and was hoping that someone here can help?

  1. is it possible to install the Cisco ISE software on the server machine to physical HP (without solution VMware or without the use of SNS-3415-k9 cisco device)?

  2. for 2500 users online, I'll order L-ISE-BSE-2550, L-ISE-PLS-S-2500 and L-ISE-APX-S-2500 of basis, more and apex licenses. My question is HA (primary and secondary) application I need 2 licenses for each? (2 * L - ISE - BSE - 2550, 2 * L - ISE - PLS - S - 2500 and 2 * L - ISE - APX - S - 2500)

  or just a license for each is enough?

  3. If I implement Cisco ISE and HA on VMware environment, can I 2 L-ISE-VM-K9 licenses for each VM machines? and also I need 2 licenses for each basic, plus, and at the apex?

  You can install ISE on a HP ONLY Server if you are using software virtualization (VMware or KVM).

  The Guide of Installation of ISE sets out three options:

  1 hardware appliance from cisco SNS

  2. virtual machine VMware

  3 Linux KVM.

  The AnyConnect license is required to qualify with the features of the Apex. It is not installed on the ISE server, however.

• Why the AppModuleImpl can not implement MessageListener?

  I tried like crazy market to get some kind of asynchronous updates to work with ADF and it becomes the best of me.  My past attempts have been arguing JMS in the image.

  Of a bean to support, I invoke a method AppModuleImpl.  This method adds a ticket # & status in a transient view object and then calls a Message Driven Bean.  This bean gets the message with ticket # and starting to do some work.  During this process, the message bean sends status updates via the 'back' queue, attaching the ticket # in the process.  The AppModuleImpl class implements MessageListener, connects with this queue 'back', and calls its onMessage method.  This, in theory, would allow me to update the view transition with a new status, automatically updated my page jspx object in the process.

  It does not work.  On the integration of the program I get this...

  I also tried this approach with a bean of support view extended with particularly strange results (Messaging - JSF Backing Bean boots Variable flow Capacitor and goes back in time... time... time - Stack Overflow).

  How the world can implement some sort of asynchronous update with ADF Essentials?  Is it still possible without question?  I do not think that an asynchronous web service would work as reminders trigger only when the operation is complete (correct?).  Ideas?

• vCenter alarms & SNMP Trap

  Gang-

  I try to get my vCenter alarms to send traps SNMP for SNMP Manager/receiver so we can automatically open the service tickets based on certain types of vCenter alarms.  I have loaded MIB and OID translate for VMWARE-VC-EVENT-MIBs.

  Everything goes well and using the free utility TrapReceiver I'm able to test receive interrupts.

  Here's my problem...

  I don't know how vCenter is differentiate the name of alarm vCenter in trap data.  Some vCenter alarms/traps, I want my ticket system to open lower or higher priority tickets, so I need to figure out how vCenter translated the alarm at the "vmwVpxdObjValue" into the trap.  Unfortunately I can't find any information on how to translate this value and I don't want to wait for all my events to trigger production, just to get a sample, so I don't know what to expect.

  Well shoot - that isn't quite right either.

  Seems that if it is a fault of the alarm system, the TRAP will leverage the value of $alarm.extensiondata.info.systemname as the beginning of the vmwVpxdObjectValue data.

  If it is a user/custom alarm, it seems to refer to the value of $alarm.extensiondata.info.name.

  I have to have a script that includes both.
