  Although it is possible to create a new ID of BB and move your BBs on the new BB ID association, the "cost" is that you lose all your pre-registrations AppWorld, including purchased applications.   This is what happened to me:

  I created a BBID to my passport some time ago. I went to buy an app recently and since it was if long that I had to remember my password, I forgot. I went to the settings page to reset it. The popup says I had to answer a security answer to be able to reset my password. I didn't know the answer to the question, so I saw the opportunity to reset the account. I clicked on that and proceeded to do so. I've disabled the original BBID and created a new using the same e-mail address but different screen name.

  This is where I'm having a problem. My phone always wonder the original password for the original account. I try to put in the password, I have created for the new account (same address as the original account) and the device does not accept it and also does not count it against the County 10 to retries. Everyone on the forums said to try to do a Wipe Secuirty but when I try, the device is still asking the original password.

  So I cannot perform a wipe of security on my phone because it always asks the initial password, I can't go into BBID and change any info because he asks the initial password, I can't even open the App World because it requires the original password.

  I don't know why this is happening. Please help me solve this problem. Thank you.

  I found the solution!

  I connected my passport for Blackberry link and clicked on "back up and restore" in the left navigation tab. Then I clicked on Factory Reset. He asked me to unplug the unit and when I did the wipe of security has started to happen.

  in late July, I bought a BB Curve 9320. Until today, I wasn't able to create an e-mail account. A smartphone without access to e-mail. The problem is missing to create an internet e-mail account. I'm only able to set information for a business account, which I did not. In recent weeks I spent hours and hours reading manuals/blogs and watching youtube videos. I also asked my phone provider if they put in limits for internet e-mail accounts. Nothing of the sort.

  I guess that the problem may be caused by our bb playbook. It works well enough. The playbook is running to a live windows account for email, contacts, and dates. When I started the 9320, I first used the same bb id that we use on the playbook.

  Please help me, I'm totally frustrated. What can I do?

  Follow these steps to create a BlackBerry ID:

  Note: We recommend that you use an e-mail address that can be accessed via a desktop browser to keep record of the account notification emails.

  1. From a PC, go to www.blackberry.com/blackberryid and click on the link register for a BBID.
  2. Review the terms of BlackBerry ID, and then click I acceptto continue.
  3. Fill out the required fields on the registration page BlackBerry ID, and then click Save .
     
     Note: the screen name is a unique name used to provide a way to identify the presence of the BlackBerry user in various BlackBerry products and services without revealing any personal information. (Ex. When you write a review for a BlackBerry® App World application)

     Note: username is the login name BlackBerry ID accounts as well as the associated e-mail address accounts.

     Note: when you create a BlackBerry ID, the account password cannot match the issue of recovery or recovery response.

  Just transferred one of my domains hosting that I use for my other domain. Went to create an e-mail account for the 3 email addresses I had the BB under prior host. Removed the old accounts. Click Setup mail accounts, then other then entered the correct address and the correct password. Received message 'invalid address or password '. Not possible I installed these accounts on my PC and my IPad with no problems. It seems that BB won't accept any new domain name account that I transferred 10 days ago, can someone help me please?   TCC - I THANK YOU first to respond to my situation and the second to be ON - it appears that you are an expert on the RIM! That was the problem - integration. Apparently my Blackberry account 'forgotten' about my domain name and had to be reinstated. I discovered by obtaining technical support for my carrier, AT & T and when they could not understand why the e-mail accounts could not be created, they transferred me to RIM.   Text messages are managed by your carrier. I can only suggest to use a client of sms 3rd party like SMSCrunch. Maybe, that can give you the time, it was sent or received.

  You can also ask your carrier for the same information and whether they can send it to you (some of my friends who make heavy texting, have asked their carriers send delivery times with their bills.)

  It is best to call your operator and ask them to "extend the deadline before the voicemail picks up.

  It is normally set to 15 seconds. You can go up to 30 seconds.

  I live on the coast is and recently went to California. I left my time zone set to the Eastern time. When I came to CA, I noticed that my phone displays the time time instead of Pacific time. I went into Options and then time and time to network was peaceful, but it showed that on my main screen. It was the same if I used the BB or Verizon network.

  Only, I could get the main display time to be correct if I manually changed the time zone at the time of the Pacific. Is it normal for my phone?

  I want the phone automatically displays the time of the time zone, in that I am currently.

  Problem solved. Verizon had already created an account for me using the telephone number of my BB without so much as informing me. Unfortunately, the error message if displayed when you enter the code PIN indicated that the cause, which totally fooled me. When I finally called Verizon Support and gave them the PIN, the agent immediately informed that I already had an account, but with a user id under which I would normally not have chosen. But that's ok.
