TMS and TCS Cluster

We had two boxes of telepresence Content Server, as separate in TMS for a while now (TCS01 and TCS02)

Recently, we grouped matches of two.  A day or two after having done this, the TCS02 device appears in TMS with an error "incorrect authentication information.  TCS01 is fine.

Would we still followed the two devices separately in the TMS, or should we now be treated as a single device (via the pole DNS entry)?  Or is there a problem with TCS02 do we do?

Hi Wayne,

Try the steps below and let me know your comments.

Here we must activate and change the API password in CHT management settings

set a new password TCS (which is used for adding the TCS to the TMS
Server)
Connect to the web interface of TCS¹s go to

Management > Configuration > Site Settings > API

Ensure that the API is enabled. Choose a new password, and then save it.

The user and the password in the settings of the API is the same user name and password
who to be used when adding the TCS to the TMS

    Hello. I need some good practices on this matter.

    We have a soft copy of appliance server Telepresense TMS and TCS.

    Is it a good idea to install a MSDS on the TCS Server?

    Thus, TCS and TMS applications will be available on the same IP address

    WHAT?

    Do that don't even think to it, not a good idea at all. If I had to explain all the problems that this may cause to the applications I could write all night.

  • TMS with a cluster of conductor?

    Hi, would appreciate any guidance.

    I built a group of conductor that I added to TMS for the purpose of planning appeals.

    I'm afraid that TMS does not seem very "cluster aware". All 3 devices (2 drivers + driver managed MCU) appear in the tab MCU, which does ' t seems correct.

    How a failure of conductor is managed by TMS? It is based on the standard MCU failover?

    How managed MCU port count works in a cluster?

    Thank you!

    Clusters of TMS and conductor is not currently supported.

  • Table of clusters and the cluster is a bar counter, how can I change the color individually?

    Table of clusters and the cluster is a bar counter, how do I change the color of the bar individual meter for each element of the array?  I just realized that you cannot change the properties of an element of the array without changing everything.  For scale, I had to make digital for each graduation of the scale indicators so that each measure meter in the table in the cluster has individual scales.  I also had to do some calculations for each barmeter to display the correct proportions of 0 to 100% on the scale.  Now, I'm stumped on the color of the bar counter.  Basically, if the value exceeds a set value, the meter bar should turn red.  It must be in a table to be infinitely scalable.

    Thank you

    Matt

    And yet anothr approach...

    Right click on the bar of > Options to fill > maximum fill.

    The fill color of the same color as the background color, then make the background color transparent.

    Drop a box of color BEHIND the bar and the size correctly.

  • TMS and SQL 2008 R2

    Hi all

    We plan to spend our SQL 2005 a 2008R2 server. In the Installation of TMS and Quick Start Guide (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/tms/install_guide/Cisco_TMS_Install_Getting_Started_Guide_13-1.pdf , page 6), they say that all versions of SQL 2008 are supported, but we must be sure that this includes the SQL 2008R2. Are there restrictions or considerations?

    Thank you!

    I seem to TMS doesn't run well with SQL 2008 R2 no problem

  • Question TMS and conductor - conferences to improve safety by using conference

    Hi people,

    Currently, I implement some projects involving Cisco Telepresence conductor and I was wondering the benefits that conductor brings to the video network, it's really a great solution!

    Discover the benefits of the conductor, I created the following deployment:

    It works very well! The customer is very satisfied with the level of security when using this deployment. Their multi-point conferences is safer now.

    Well, when I created this topology I considered not how the environment would work when planning conferences, with TMS and conductor because this client has yet to TMS. Then, I was just shocked when I opened the TMS deployment guide e conductor and find the following statement:

    Note: The exposed conductor TelePresence conference type is not supported in Cisco TMS. Only models conference using the conference meeting type are supported.

    Page 13 - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/tms/config_guide/TelePresence_Conductor_with_Cisco_TMS_Deployment_Guide_XC1-2_TMS14-1.pdf

    I almost jumped the bridge... Now, I know that my great topology no longer works with TMS.

    Well, here are my questions:

    Why do we have this limit?

    That Cisco plans to fix this?

    The guide is related to the conductor XC1-2 and 14-1 TMS, something has changed in TMS 14.2.2 and XC2.1?

    I'd appreciate any help really, really!

    Thanks in advance.

    Agreed! The driver of the telepresence really is a great product.

    Why do we have this limitation?

    Because the feature was never implemented on the side TMS. It was decided that the other characteristics are more important and should be a priority. There is nothing on the type of conference 'Read' which is inherently incompatible with the TMS, but work needs to be done first.

    Examples:

    • The control of conference centre: you will probably see the entries in double Conference if you are using a 'read' conference
    • TMS does not differentiate between the presidents and guests during the creation of scheduled conferences 'Conference' on the conductor.

    None of them are very difficult to solve from a development point of view, but they are not trivial to apply or test either.

    Does Cisco have plans to fix that?

    Nothing specific is planned, don't. As always: if it is a problem to your customer, make a request to feature through your account manager or another Cisco point of contact.

    The guide is related to Conductor XC1-2 and TMS 14-1, has any thing been changed  in TMS 14.2.2 and XC2.1?

    Conductor XC 2.1 and TMS 14.2.2 is a combination not supported, but nothing has been changed to

    2.2 XC and 14.3 TMS: types of conference 'Read' are not yet supported.

  • Can this load balance and HA cluster with vsphere?

    Hello community!

    Really new on this type of subject, so forgive me if IAM iam do or say something wrong. I'm here to try to understand better this amazing tool so I apreciate your time and knowlodge!
    Im trying to create a failover and balancing cluster with Vsphere, the goal is try to install an MSSQL DB server where the customer can access more quickly and do not have downtime when a node is down.

    I read a lot but still I can't have a full understand abt, so if anyone tries to explain something, please be patient and explain with precision.

    All doing wrong if you really work at home as a LABORATORY, and I can do it, hurt trying to use it to get a job because I don't have and I really need one soon!
    Here is my diagram is possible?

    Diagrama Cluster HA-DRS.jpg

    Well ill to explain it, I have clients that will send a work for my DB load process, which will affect on MSSQL Server installed on the 12 TB logical drive created from the union of all methods virtual storage. Each virtual storage is just a virtual disk created on a virtual machine that is hosted on the physical server (node).

    So I have 4 physical server which have 1 VM each with 3 TB of virtual disk, the goal is the customer can send the process of workload on 4 nodes to have a quicker response, and if a single node fails for any reason, the other node can operate withow problem.

    physical server Medley: don't know yet if I have to use one or install VMWARE directly.

    Sagna VM: Windows Server 2008 (don't know if necessary or if I can just install SQL Server directly)

    MSSQL Server VM: 2008 Enterprise (still don't know if I have to use this one)

    Well I can't think right now on the other details, but if you tell me ill be happy to write it.

    Sorry if my writing or semantics is false but English is not my first language.

    Really thanks to get to this point and share your knowlodge!

    Best regards, josh of Argentina!

    Josh, please correct me if I'm wrong, you have 4 knots of MS - SQL, and you need to read/write at the same time in a shared database of 12 to.

    If this is the case check the following documents:

    The above covers the part of the diagram which includes 4 nodes SQL and the shared database, the other part of the client to the SQL nodes that segments the loads on the nodes, I think you should see Microsoft options.

  • VM list name and the cluster that it flows in a CSV file

    Hello

    I want to have a created CSV file that will conaitn 2 fields: vm_name, vm_custer

    Which means, I want to list the name of the virtual machine and the cluster is running in a CSV file.

    Here is the code I wrote:

    OPTS::Validate();
    Util::connect;
    "open (my $FH, ' > ', 'final.csv') or die" cannot opne final.csv: $! » ;
    print $FH 'VM_Cluster, VM_Name, \n ";
    my $dc = Opts::get_option ("data center");
    My $dc_view = Vim::find_entity_view (view_type = > 'Data center',)
    filter = > {name = > $dc});
    My $clu_views = Vim::find_entity_views (view_type = > "ComputeResource")
    begin_entity = > $dc_view);
    my $cluster foreach (@$clu_views)
    {
    My $clu_name = $cluster-> name;
    my $hosts = $cluster-> host;
    foreach (@$hosts)
    {
    My $host_hash_ref = Vim::get_view (mo_ref = > $_);
    My $vm_view = $host_hash_ref-> virtual machine;
    foreach (@$vm_view)
    {
    My $vm_hash_ref = Vim::get_view (mo_ref = > $_);
    My $vm_name = $vm_hash_ref-> name;
    $FH print $clu_name. ", ".  $vm_name. », «. "\n" unless $clu_name = ~ m/0bld0 /; "
    }
    }
    }
    Close ($FH);
    Util::disconnect;

    Now, I get the CSV file created as I wanted to, but the question is, there are 3500 + VMs in vCenter and this script side took 50 minutes to complete. It is therefore a huge performance impact. Also, I don't like the concept of 3 layers netsted foreach loops.

    Therefore, there is an effective way to get this information?

    Thank you.

    Your welcome.  It could be made faster, but the complexity of the additional code is probably not worth if the runtime you have now is enough.  No doubt, you can add additional data to your report without too slow.

    You can also find the script works faster or slower depending on what is happening in your virtual center system.

    Thanks for the update on the success!

  • Cluster VI3 and vSphere Cluster (migrate virtual machines)

    I have a VI3 and vSphere cluster.  Could I just drag-and - drop my virtual machines to the new Cluster or do I have to upgrade the virtual machines ' hardware of the v4 to v7?

    Thanks in advance

    1. you don't have to upgrade the virtual machine hardware, it is optional.

    2. you do not have to create new cluster, simply upgrade existing by-host. Virtual machines with hardware v4 can be VMotion'ed between 3.5 and 4.0 hosts

  • TMS and improved security server TCS

    Hey there everyone!

    On the Tandberg Web site, there is a page that contains updates for the OS that have been tested for use with the administration server and content server security.  However, the last update was 9/2010.  Is there a comparable download page here on the Cisco site, with versions I hope more up-to-date?  I have looked, but could not find.

    Thank you!

    I asked one of the ancient engineers TANDBERG, who is now with Cisco, just on this subject, and he indicated that he had used the Windows Update normak, even for the TCS, feature and if there is a problem, he would just roll back this particular update.

    I did exactly that with our TMS server and have not had a problem yet.

    The second generation servers TCS are not devices and doesn't look anything like first generation servers, so I'll start doing the same thing with the TCS as soon as the remaining 2 were replaced by more recent, industrial research material.

    Cisco had a contract to upgrade in place for some time, maybe even the case, that they are eager to get rid of the old boxes of TANDBERG TCS - well, it's the impression that I myself still.

  • Endpoints of TPS and TCS TX

    Hello

    I've seen a few threads where TCS and registered CUCM endpoints are discussed, but could not find a definitive answer to this question:

    Pouvez meetings Immersive telepresence (TX9000s) Records of TCS 6.x (registered in VCS) hosted on a GST?

    What same scenario but meetings scheduled through TMS?

    Thanks in advance

    JO

    To add to what said Wayne - this means that will allow you to save any segment is active at any time (only), speaker rather than all three screens at the same time.  Of course, you get all the audio data.

    Did the same thing earlier with TCS + Server TP + CTS-3000 - it worked fine.

    One thing I did was to add the CHT manually as an endpoint on the server TP and set available to speaker spent, rather than active presence, so the film appear in the record.

  • TMS and AVAYA scopia endpoint interoperability

    Hello

    I have the management console of the TMS version 13.2. It is not the latest version, but I wonder if AVAYA SCOPIA XT-4300 products are compatible for integration in the TMS. It's like the product POLYCOM HDX?

    Y at - it a document on which products are supported?

    Thank you very much!

    For TMS 13.2, you can take a look at the Documentation of integrated systems, specifically Product Support and documents using the feature to see what Cisco and 3 third-party products are supported.

    Note, for the most recent releases TMS, you will need to look at the admin guides as well as Telepresence interoperability of data because there are no available detailed compatibility document, similar to those mentioned above, for the version beyond TMS 13.2.

  • TMS and virtual VCS

    Hello

    I know that the VCS and TMS can be virtualized.

    On the documentation, I found that the VCS can be deployed on the same host as the other virtual machines (cohabitation) following some guidelines for sizing (resourses must be allocated 1:1, it means that there is no excess applications).

    I also read that MSDS can also be virtualized, following the same guidelines of resources:

    "Cisco TMS can be installed in a virtualized server environment as long as the virtual machine by a Cisco TMS is allocated sufficient resources dedicated to meet the requirements of server and hardware for installation. The resources allocated to the Cisco TMS server instance must be dedicated and not shared with other instances of server. ""

    What I do not know if the TMS accepst co-residensy with other applications. Which makes me doubt is:

    "Cisco TMS is resource intensive with specific server requirements, which increase with the level of activity and the size of the managed network video. With the help of a server that hosts other applications or Web sites for accommodation Cisco TMS is therefore not supported. "

    I don't know if this means that non-corresidensy is supported or that no other application in addition to TMS must be deployed on the same OS.

    What I really want to accomplish with it is to virtualize the TMS, the VCS Highway and control of the VCS on the same server of UCS. Would it be supported by TAC?

    Kind regards

    Hi, this means that the TMS server should be dedicated to the application of TMS. No other hosted applications should be present on the same OS.

    Hope that helps.

  • Removing VCS of TMS and TMSPE migration problem

    We prepare to start using TMSPE, however it must first disable replication on all VCS via MSD MSD Agent.  There is a VCS that have failed has been deleted afterwards, but we cannot delete TMS because TMS Agent replication is enabled.  We cannot have the Agent MSDS tab to disable the replication because the VCS is offline (i.e. it was removed) - it just goes to the 'Connection' tab whenever I try.

    So, how can we migrate to TMSPE if TMS don't delete us the VCS in offline mode or at least turn Replication Agent MSDS for it?

    Hey Nick

    Try to run this SQL query:

    USE TMSNG

    UPDATE field_SystemField SET BolValue = 0 WHERE field_Field_Id = 1072

    UPDATE Cluster SET EnforceTMSAgentDataReplication = 0

    This should clear the replication on all VCs added to the TMS (even the zombie ones like the one you have), once it is executed, you can try to purge the VCS.
