TMS-> Scheduler conductor calls

Hello

I m configuration of a conductor (x3.0.3) with a microcontroller for planning appeals in tms 14.6. Previosly, I set up requires ad hoc and appointment and works very well.

At tms, I added the conductor, but when I added the alias configuration, an error "unable to connect the driver to telepresence to check the configuration of the alias. I think that the configuration is correct, name, alias boss and priority it s even the configuration of the alias the conductor.

I read another post but I Don t know if it s mandatory that the bridge, bridge pool and services preferences are dedicated for Scheduler calls. I have only 1 mcu, then I have can´t set several bridge...

Can you help me add aliases on MSDS?

Kind regards!

The match of alias in TMS must be in the format of the actual address, not a regular expression.  The only exception is if you plan to use a variable in your speech that represent the numbers that are filled by a digital ID in the settings of conductor in MSDS.  See tasks 3 and 7 of the guide I linked in the my first answer on MSDS alias configuration ID and numeric base.

Example of my config TMS and conductor.  Note the {\d{3} in the driver alias correspond to the digital ID 3-digit base where TMS will insert it into the alias instead of the %, which will allow any person handing Chief conductor to match the alias TMS generated since it is adding 3 numbers because of the digital ID.

  • Alias of conductor - (871005\d{3})(@domain\.com)?
  • TMS alias - [email protected]/ * /.
  • MSD digital ID base - 100

Looking at the alias you are trying to configure, you want to have some numbers inserted into the address represented by \d.  According to what your digital ID base, I would do the following.

  • Conductor alias - 51\d{#}(@domain\.com)?

    • # number must represent the number of digits of your digital card, if you are only using a single digit, and then use only \d and remove the {#}.
  • TMS alias - [email protected]/ * /.

(@domain\ .com)? helps the driver to match the alias with and without the portion of the field incoming calls.

  • Question TMS and conductor - conferences to improve safety by using conference

    Hi people,

Currently, I implement some projects involving Cisco Telepresence conductor and I was wondering the benefits that conductor brings to the video network, it's really a great solution!

Discover the benefits of the conductor, I created the following deployment:

It works very well! The customer is very satisfied with the level of security when using this deployment. Their multi-point conferences is safer now.

Well, when I created this topology I considered not how the environment would work when planning conferences, with TMS and conductor because this client has yet to TMS. Then, I was just shocked when I opened the TMS deployment guide e conductor and find the following statement:

Note: The exposed conductor TelePresence conference type is not supported in Cisco TMS. Only models conference using the conference meeting type are supported.

    Page 13 - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/tms/config_guide/TelePresence_Conductor_with_Cisco_TMS_Deployment_Guide_XC1-2_TMS14-1.pdf

I almost jumped the bridge... Now, I know that my great topology no longer works with TMS.

    Well, here are my questions:

Why do we have this limit?

That Cisco plans to fix this?

The guide is related to the conductor XC1-2 and 14-1 TMS, something has changed in TMS 14.2.2 and XC2.1?

I'd appreciate any help really, really!

    Thanks in advance.

Agreed! The driver of the telepresence really is a great product.

Why do we have this limitation?

Because the feature was never implemented on the side TMS. It was decided that the other characteristics are more important and should be a priority. There is nothing on the type of conference 'Read' which is inherently incompatible with the TMS, but work needs to be done first.

    Examples:

    • The control of conference centre: you will probably see the entries in double Conference if you are using a 'read' conference
    • TMS does not differentiate between the presidents and guests during the creation of scheduled conferences 'Conference' on the conductor.

None of them are very difficult to solve from a development point of view, but they are not trivial to apply or test either.

Does Cisco have plans to fix that?

Nothing specific is planned, don't. As always: if it is a problem to your customer, make a request to feature through your account manager or another Cisco point of contact.

The guide is related to Conductor XC1-2 and TMS 14-1, has any thing been changed  in TMS 14.2.2 and XC2.1?

Conductor XC 2.1 and TMS 14.2.2 is a combination not supported, but nothing has been changed to

2.2 XC and 14.3 TMS: types of conference 'Read' are not yet supported.

  • Leap year TMS Scheduler

We have MSD and MSD Smart Scheduler.  When users of planning meetings in the smart Scheduler for Monday 2/29, they are listed as Tuesday 3/1, I guess because of the leap year.  However, it shows the correct date when you click the meeting and in the TMS itself.  I checked to make sure that the time zone settings are correct.  Is that going to the issue of Monday?

Turns out just a cosmetic defect with Smart Scheduler, see CSCuy19844.

  • Time format hurt TMS Scheduler

Hi this case has been resolved

It's in the registry server TMS under HKEY_USER\. Default\Control Panel\International

These two fields missing AM and PM when re-filled the AM PM problem disappeared.

This area has changed in hh: mm which has initiated the German time to show in 24-hour format.

Then, the problem has been resolved.

  • TMS scheduling for a limited time.

Hello all, I already know it there are no solution, but is not to ask

My client has a solution with integration of TMS with excenge, he asks me if it is possible to limit the maximum time for planning a meeting.

    Thanks in advance.

    Greetings

    Hello

You can check this on the side of the Exchange. If you want the maximum duration is for example three-hour meeting, you can set the value of maximum (minutes) on the Exchange resource to 180.

  • TMS Smart Scheduler - what can you schedule and dial a number?

    Hi Forum,

I think TMS 13.2.1 at 14.3 TMS with TMSPE 1.1 reclassification.  However, I saw that the 'old' web scheduler has been replaced by the new smart sceduler.

You can plan the new smart Scheduler? It seems that you can only program calls to numbers in directories?  You can schedule dial calls to:

    Directory movi/Jabber?

    External SIP/h.323

    External ISDN?

What can't the new smart Scheduler compared to the 'old web Scheduler '?

    Thank you

    Robert

    Robert H.

Yes, at this time, you can add managed by TMS systems (those that are added to the system > Navigator) when planning through Smart Scheduler.

Cisco has already opened a feature request for the opportunity to add directories or call the participants in the smart Scheduler interface, but I cannot confirm if Cisco really wants to develop or when it will be available. It's the already opened by Adam feature request:

    https://Tools.Cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCug76084

A solution would be to add your external endpoint as a 'room' to TMS under system > Navigator, so that they will appear on Smart Scheduler, however, systems added as piece takes a license system just like a common system managed by TMS. So, before you follow this workaround solution, make sure that you have licenses enough for that.

Can my personal thing, if you really need schedule the call out participating, so I suggest you use common reservation interface, at least up to the Cisco enhance Smart Scheduler.

In addition, to raise this feature request you, your local Cisco representative so that they can help you to climb this feature in Cisco request to try and get priority on this point, it is useful. More customers are asking for the same thing, more Cisco considers that the feature request.

  • TMS can generate voice alerts when a scheduled conference ends?

The Cisco / Codian MCU will provide prompts to the end of the Conference at specific times before the conference end time.

Unfortunately TMS appears not to propose on the warnings of the screen at the end of the Conference and to schedule the call MCU intentionally to make sure that the MCU cannot generate the voice warnings (conference on the MCU is longer than the time TMS on demand - TMS tears down the Conference at the correct end time).

Is it possible to configure TMS to generate both the screen and sound alerts - or to generate "real" length, allowing conferences Codian warning messages to be heard?

    Thank you

No, not for the moment. This should be a feature request.

  • TMS with a cluster of conductor?

    Hi, would appreciate any guidance.

I built a group of conductor that I added to TMS for the purpose of planning appeals.

I'm afraid that TMS does not seem very "cluster aware". All 3 devices (2 drivers + driver managed MCU) appear in the tab MCU, which does ' t seems correct.

How a failure of conductor is managed by TMS? It is based on the standard MCU failover?

How managed MCU port count works in a cluster?

    Thank you!

Clusters of TMS and conductor is not currently supported.

  • A MultiSITE call may be promoted to a MultiWAY call?

I have a customer who currently has a number of endpoints with multi-site licenses, mainly 6000MXP units.  The client is developed to the point where 6-pin calls are no longer adequate, and they'll have to buy an MCU.

    My question is:

Can the customer still enjoy the microcontrollers built in codecs 6000MXP and use a MultiSITE call until the participants are too many and then degenerate into a MultiWAY call?

Will there be a way to migrate the customer to a MCU usage, perhaps by the personal use of alias of bridge?

    Hi Anthony!

Can the client still take advantage of the built-in MCUs in the 6000MXP codecs, and use a MultiSITE call until such time as the participants are too many, and then escalate to a MultiWAY call?

No, it is not possible to climb a call running Multisite for a call Multiway or MCU (MXP or C series).

On the endpoints that will be able to launch the Multiway call is an exclusive setting, therefore,

Select Multisite, Multiway (or completely disable a Multipoint).

In addition Multiway must be supported by the endpoint, newest Cisco/Tandberg endpoints points support

initiate a call Multiway and many (incl. 3rd party) support to be reunited to form a Multiway call.

It is also dependent on the version of the software.

In short, with Multiway may as end points that do not support being redirected

for the MCU (for example the outer parts where you don't have conrtol from software versions,...)

do not be reunited to form the Conference.

Is there a better way to migrate the client to the use of an MCU, perhaps through the use of personal bridge aliases?

Is there a better way to migrate the client to the use of an MCU, perhaps through the use of personal bridge aliases?

To swap the MXP multisite with a microcontroller of HD Cisco (old Codian) is a great idea in any case, it will not focus only

the capacity of the largest conferences but also improves quality. Each participant will receive its own optimized

video stream instead of the single video stream where the worst participant defines what you will get.

As you said, after meeting personal room numbers (with findme or certain rules of vcs, you can also do named uris,

as [email protected] / * /), generic virtual meeting rooms or to book through TMS/Scheduler

    may be the solution.

  • Remove the video of TCS in the layout when flow on demand through TMS ' record'

    System information:

    TMS v13.2.2

TCS v5.2 (configured as a terminal)

    4510 Codian MCU v4.4

The TCS and the MCU are registered at TMS.  I work on the management of all our calls more centrally by TMS and struggled to integrate the CHT in conferences.  I don't want the black screen of the "registration...". "appears as a participant at the disposal of the participants.  I know these can be configured manually to rule out it, but I want to automate it as much as possible.

On the MCU, aliases are configured to not send the video to the MCU by default; It silently records in the background.  All conferences configured directly on the MCU without the "help" of TMS call out to all the endpoints - including the alias TCS - and only the video settings are visible.  The content is saved properly.

When conferences are planned through TMS, however, the TCS alias is composed in just like before, but it also sends a video feed to the MCU - a black screen with "Recording" on this subject.  I tried to call from the system directory and what makes an "external" call, but both give me the same result.  I guess that's because the MCU and TMS do not share the same phone book.  What is the reason?  When this happens, the MCU is not the ability to cut the flow of the CS during the video content.

Currently, my plan is to have every endpoint called via TMS scheduling and then have my technicians dial to the CS manually after that trial is over.  Automation is my aim, however

    Any help would be great.

    Hello Luke.

You can very easily cut the video and/or audio from the TCS in your conference.  When you create the reservation in MSD and have your MCU added, go into 'Connection settings' and it should be two boxes on the right-hand side where you can trim the video/audio.

Try it and let us know.

  • Problems with allocation of bandwidth TMS on server TP

I have questions, get MSDS to schedule a call 6 Mbps to a telepresence server.

When I create a reservation on the server TP using TMS, I can choose any bandwidth (2560 Kbps, 4096 Kbps, 6144 Kbps etc.).  Regardless of bandwidth, I put the Conference, which is the rate of calls that TP server connects with, EXCEPT 6144 Kbps.  Whenever I put it to 6144 Kbps, the rate of appeal dates back to 1920 Kbps.

If I dial a number from the server TP itself, everything connects to 6 Mbps OK (even with dial back in).

Looking at the history of calls on the CV, the server TP requests only 1920 Kbps when off numbering of a TMS to the meeting request is set to 6144 Kbps.

All bandwidth restrictions have been removed from the VCS, the end points of support 6 Mbps (as evidenced by the Ad - Hoc numbering work OK in each direction).  It seems that the TMS set the bandwidth of conference of 1920 Kbps (or, failing to set a bandwidth of conference at all) despite set to 6144 Kbps.

    VCS: 7.2

    TP server: 3.0 (2.24)

    TMS: 13.2

    Any help appreciated

  • Cannot add the conductor on the model of CMR TMSPE

We strive to set up video-conference planning. Conductor and vTS are already integrated. Conductor is also integrated through the trunk SIP CUCM, for both ad hoc and permanent meeting. We were able to add the conductor on TMS as a device and TMSPE CMR model. But when we turn on HTTPS and signed a driver's certificate, unable to connect the driver TMSPE. We tried to create, sign and load the certificate for TMS, but still not able to connect. I hope you can help us. TMS is running on license eval. Conductor is essential and STM have 5 licenses of the screen. I've seen some answers on a few forums about Java version used with TMSPE.

    15.2.1 TMS

    TMSPE 1.7

    Update Java 8 102

    Conductor XC 4.2

    4.3.1.14 vTS

Have you enabled 4096-bit encryption on the server where it is installed TMSPE by doing the required Java software changes indicated in the Notes of version 1.7 TMSPE? If you do not, TMSPE will not be able to communicate to the driver.

You mention that you are trying to set up a schedule with TMS and conductor, generated TMSPE CMRS are not able to be used for planning. To set up planning, you need to configure Conference models/alias etc. on driver as well as in TMS, refer to the 'Conference on-demand management' section of the CMR premises Deployment Guide Release 7.0 - primary (for Unified CM) on pg 41.
