• Redundancy of the TMS with TMSXE

  Hi team,

  Since there is no redundancy of each device as VCS, MCU. I want to ask about a redundancy of MSDS on a virtual server-based computer.

  How can we create a redundancy of MSDS on server VM.

  Currently, my client bought only Cisco's TMS software and is installed on the server of the virtual computer. They would create a redundancy of TMS in case of TMS first down.

  Also, tell me if the first TMS license can be put on the 2nd TMS?

  And how wud it work with TMSXE?

  We have released a brand new redundancy TMS 13.2 deployment guide a few days ago. The old man is very old and obsolete; Please pretend that there is not. The document should answer questions of karim.

• TMS server and control the VCS

  We have a customer's request if they can change the usename (admin) of control VCS in the TMS server. They don't want to purge the VCS of TMS server control, because they still need all the TMS Server historical reports. Basiaclly, they won't use the username: admin more to managing TMS server. They can create another account in the control of VCS with admnin rights, but how they change in the SMT server without purge from the TMS server.

  In the server of TMS, the VCS control connections tab, there is a place to change the password. but no place the username change.

  Using a different name that 'admin' to manage the VCS was introduced in TMS 14.1 (CSCuc88048). Not even bleed and add will help them, I'm afraid!

• TMSXE / SQLExpress on same server TMS Ok?

  I want to install the TMSXE and the local SQL Server to standard TMS software on the same server. This isn't a big deployment so I thing its ok. Concerns or experience if it is fine or will make problems?

• TMSAgentService could not be started after installation done

  Just finished installation of TMS on a Windows 2003 VM, I try to activate the TMS of Cisco Agent by administrative tools > Configuration > settings General, but after that, enable the Agent Diagnostics of the TMS showed "Unable to connect to a remote server", so I checked the TMSAgentService in Windows services, I found it is not started and could not be started in even I manually start the service.

  I'm under Cisco TMS 14.3.1.  You can successfully download the software updates

  Take a look at this doc from Cisco, https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-31882, section 3.  I don't know why TMS does not see the most recent version of the software released, but the TMS will not automatically download for you as in the past, you will need to do this yourself now with how they changed the procedure of payment for the new TC software.

• Original Microsoft 3000 wireless Keboard & the mouse software.

  I have a keyboard 3000 and 5000 mouse that I bought as a set, a few years ago.

  I lost the software that came with them. The Intellitype Pro 8.2 is not the same software, and it does not control the mouse. Anyone who is familiar with the software that I mentioned? Where is it, or what is the name for the software, if this isn't Intellitype?

  I have followed the instructions but still have the same issue where the MSDS cannot automatically download new software.

  My TMS version is 14.2.2

  When the automatic software update is set to Yes, TMS tries to download the software and then I got an error message (see below)

  The server is connected to the Internet, even when you try to use a proxy TMS still can not download a new software.

  Starting with TC6.1 and later, TMS will download is no longer automatically TC software, this is due to a change in the verification procedure and download of these versions of the software.  When the new TC software is released, you will need to log in to Cisco.com and download the software yourself and then transfer it to your TMS servers.

• Why the MCU is automatically added to the conferences in TMS?

  Info:

  Endpoints: Tandberg 6000 MXP & 95 MXP

  TMS: 13.2.2

  Codian MCU 4510: Software version 4.4

  Tandberg GK: N6.3

  Tandberg BC: Q6.3

  When I create a conference at TMS and want an end point to compose our system to an MCU on another site (confined), the our local MCU is automatically added to the Conference, for some reason any.  For example, if I create a conference with room 123 and number 'Dial Out' external 2222222, TMS adds MCU of our system and forces to compose both room 123 and 2222222, which is totally useless.  This should be simply, what is the endpoint is, a direct line to 2222222.  Why the MCU is being added?  This will use licenses MCU in haste when it is not necessary at all.

  I went through TMS > administration tools > Configuration > General settings, network settings and conference settings and cannot understand why the MCU is added.  If we dial manually, no problem.  My goal is to automate the entire composition, however.

  Pointers?  I put some of the parameters of the TMS > Admin Tools > Configuration > Conference settings below.

• The upgrade of MXP via TMS

  Having a problem to upgrade MXP BOF software Version F8.2 to F9.02 through TMS 12.6.2 (we have 200 + upgrade)

  Reports of TMS 100% successful even, but the systems are not upgraded.

  I tried the re-boot after upgrade, no different

  Update the endpoint works Web Interface ok.

  I had this problem myself.

  In my case, it was due to a corrupt firmware image.  Manager software TMS showed that firmware was on the server; the problem is that the file was corrupt and much smaller that it should have been.  Upgrades using this inevitably failed file - even if reported as successful MSD!

  Take a look on your server in your software repository location (most often

  C:\Program Files\TANDBERG\TMS\wwwTMS\Public\data\SOFTWARE) and see if the file looks suspiciously small (or something else).  You can manually copy the file to that location.

• Third party software to be used as an endpoint

  Hello all, can anyone recommend a software (a free software is recommended) it can be used to record with VCS and express VCS. I need this software for test purposes. I also prefer if I can use this software as a standalone endpoint (without registration) to simulate incoming calls from the internet. Thank you.

  Video of Cisco's Jabber is free Internet version, which requires no TMS - just an internet connection.  You think "Cisco Jabber for Telepresence" which is in fact the 'corporate' of the same software version.

  Video of Jabber don't register with VCS, but it will simulate your calls over the internet, although your test environment do not have a connection to the public internet to make it work.

  The software can be downloaded for free from our FTP server, but this is only a test, you need a releasekey to activate it. You can contact cisco sales in order to make the necessary arrangements. It doesn't have a reference number as the software isn't RMAed as the machine if it breaks.

  The server, you must arrange for your self. This can be a server of your choice, a regular windows 2003 or 2008 Server (DELL/HP/CISCO, VMWARE, etc.). So basically you just install the software on this server, and you have a fully functional server of TMS. So I don't have a part number for this either. It is not something you can replace if it breaks, the server is the responsibility of the customer and if you need support on the software side approach you a case with TAC.

• Error #1684957 connection error found in the TMSPE TMS

  In our system of VC network, there are several VCS with different software version, for example,

  VCS - A with s.w 7.1 formed a TMSPE with TMS s.w 13.2

  VCS - B with s.w 5.2 run the TMS with TMS agent mode.

  The problem is, for all the endpoints registered with VCS - B, there is an error (report

  Connection of the #1684957 TMS error error). Amounts confrimed have not change the endpoint configuration, and this error affects a type different from VC endpoint, included MXP, series C and series EX.

  In the TMSPE release notes, we are unable to find relatively to this error notice, what anyone face the same problem as well?

  What is the ticket that you see on the systems? I do not understand what TMSPE has to do with this error mostly on MXP systems as you also experience this problem. Usually, when this error is raised there is a connection problem between the endpoint and the TMS, response point No. HTTP or answer No. SNMP or something like that. The system has the 'Idle' connection status when you see this post set on the system?

  As Jens says that you cannot run TMSPE with 5.2 (you can also not run simultaneously TMSPE and TMSAgent on the TMS even legacy).

  Please check the status of the connection of the endpoints affected, it could not have something to do with the configuration but rather something on the network that prevents the TMS to achieve systems.

  Please let me know if I am wrong here, but it seems to me that there is a connection problem and nothing to do with TMSPE. I might have misunderstood you so if I have, please provide more details, perhaps a screenshot?

• TMS CCC and JAVA - Clarification

  I looked through the forums enough to know that MSD is VERY picky about the version of Java installed on the local computer used to access the control of conference center.

  Is there a definitive guide to which versions of Java work with which versions of TMS or how many installations of Java could affect this delicate balance? We got hell keeping Java Update while ensuring that we are able to access MSDS. In addition, in your personal experiences, which browsers you find work best with TMs?

  We run TMS 13.2.1 and usually access the CCC of machines Windows 7 x 64. Any clarification/help would be much appreciated.

  The problem has been fixed on the side TMS in article 13.2.2. This is because the BUG # CSCub01168.

  [Java 7 introduced a defect (bug 6997116 ID in Java) which caused talks to conference control center is not to load.]

  This has been fixed in Java 7 7 update, but there are still problems loading of the images that have now been resolved with a change of function of rendering Java in Cisco TMS
