To uninstall Oracle 11 g R2 Linux 6.6

Dear forum helping!

I have oracle 11g r2 installed on Linux 6.6 on VMworkstation 11.0.0 build-2305329

initially do you less space when installing database, he gave me the low error disk volumes

It will not be able to install the database configuration wizard

Cancel or ignore

I should have an abortion, but I chose to ignore that was my mistake

Later I have a free memory

Now I want to uninstall oracle 11 g linux 2

found the link

http://dbakevin.blogspot.in/2012/04/deinstall-Oracle-11g-on-Linux.html

Can anyone tell

using the. / deintsall

I will be a loser

(1) groups and users.

(2) clean the oracle directory

(3) you will need to reconfigure

/Home/Oracle/.bash_profile

/ etc/oratab

/etc/sysctl.conf

As I have not installed the wizard of the Oracle Configuration

(which was my mistake)

is the the right option to run. / Uninstall

When it fails to install Oracle it can leave ghost process behind that will avoid a re-installation. You have not specified a what you have exactly, but usually, it will be sufficient if you remove Oracle software as root, restart the system and try again:

For example:

# rm - rf/U01/U02 /u03

# f/etc/oratab rm

# rm f /var/opt/oracle/oraInst.loc

# rm f/usr/local/bin/dbstart/usr/local/bin/dbshut

# shutdown - r now

There may be several files, which I do not remember all of the memory and it depends on what you have installed, for example, ASM, but I think that should do the trick for you to reinstall the software.

    I currently manage multiple 11 GR 2 RAC clusters, all hosted on IBM AIX 6.1 pSeries servers. I need to downgrade a RAC cluster so that the material can be reused for a different use.

    I read "RAC Installation Guide for Linux and Unix", specifically Chapter 8 in the documentation. This document mentions using the deinstall tool provided with the software, but I've never used this before utility.

  • Impossible to uninstall Oracle 10 g products

    I'm 5-Solaris 10, SPARC 64 and just installed Oracle 10 g successfully, but may want to uninstall.

    I'm trying to uninstall oracle products, that I just installed. But whenever I run the Oracle Universal Installer to run the uninstall, I see "There is no installed products" on the Welcome screen.

    Any idea?

    Here's what I do:
    Start Oracle Universal Installer as follows:

    $ $ORACLE_HOME/Yes/bin/runInstaller

    In the Welcome window, click on uninstall products

    Most of us, maybe almost all of us, uninstalls the real operating systems Oracle products (Solaris, Linux, etc.) by going to the directory where it was installed by typing:

    rm -rf *

    It is not all DLLs or records or other such nonsense.

    But do not issue the above command unless you understand what it is and what it does. I can't be held legally responsible for all the abuses of the orders.

    Hello! I create a new cluster of CARS on IBM Power 7 server running AIX 6.1. I installed grid Infrastructure 11.2.0.3 as a 'practice' race, but I would like to make a few changes. I remember reading about a year on the Oracle uninstall utility 11g. Although it is installed as part of the software, it was recommended at that time to download the OTN deinstall utility.

    That it is always recommended, or can I just run the deinstall utility in my house grid Infrastructure?

  • Uninstalling Oracle 11 g RAC from a Windows Server 2008 Server

    Try to uninstall Oracle 11 g RAC from a Windows Server 2008.

    Following the instructions: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e25666/rem_orcl.htm

    I was able to run the batch: C:\app\oracle\product > 11.2.0\dbhome_1\deinstall\deinstall.bat

    Last messages spoke uninstall successfully.

    However, I had problems trying to delete the folder directory. According
    Oracle forums, on Windows there are known problems this generic
    "svchost.exe" process blocks some Oracle DLLs at startup time. To solve
    the question that I followed the instructions:

    (1) rename %ORACLE_HOME%\bin to something else 2) reboot the machine 3) now remove the complete file

    Then I went to the registry and delete the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Oracle

    Restart the machine.

    Problem is that Oracle Services still exists on Windows Services (services.msc). So I see it again:

    -Oracle Service object
    -OracleASMService + ASM1
    -OracleJobSchedulerINTER1
    -OracleOHService
    -OracleOraCrs11g_home1TNSListener
    -OracleOraCrs11g_home1TNSListenerLISTENER_SCAN1
    -OracleServiceINTER1
    These services link to executable files are deleted as:

    C:\app\11.2.0\grid\BIN\TNSLSNR

    because directory folder has been deleted.

    What should I do to remove these Windows services?

    Hello

    You can try the following command to remove services in windows server 2008

    Since the prompt command (run as administrator)

    Prompt > sc delete "service name".

    In this case, your command would look like

    Prompt > sc delete "Oracle Service object.

  • How to uninstall Oracle Database 11 g release 2?

    Hello
    I want to uninstall Oracle Database 11 g release 2.

    Im running the deinstall.bat that is located on:
    C:\app\MachineName\product\11.2.0\dbhome_2\deinstall

    then in the command window, I get this message:
    Specify all headphones single instance that must be configured out [LISTENING]:

    What should I enter here?
    What is an auditor?

    Thank you...

    Generally, the default value (BACKSPACE) is correct.

    The listener is the network feature which helps you connect. He listens to new connection attempts.

    I like to think it's a traffic COP that allows a connection, but has nothing to do with later.

    The listener is a named process that is running on the Oracle server, waiting for requests from the client to connect to the Instance.

    The listener does not normally handle connections once the original request was made. The listen listen on a default port is 1521.

    Recentlly I installed Oracle 10 g on Linux Enterprise 5.4, the finished good, instalation I loged in isqlplusselect a few example of table, but then when I reboot to start computer oracle can't, I changed/var/opt/oracle/oratab the opsion 'Y' in oracle sid: oracle home.
    When I manually start isqlplus and try to connect, I get this error "ERROR ORA 12541: TNS: no listner, I tried to start id form/oracle/bin, but I gess, it's not working."
    Can someone help me with this, I mean how can I start to oracle, and what I need to chang for automatic start
    Thank you

    OK, here's what you need to do to 10.2.0.1 (I guess that's what you mean by 10 gr 2):

    1. open the dbstart script located in /home/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/bin

    2. search for all occurrences of the string "/ ade/vikrkuma_new/oracle" and replace it with "$ORACLE_HOME". This is a known bug fix.

    3. edit/etc/oratab and set option to Y for the database that you want to start automatically.

    4. create a file /etc/init.d/dbora as root with the following content (defining the correct values for ORA_HOME and ORA_OWNER):

    #!/bin/sh
    # chkconfig: 345 99 10
    # description: Oracle auto start-stop script.
    #
    # Set ORA_HOME to be equivalent to the $ORACLE_HOME
    # from which you wish to execute dbstart and dbshut;
    #
    # Set ORA_OWNER to the user id of the owner of the
    # Oracle database in ORA_HOME.

    ORA_HOME=+path_to_your_oracle_installation+
    ORA_OWNER=+your_database_sid+

    if [ ! -f $ORA_HOME/bin/dbstart ]
    then
    echo "Oracle startup: cannot start"
    exit
    fi

    case "$1" in
    'start')
    # Start the Oracle databases:
    # The following command assumes that the oracle login
    # will not prompt the user for any values
    su - $ORA_OWNER -c $ORA_HOME/bin/dbstart
    ;;
    'stop')
    # Stop the Oracle databases:
    # The following command assumes that the oracle login
    # will not prompt the user for any values
    su - $ORA_OWNER -c $ORA_HOME/bin/dbshut
    ;;
    esac

    5 set permissions for the new file (replace "dba" with defined during the installation of Oracle dba OS group):

    # chgrp s/n /etc/init.d/dbora
    # chmod 750 /etc/init.d/dbora

    6. run:

    # chkconfig--level 345 released on

    Restart and test if the DB starts correctly.

    I hope this helps.
