Too big screen after XP to Windows 7

I've recently updated my XP Professional 2003 system to Windows 7.

I have an acer T230H screen which was a normal size before I updated the system.

Now, everything on the screen is so big and does not and I can't use it properly.

It's really frustrating. I checked the screen resolution and he says: I can not change the resolution.

Is this normal, because now I can not use the internet because I can't scroll or do anything properly and I'm losing my patience.

Can anyone help please.

Original title: screen too large

    3. choose F11 on the keyboard to open the system recovery options.

The computer should boot from the recovery partition various options you of recovery. Note that the F11 option will work only if the recovery partition is there (not deleted) and intact. From there on, you have prenty of options to choose from.

Please, perform reset of Windows with the possibility to keep your files and save the settings.

    1. you can try just pressing the entry instead of the apply/OK key. It should work normally.

2 If #1 does not work, go to safe mode and the CIO adapt them again.
How to get in Mode safe:
Shut down your computer > turn it back on and immediately and repeatedly tab key F8 until you see a black and white screen. Use the up/down arrow and select Mode safe for the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

  • Qosmio F60 - 11 c - black screen after update of Windows 7 Directx11

    Hello
Two days ago I've updated Directx version because I want to try call of Duty Black Ops on my laptop. I've updated normally and it works perfectly but after a day at the restart of Windows7, after Windows 7 logo, I have a black screen and cpu fan running at full speed. So I used Toshiba Recovery Center and I got my pc to make settings. When it installs the drivers crashing into the graphics driver again. After that, I installed Windows 7, but I am using my computer on the resolution of 640 x 480 with 8 colors... And I can use the security with network mode but if I install the driver for GT - 330M and restart the computer, it hangs on after restarting windows 7.
I tried to change the options in the bios, but it's always the same problem.

    * My :* graphics card Nvidia GT330M
    * :* Bios version 2.50 / EC2.40 (last update on the Web from Toshiba site)
    * Nvidia Driver :* 260.64

I downloaded 197.16, 197.71, 258.80 drivers Nvidia and laptopvideo2go, but when I try to install these versions, it does not compotible with my control panel.

IM totally crushed now and I do not want my laptop to Toshiba Technical Service which is in Turkey. For an easy fix, they spent 30 days...

    You have an idea?

    Thanks in advance

    What happens then?
Problems after installing the operating system recovery disc?

    > When it installs drivers crashing into the graphics driver
You n t need to install all the drivers after installing the recovery disc. The recovery disk installs OS Win and also drivers needed!

    > I downloaded 197.16, 197.71, 258.80 drivers Nvidia and laptopvideo2go, but when I try to install these versions, it does not compotible with my control panel.

If you want to install non-Toshiba drivers, you will have to do it in the Device Manager.
You must use the Advanced installation procedure and have point to the driver files (ini files) that you have downloaded and stored on the HARD drive.
You have simply force windows to select this driver.

  • Satellite L675D: Blue error screen after upgrading to Windows 8

    Hello

I recently updated my laptop to Windows 8 Toshiba and whenever I use it, after 5-10 minutes, I get a page of the Blue error screen and restart the laptop.

    The problem is really annoying.

I discovered that if I plug the battery charger, the phone works normally, but I want to solve the problem correctly.

    What should I do?

I m wondering about your model of laptop. What cell phone do you have exactly?

    Regarding your question:
I would like to get this right, with the battery it works ok, but when the AC adapter is plugged, it crashes?

What happens when you connect the front adapter from the laptop would be turned on?

How have you installed the Windows 8? Move the laptop Win 7 to Win 8 or have you installed Windows 8 clean system?
Are installed all the drivers Toshiba Windows 8?

    Another idea:
Go to Windows 8 Device Manager and uninstall the device called compatible ACPI control method battery
Restart the machine and check how it works.

It looks like one or more of the boot loader files has been corrupted.

You need access to a PC for this phase of work in order to create the necessary support to fix your PC boot loader.

You will need to create something called a CD-ROM of repair of Win7. This will repair the boot loader files, and if that is the problem, your PC will start OK after that.  Yes, it's for Win7, but Vista uses the same bootstrapper, so you can use Win7 to repair the Vista bootloader files.

The file you need can be obtained (with supplement) from this link: http://neosmart.net/blog/2009/windows-7-system-repair-discs/

When you download this file, it will be an ISO file.

To make a CD bootable it, you will need to download and install ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/

Once you have installed, run, select the option "Save image to disk file" and select the downloaded ISO file and that it points to a blank CD.

To make a USB bootable of it, you will need to download and install RUFUS: https://rufus.akeo.ie/

Once you have that, it is executed in the input of the unit, use the drop down menu to select the USB stick.  Near the bottom right, where is written 'Create a bootdisk to aid', select the ISO file downloaded.
    -------------------------------------

Boot from the media that you have created and follow the instructions in this link: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/681-startup-repair.html

You will probably need to run Startup Repair three times for him to fix all the boot loader.

Once completed, your PC should start OK.

If it isn't, then some files of the operating system has also been corrupted and the only way to fix it would be to perform a system recovery - which if F11 does not work, but a recovery from the PC to its original using recovery media state.

Problem there is that HP no longer wears a recovery media for the Vista PC, so you should check to see if these sites still have it: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

    Good luck

  • Black screen after update yesterday Windows 7

This morning I got a black screen with cursor error.  Was able to get into task manager, started in safe mode, Startup Repair did not work.  Went to system restore and restored to the 8/14 update, computer restarted normally.

So the problem seems to be related to last update (19/08/10).  Now, of course I am offered this update again!  Any info on this problem?  I'm on a Dell Inspiron 546 desktop running 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium.  Thanks for any help...

Thanks for your reply.  After the system restore, I installed all the news updates and system rebooted normally.  Who knows why?

  • Top of the page too big screen

My workplace recently upgraded the computer to Windows 7.  Several colleagues have various problems.  We have a desktop display which is too broad.  The right gets cut off, IE time and date do not appear.  When we activated the gadgets, they appeared on the right, but only a small part is visible.  We had to move to see it all.  How we fear the screen down to adjust the monitor?

  • 3.0.98 (2.1) camera problem: not shown on the big screen after taking photo

It's strange to me that no one has noticed this earlier. Here's what's happening. When I take a picture, after the message "Capture."... "on the screen that will briefly dark, unlike in 1.5 (or any other phone or camera non-telephone), it is no more that 3-4 seconds while you can see the last picture taken. The captured image will immediately in the small tile in the corner of the screen. Whereas, on the backflip (even with the review of photo 1, 5), the last photo you see and the image that is actually taken can be very different, I see this as potentially troublesome for users. It is if they need to click on the thumbnail of each time they want to check if the picture is good because the thumbnail does not provide any information on sharpness.

Someone else can also try to take a picture and check if this is the case for all phone?

Not confirmed - there is no setting to photo review in camera and the photo taken just does not control when you take a picture.

Edit: just looked at my original phone and it doesn't have a framework of control of the image, it just makes.

I know that when I use my digital camera still disable the functionality of review when I need take snapshots of back to back quickly. A setting to turn this power would provide the best user experience.
