  Ok. Trying to fix a friend's computer and seem to have met a strange barrier.

  2. You receive an error message?
  3. You have security software installed on the computer?
  4. Have you performed an installation clean Windows XP and even after that this problem exists?

  Method 1

  As the computer starts up fine in safe mode there is a possibility that some third-party programs installed on the computer is the origin of the problem.

  I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

  To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  CCleaner is very useful to get rid of temporary files, you can get it here: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner you can use it to clean your temporary files, but DO NOT use registry cleaning works, registry cleaning is mainly a useless effort that can cause more harm than good.

  A little while back, I have authorized a program to install InboxAce on my computer. The toolbar is now show on Mozilla Firefox, and I think that it is the program that crashed my computer today, although Ace Inbox was not in use when my computer crashed. I have no need of this program and want to uninstall it. However, when I go into the control panel and select "Uninstall a program", my computer does not list this program for me to uninstall. I also tried to remove mywebsearch.com, but this doesn't seem to be anywhere on my computer. In addition, I have some plugins for this program listed either.   Because you performed a System Restore you would not be able to determine which update problem from occurring. You will have to wait for the update to your computer to determine the update that caused the problem. The update does not necessarily cause the problem to occur again. However, you can view the history of updates to updating history.
   
  1. open the control panel (all items view), and click the Windows Update icon.
   
  2. click on the link to view update history.
   
  3. to view the details of a single Windows Update-
   
  (A) select and right-click on a Windows Update list, and then click details.
   
  (B) click on close when finished.
   
  As far as the question of timing is concerened, you can scan SFC on your computer and check if the problem persists.
  
  Steps to perform a scan SFC:
   
  1. Click Start, click principally made programs, accessories, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow
   
  2. type the following command and press ENTER:
  sfc/scannow
  [The command sfc /scannow. analysis of all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.]
   
  A message appears indicating that "the system scan will start. Be patient, because the analysis may take some time
   
  3. If all the files require that a SFC replace will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Win7 DVD for this process to continue
   
  4. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.
   
  5. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

  There may be a program to interfere with Parental controls so that we can try a few things to see if we can determine the application or program that is causing problems.

  First of all, we run System File Checker to see if you have a corrupt file system.

  • Click Start
  • Click on all programs
  • Click Accessories, and then right-click on the command prompt.
  • Select the Security tab and choose "Run as Administrator"
  • Click on command prompt
  • Type SFC/scannow.

  It will scan and repair any damaged operating system files.

  To determine if there is a program because of a conflict, we recommend that you perform a "clean boot" of the computer. A clean boot is designed to disable programs and services in the background as much as possible. This helps determine which service or program can be the cause of the problem.  For more information about how to perform a clean boot for troubleshooting, click the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
