Toshiba 39L 3300 problems using external USB WLan WLM-20U2

Hello

Recently, I brought a 39L 3300 smart TV toshiba and got a free dongle for internet connection.

However, I was unable to connect to internet via wifi. The dongle I got from the Bank is a Toshiba dual band wireless LAN adapter WLM-model 20U2. But it doesn't seem to work at all when connected to the USB port. I checked with the other connectors USB port to watch movies and it works well.

The choice of type of network does not appear after the dongle is connected. Could there be a problem with this model of dongle? The user manual specifies a Toshiba dual band wireless LAN adapter WLM - 40U model. But the store gave her.

No matter which also I have this problem, please help.

> User manual specifies a Toshiba dual band wireless LAN adapter WLM - 40U model. But the store gave her.

Yes, of course the problems of compatibility between the TV and the WiFi dongle could cause this problem.
I recommend to use the recommended WLan dongle WLM - 40U for this model of TV

I have a Toshiba Satellite A30-514 with a USB powered 2.0 hub attached. In it's plugged a powered satellite Receiver/USB modem (for connection broadband), a USB bluetooth adapter and a HP PSC 1350 printer. The first two devices work fine, but the printer is not recognized correctly.

The powered USB hub is plugged into the first USB port on the laptop. The second USB port on the laptop is used by the receiver for a wireless optical mouse. It must be here otherwise, it does not work.
If I plug the printer directly into the second USB port on the laptop, it works fine.

In Device Manager, instead of show all HP devices it comes to peripheral USB Composite in the USB controllers section. It is an orange exclamation next to him.

If I boot the laptop with all 3 devices plugged into the hub and turned on, the printer is detected fine but the Bluetooth Radio devices have an orange instead exclamation point. I need the bluetooth device to attach a cell phone to the laptop. If I unplug the printer and restart the bluetooth is detected OK. Plug the printer in causes the Composite device to reappear with the exclamation point!

From left to right, looking at the front of the hub, devices are 1) satellite receiver/modem, 2) Bluetooth printer) 3.

I hope it's clear. Any help / advice would be received with gratitude.

    Hello

I think the problem is that one of the devices does not have enough power to operate. This is because a single USB port must provide 3 devices with power. If you have an external power supply to one of the features of this you should use.

  • Satellite A200: Cannot properly use external USB devices

I encountered a problem with my Toshiba laptop and I can't fix it, and I'm in need your help please...
The problem is that when I connect a USB portable device (an external hard drive, USB, iPod, Flash memory... etc) with more than 8 GB of memory...
It is not properly installed in the Device Manager and appears under "USB bus controllers.

But it does not say that it is an unknown device. It normally appears with his name, but he is not properly installed (it does not say that either) where it is supposed to be a camera under "imaging devices" in a specific category (hard drive under "drives"), and so on

And I can't use the unit because the HARD disk does not appear in 'My computer' and my iPod cannot be used

I would like to inform you that this problem is with all USB devices with more than 8 GB of memory.
Not a single device. I tried a lot of features to ensure that it is not a problem with the unit.

So this is a problem with my laptop and I installed Windows several times but no progress.
Thanks for your help in advance...

  • Satellite M30X: Problems with external USB 2.0 HARD drive

    Hello
I have a Toshiba Satellite M30X. I bought recently a 200 GB external hard drive. It has its own power supply. If I connect with USB 2.0 on my laptop, it happens to disconnect and reconnect leads him. Sometimes it works, so I can put data on the disc. Then again, he diconnects and reconnects repeatedly. I've tried a different USB Port, but there is no difference. It's very strange, because I plugged the external hard drive to many other computers (Laptop and Tower) and it STILL works! It is that with my cell phone, it disconnects and reconnects all the time. As I said, not always. Sometimes it works for a half an hour or two and then the action begins again...

  • M277dw: Reset zero problem using the USB to M277dw

Hello, I'm just trying to see if anyone else has had this problem. I use the laserprinter HP M277dw and use a current running nine Imac El captain. If I print anything on my printer and then decide to reboot my computer for some reason any, if I keep the USB cable connected to my computer that is connected to the printer, the computer hangs on reboot. It is the same on a full stop to the low and new start up as well. It's almost as if the printer is not disconnected somehow when I shut down or restart. The solution I found is to unplug the printer USB whenever I have to restart or shut down and then reconnect to the computer up and running again. My feeling is that this is related to the El captain, but I can't say for sure. Anyone else see this problem?

    Hi @andrewdawson11,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you have problems, turn off the Mac, it crashes on restart when the printer is connected by a USB connection. Run Apple updates.

You download and install the latest drivers for the printer? If the latest driver is not installed, which can cause this problem. Here is the link if you have not already: HP Easy Start.

Make sure that the correct driver is added.

Click on the Apple menu, click System Preferences. Click on Printers & Scanners, highlight the name of the printer on the left side and right side of the screen it should show the name of the printer. (Laserjet M277dw)

If the full name of the printer is not correctly, delete and add the printer name back from the list. Click on the sign - to remove the driver and then click on the + sign to add the driver might have to drop-down list to select the name of the printer to add a click.

If the problem persists, try the following:

Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:

    Close all applications.

In the Apple menu, click OK, click Applications, and then click utilities.

    Double-click disk utility.

Highlight your hard drive / partition on the left.

Click on check and then repair disk permissions.

    Restart the computer...

    Reset the printing system:

Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.

    Click on Printers & Scanners.

Make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left white side panel, and then click Reset printing system.

Click OK to confirm the reset.

Type the name and the correct password.

Click OK to reset the printing system.

Then click on the sign to add the driver, highlight the printer +. (you may need to click the drop down menu to select the printer name) Then click the Add button.

Test the printer and try to restart the Mac again.

If there is anything else I can help you, let me know. Thank you.

  • Recovery mode sleep using external USB keyboard

    Hello

I use a R400 with XP pro sp3. At home, I connect an external monitor and keyboard usb (logitech) + mouse (ms), but not using a docking station. When not to use the laptop I obviously put it in standby mode, but for the wakes, I have to open the cover and press the power button, not very practical.

There must be a way to wake up using the mouse or the keyboard, but I have not yet found how, even after a bit of googling autour. I have all the software usual lenovo/TV installed to the latest version (including keyboard customizer), so I can use right-ctrl + F4 from the external keyboard to go to sleep - but do not resume.

In the BIOS, I change the setting for USB keep the power on in all power States, but this did not help. Another thing to check/change?

We have 4 pc at home and he answered on any of this.
The next problem is that after I pluged in the USB 2.0 conector, nothing happens? In the close computer store, I asked the seller to try it on one of their computers and the seller pluged it in one of the laptops and my external hard drive has responded immediately!

After the test to the computer store, we have purchased a pci usb 2.0 card because we thought it was the problem of usb, but after installation of the usb hard drive adapter has failed, either.

    What could be the problem?

    Hello

The dealer has tested the HARD drive and it worked.
It seems the exterior works of HARD drive and can be recognized on the computer.

In my opinion it s is not a HARD drive problem. For the most part this external HARD drive needs more power that can provide a USB port. My brother uses external USB HDD and it was delivered with a cable from USB 2. His HARD drive must be connected to the 2 USB ports on the laptop.

I think that if you have a single USB plug cable, so you should use an external power supply for the HARD drive or try to connect it to the USB hub with external power supply.

    Maybe it will work

  • How to use the external USB camera on iPhone IOS 6?

    Hello

I need to use an external USB Endoscope for the inspection of vehicles and etc. using IOS on iPhone 6.  I bought an external USB 2.0 adapter lightning, plugged in the endoscope (comments showed that this endoscope works on IOS devices) and it pops up and says that the device used too much power to be used on the device.  You are not sure if Apple cut the device to use at that time or not? But the device was always powered up as shown on the drive of the USB light on the endoscope.

I downloaded several types of applications of the observer including I think that the right VLC who apparently used one of the reviewers and I couldn't figure out how to get an any of them to allow the selection of an external camera.

  • External Toshiba HARD drive not recognized on USB 2.0 ports, but only on USB 3.0

    Hello

I have a Toshiba drive external HARD 750 GB USB2.0/USB3.0
Now, this HARD drive is not recognized on USB 2.0 ports from my laptop (same thing on my desktop computer) but only on the USB 3.0 port.

I have try on port USB2.0 computers different (desktop, laptop) but it doesn't work. The LED is the lightning, but the drive does not appear in the file Explorer.

    You have any ideas?

    Thank you

    > Now this HARD drive is not recognized on USB 2.0 ports from my laptop (same thing on my desktop computer) but only on the USB 3.0 port

USB 3.0 port 900mA feeds. The USB 2.0 port common provides 500mA.
I think that the HARD drive needs more 500mA power in order to work properly.

So if you want to use the HARD drive on USB 2.0 ports, I recommend you to use a USB Y cable which allows to connect the HARD drive to two USB 2.0 ports

  • My computer Toshiba Satellite keeps the 'blue screen' and that is to say that it is caused by "a problem with a USB driver. How can I fix it?

Resolve a problem with a USB driver

You have received this message because your universal serial (USB) bus driver caused a stop error, also known as a blue screen error. This error means that the computer has stopped abruptly to protect against potential corruption of data or loss.

    What is a driver?

A driver is software that allows your computer to communicate with hardware or devices. Without drivers, the hardware you connect to your computer (for example, a video card or a webcam) may not work properly.

The recommended steps that follows can help to eliminate this problem, or at least reduce its frequency. Try them in the order listed. If a step cannot solve or reduce the problem, then move on to the next.

    Steps to fix this problem

    1. Adjust your computer's power settings

The following power settings may help reduce the frequency of this problem.

      1. Turn off the USB selective suspend setting:

        1. Click on the Start button .

        2. In the search box, type power options, and then press ENTER.

        3. Find the plan selected, and then click change plan settings.

        4. Click change advanced power settings.

        5. Double-click the USB settings , and then double-click on USB selective suspend setting.

        6. Make sure that the USB selective suspend setting is disabled. If it is enabled, click it and select disabledand then click OK.

      2. Disable power saving mode (computer portable computers only):

        1. Click on the Start button .

        2. In the search field, type power options, and then press ENTER.

        3. Under Preferred Plans, ensure that High Performance is selected, and then close the window.

    2. Look for an update of the BIOS for your computer system

Several computer manufacturers whose computers have this problem published BIOS updates to fix this known issue. Contact your computer manufacturer to see if a BIOS update is available for your computer model.

      What is the BIOS?

The basic input/output system (BIOS) is software built into a computer that runs when the computer is turned on. Among other things, this software starts the operating system, and supports the transfer of information between hardware devices (such as the keyboard and the monitor).

How can I find the manufacturer of my computer?

Click on the Start button , type msinfo32 in the start search box and press ENTER. The manufacturer of your computer is listed as the manufacturer of the system in the right pane of the system information window.

Click here to go online to see the contact information for most of the computer manufacturers

    3. Download and install the latest updates and drivers for your computer

It's a good idea to periodically check the updates of driver for your computer, especially if you added new hardware recently, such as a USB hub or other USB device.

    What is a USB hub?

A USB hub is a device with multiple (USB) universal serial bus ports. USB ports are narrow and rectangular connection points to connect USB devices to your computer. A USB hub is used an Extender of port or port replicator, providing more USB ports to run from a USB connection on your computer. USB hubs can be external devices that connect to a USB port, or they can be internal devices built into your computer.

    To check for driver updates:

    1. Use Windows Update to find and install updates:

      1. Go online to Windows Update

      2. Click the check for updates in the left pane, and then click view available updates.

What happens if I see any updates available?

        • If you see you receive updates: managed by your system administrator, you can try clicking on the link to check online for updates from Microsoft Update or Search online for updates from Windows Update, but you should maybe contact your system administrator to get the desired updates.

        • If you do not see the message above and no update is available in Windows Update after clicking on the link check the updates in the left pane, then the available updates have already been installed.

      3. Select the driver for your device updates and more updates to install.

        Note
We recommend that you install all Important updates and recommended. These updates improve the security and stability of your computer.

      4. Click on install. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    2. If you recently added a new hardware device on your computer, go online to the manufacturer's Web site to see if there is an update to the driver.

    3. If you recently added a new program on your computer, go online to the manufacturer's Web site to see if an update is available.

Steps to work around this problem

    Warning
These measures are intended to solve a specific problem, but could do so by temporarily disabling or removing some features on your computer.

    1. Try to remove newly added USB devices

If this issue occurs after adding a USB hub or other USB device, consider removing to see if the problem goes away. If this resolves the problem, contact the manufacturer of the device for the updates or other recommendations.

    2. Do not disconnect USB devices while the computer is to stop or go to sleep

This problem is known to occur when USB devices are disconnected when the computer is trying to stop or switch mode to 'sleep'. This is common with cell phones, especially those with a docking station, as docking station can act as a USB hub. The frequency of this problem could be reduced by allowing your computer to completely close or completely in sleep mode before detached from its docking station or unplug it or the docking station USB devices.

If you know which USB device is causing the problem

It may be possible to prevent the Blue error screen by choosing the option remove the device safely in the Notification area, before putting your computer into sleep or Hibernate mode.

    1. In the system tray, click the icon to remove the device , select the USB device that you think that the origin of the problem and then click OK.

    2. Do not physically remove the USB device.

    3. Perform the action which resulted in the Blue error screen, so that was taken the functioning of your computer after the mode standby, hibernation, or, in the case of laptops, close the laptop computer or place it in a docking station.

      1. If the Blue error screen persists, it is likely that the problem is with another USB device. Try this procedure using other USB devices until you find that at the origin of the problem.

  • If the Blue error screen disappeared, you have probably identified the device causing the problem. Contact the manufacturer of the device for more information on how to solve this problem, or use the option to remove the device safely to work around him.

  • Note
Depending on the manufacturer and model, some USB devices will become available automatically when you resume using your computer. Others will require that first disconnect you physically and then plug back in front, they will be recognized by the computer. Check the system tray to see if the USB device that you removed safely become available when you started to use your computer again. If she did not become available automatically, then physically unplug it and then plug it in again.

I am trying to copy a file from my hard drive internal sata to USB external hard drive when I get the error code: error 0 x 80070057 the parameter is incorrect.

Windows 7 Ultimate. SP1, all updates applied until 01/06/2013. It is the first time for many years that I was puzzled. Help

Hey, thanks for the back. But I found that Windows has nothing to do with the problem. Recently I had upgraded to Acronis 2013 and used it to make several copies of my C drive for a total rebuild.

I decided to move these files to my drive to free up space on my internal hard drive, external usb drive. That's when the trouble started. The four files, I moved only gave problems.

Still scratching my head on this subject. Auto car, supposed to Acronis TIH2013 must be at fault. So I uninstalled with REVO Uninstaller ATIH2013, to a maximum depth of scan. Then downloaded and installed a new copy of the ATIH2013, made a new image to replace the one which gave the trouble.

    Problem solved!

The first download of Acronis must have had a bug in the download, the second seems to be clean and working properly.

Anyway, thanks for the help. I'll keep it in mind in case I ever encounter this problem again.

The problem occurs on my other PC with different versions of Windows.
How can I get my computer to start and not give me this error message for my backup drive?
At startup (when the drive disconnected), I get a screen of BACK indicating "Client Mac Addr."... GUID..., DHCP. "I think it's looking for a disk boot from.
I just need to boot from the internal hard drive.
    Thank you
    AS

USB external references aren't desingned to be connected on startup, you must also use the safely remove the procedure and disconnect the USB key before closing.

If you get such a screen "Client Mac Addr... etc" at the start (with usb unplugged), looks like you are using a very old motherboard. If the system starts only with connected usb, then your initial installation of victory is defective or damaged
