  • Toshiba 32RV635D does not power off when the computer turns off

    Hello

I inherited a Toshiba 32RV635D. I have a PVR based on linux (Mythtv) connected to the TV via HDMI, connected on a Nvidia GT610.

With my previous TV, a Vistron LCD Panel at low prices, he would go to sleep when the put PC into hibernation and light up when the PC came back.
This required no configuration of me, he's done right. The Toshiba TV does not work.

With this Toshiba TV, when the POR turns off the TV turns off screen but is actually still on - power led remains lit in green.

Same thing with the other way around - if I put the TV in standby and powered the POR, the TV does not respond and I have to manually put out of Eve.

I updated the firmware and it has not changed anything, and I can't find anything related to power management in the menus of televisions. I even tried just pulling the HDMI cable to the back of the TV so it has no physical active entry, and yet, it does not fall to sleep.

The Amazon page for TV mentions the power management features, and I expected from what I understand, it should behave the way she.

I read a lot on HDMI-CEC, but to use it with my existing kit, I would need to buy an adapter USB - CEC, and which seems a little odd because my previous TV not cheap-as-chips just done this...

Also, the different uses in linux suggests considers its sounds the right - 'xset q' running when the computer is idle tells me that "the monitor is turned off" when in fact it is not.

    Clues?

Ricklous, it can be useful if you have a look at the url
    http://www.Toshiba-OM.NET/LCD/PDF/English/Country_Specific/RV635-323742-English-specific.PDF

If you want to download the manual of the English edition for your model, I have not read through, but it may be useful to you.

Either by the way, I have the model 32RL900A and find only a VCR plugged into the claims of taking SCART screen every time it turns on while the TV is set to a string of FTA (Free To Air) and then 'hands back' screen when he (PVR) goes out, and this, I discovered, is a characteristic of the system SCART.

I don't know if this information is useful to you, but hope it helps.

The common Modules is a crucial driver to be installed at the beginning!

Therefore, you should visit the European driver of Toshiba. Need to select your model laptop and download this common Modules.
Install it and then repeat the installation of the Hotkey utility.

  • Problems with firmware of Toshiba TL 838 - Youtube and Toshiba Places does not work

    Hey,.

    I have a TL838 TV with:

    -6.4.0V 1 firmware
    -Mboot version 00518740
    -MFC version 244930

About 1 month ago youtube stopped working.
A few days ago, Toshiba places stopped working again.
The TV is connected to the Internet and connection test is also passed.

I tried switching country and language in the settings but it does not help.
I also tried to change the DNS settings. Nothing.

    Does anyone have an idea?
I found a firmware named TL838_v6.4.1T.1 on the internet.

    Should I try?

Toshiba Places is service may not work for server problems.
This has nothing to do with the settings of the TV or the firmware.
In the event of server maintenance services Toshiba will be not accessible and available for a short period.

With regard to the issue of YouTube:
I think that the TV used the service Youtube XL.
But google Google stops support for YouTube XL to June 9, 2013
Instead of Google Youtube XL, you can try to use the link youtube.com/tv to enjoy Youtube on the TV.
In addition, you can use the YouTube Leanback Lite: http://www.youtube.com/leanbacklite

Here, in this thread, you can find the details mode:

By the way: the firmware for the Smart TV Toshiba can be found on this page of Toshiba:

  • Re: Toshiba Tempro does not work

When I connect Windows 7 on my laptop, I get a dialog message saying that Toshiba Tempro does not work and that Windows is trying to find a solution, although he never does.

I tried delete, by downloading from the Web from Toshiba site and reinstall it without success.

    Help, please!

    Peter

Usually reinstalling should help. Remove the Tempro system, clean using CCleaner registry entries, restart the laptop and try to install Tempro again.

In the worst cases, remove Tempro and the problem is solved. In General, it is a useful tool in Toshiba but in fact you don t he need at all. I removed it from the system. In a first time, it runs in right context and slow down the performance of s for laptop and inform me of updates which are not so important to the functionality of the laptop.

Perhaps in the future make you clan installation operating system with original Toshiba recovery image and after doing this, you will have clean OS preinstalled with working perfectly Tempro.

    Good bye

  • My Toshiba Satellite will NOT connect to the WiFi in my house of employers, but connects everywhere else I will!

My Toshiba Satellite WILL NOT connect to WiFi in my house of employers, but connects everywhere else I go; I have Windows XP Home Edition SP3, and there a router Linksys WRT16ON. My network card is an Atheros AR5001X + Wireless Network Adapter (and says "this device is working properly". I tried disabling, entering all information, penetrates is not in the news was unchecking the "Enable IEEE 802. 1 x authentication"(and whenever I go in there, he checked again) changed on 'Open' and 'AES' TKIP, WPA (which is) and the password is correct, restart the router, moved the laptop around (the router was in my room, now it is in the thnxt room and it Me REPEAT JUST : 'Validation of identity' and 'impossible to find a certificate to connect to the network'.) I can connect with ethernet, but not with this new situation of the House, do I have the wireless. WHAT ME MISS? I did this for weeks and even now, it says I'm connected, the signal strength is very good, often great, but Explorer cannot display this webpage. Can someone tell me what to do? Thank you!  Allie

Your old Toshiba equipped with an adapter wireless which is likely to be used for Wireless-a, b, wireless and wireless-g (the project).   Your employer has a newer version (not the last and larger, but much more recent than your equipment) router Linksys that is capable of wireless-b, wireless-g and wireless - n.

Your most likely problem is that your employer has set up his router to "N-only.  Wireless n uses the same radio frequency as wireless-g (this is why detect you the "excellent" signal strength), but uses a different protocol (this is why you can't connect).

Politely ask your employer to change the mode 'network' from the back of the default router of "mixed".

The router manual is here: http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers/WRT160N see p. 13 ' Basic Wireless Settings.

Looking for a certificate message was probably bound to have the box 802.11 x checked.  This box should NOT be checked for home wireless networks.

  • 40TL938G Toshiba: Toshiba Places - can not open the app "Brain Trainer".

    Hi people,

Did someone has the same problem, when when I try to open the brain train space edition on toshiba sets up game, he stuck on the boot screen and does not open.

    Does anyone have a tip?

    Thank you.

I guess that the simple apps appearing in the App Store are not created by Toshiba but 3rd party developer.
But it seems that no one else has had the same problem and this is why I recommend to reset the TV and try to install this application again.

  • Flash DRIVE (16 GB from Toshiba PA3875A-1MAB) not to message format

A few months ago, I bought two disks USB 16 GB with the intention to use as a convenient medium for some data files for me and my wife on separate PCs, which were all two Dell Windows XP desktops. I used my drive a few times, thinking that everything was OK, until one day I found a few files and folders were not available with total waste (file names and files were mixed symbols rather than normal alpha characters as those used).

Disaster with our two PC begins to fail, so it became essential for backup to other media as quickly as possible and start hunting for parts replacement. We decided on HP with Windows 7 64-bit desktop computers, using i5 and i7 processors. After several weeks of frustration, (HP don't bother can you tell what software comes with your machine, or why do I get a few accessories while flying over odd) almost all perephirals - scanners, printers - have been replaced or later drivers downloaded and installed, put the subject of this post in low priority.

However, I have now connected my USB drives and received the usual Windows message that "software successfully installed device driver. Your device is ready to use. So far so good. The drive is illustrated perfectly in Windows Explorer, but when I click on the drive, I get the dreaded message 'you must format the disk L: drive until you can use it. You want to format? »

Never having had such a message with a USB drive before and high on the premise that formatting a drive is a last resort to avoid at all costs, I tried to see what would reveal the Properties Windows Me. Low and behold, on the Hardware tab, I was informed that "this device works properly! But the general tab also tells me that the drive has used 0 and 0 free. I am informed as reliable file system is "FAT".

I tried to put the discs in different USB ports, and the same messages to arrive. All my other readers USB of various brands and sizes of work without a hitch in one of the USB ports.

I connected the player to my old laptop Windows XP, and the reader is immediately apparent in Windows Explorer, without any notification of drivers being installed. However, by clicking on the disc causes a Windows message "is not formatted the disk in drive F: - do you want to format it now? Properties tell me the file system is 'RAW', and of course it says that the device is functioning properly.

I didn't need to recover the data on the USB, as I have several other modes of backup I use (redundancy is a very good thing when it goes wrong), but I would be very interested to learn that everyone has experienced the same thing, and they have done about it. If I select 'Format' which system use (if an option)-I read that FAT32 is good for drives up to 4 GB, but after that NTFS is the best option. I am also aware that the reader had initially been partitioned with Toshiba technology 'Lock', and that formatting will erase all of this. Site Web de Toshiba makes no mention of this question (that I could find after a thorough search).

Or do I just use USB drives to my dealer and tell them that they do not work correctly and claim my warranty? Probably the least hassle for me, unless Toshiba want to assert that this is a normal operation of their product and charge me for the privilege.

All constructive responses would be very appreciated.

you have to claim your warranty

    Hello

If it is not compatible with s Win8, you will need to remove it.
But do you really need this tool?
I mean you can enable and disable the wifi in the charm of Win8 bar menu.
Press the Windows key + C shortcut on your keyboard to pass the bar of charm. Then choose settings
