Toshiba NB205-N325BL-XP install?

Well I just bought the netbook in the subject line and it came with the OS Windows 7 starter and I was wondering if anyone knew if I could wipe the own hard drve and install XP and if I can have all the features this case or if I need some drivers and where can I get the drivers If Yes and even a sort of walk through how to install XP on netbook I've ever owned one just got a great deal on this subject...

The problem is that the second XP installation will change the boot settings. The netbook will boot XP and you won't have a choice to select Windows 7 yet. To have a choice, you must run the installation of Windows 7, but not very far, until you can select repair the boot upward. Then you should see a menu when you start giving you the choice of two BONES. One of them will be set as the default and you can change this in the control panel/systems.

  • NB205-N325BL games

    Greetings,
A few weeks ago, I bought a toshiba NB205-N325BL. I have to say that it is very good for its price and performance.

So I tried on his game.
Rise of Nations, I played, but the problem is that the game needs more big resolution for monitor.

He keeps giving this error, becouse monitor is small:

    * Rise of Nations cannot work with monitor display set to 256 colors. Please change display on 16-bit or higher *.

I tested my home monitor and it worked out fine runned and pretty good game.

    Laptop screen: 1024, 600
    game screen minimum: 1024, 768
    My operating system: Windows 7

So my problem is. Is it possible to run the game with smaller screen that the game requires?

Please don't get me wrong, but I don't think that Toshiba is the right place for this question.
Ask the people who created this game.

If I understand correctly you small NB has enough power to run game so the question is for Microsoft.
By the way: NB200/205 is not designed for games. You know what I mean?

  • Toshiba NB205 - recovery media has been tampered

I have a Toshiba NB205. My netbook was also gently as when I first bought it, so I decided to do a cover on it. This netbook doesn't have a disk drive, so the recovery program gave the possibility of having the recovery media placed on a flash drive. So I went before the resumption, everything has been removed from the netbook, and then when he went to re - install, 20% it says there is an error, and the flash player has been tampered.

So now I'm stuck with a netbook that has no OS on it. Is there anyway to fix this without spending $40 on an external drive & then another $ 40 for the purchase of Toshiba recovery media to correct their mistakes.

This man of mercy of s, but it seems your flash memory stick is / is not ok
You have another disc of Windows 7 from Microsoft?

In this case, you can use this disk to create a USB bootable flash memory stick and you could install Win 7 genuine system using this USB key.

Missing drivers can be downloaded from the Toshiba driver page:

You must first create/burn image ISO of Win 7 DVDs. To do that you can use a tool called ImgBurn.
Now, you must use the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create a bootable USB key to get the Windows 7 installed.

  • Toshiba NB205 cannot Acess recovery Partition

I have visited before, but I can't do it again. I tried holding 0 and F8 but nothing works. Here's something I posted elsewhere on my problem.
NOTE: I need to know what caused the problem, I just need to get into the hidden restore partition.

    Hello.

I have a Netbook NB205 from Toshiba. It comes preinstalled with XP Service Pack 3. For some stupid reason, I decided that I wanted to install Ubuntu Netbook Remix on this computer (note: I just received this model). Before installing it, I added some restore points. After that, I have loaded Ubuntu on a flash drive and booted from it. I installed correctly AND made sure that I installed it on the partition Z, the partition that I had done in preparation. He asked me several times if I wanted to co exist with XP, and I said yes to every time. If after installation of Ubuntu, it started fine. And after checking out, I decided that he was stupid and not user-friendly. So I started to boot XP to delete the partition and reclaim the space. Not the case. XP stopped about 75% through this first loading bar. A blue screen of death flashed on the screen and quickly disappeared. Then the computer restarted. Before launching windows (after selection on Ubuntu to boot), I was given "Unexpectedly closed Windows" screen Here's what I got with the other boot options:

    1. boot in safe mode: a command script appeared, then the screen flashed blue, then the computer restarted.

2 safe Mode, command prompt: same as 1

3 safe Mode, Networking: same as 1

    4. last settings that worked: same as described in the paragraph above boot

If I didn't have much luck with anything whatsoever.

I think it is that the boot sector XP got crashed or corrupted by the grub boot sector who use Ubuntu. My computer was not packed with any restoration or the XP CD of any sort. I stupidly did NOT create backup CD, even though I had no way of knowing this would happen ahead.

I have another computer, running Vista Home Basic. I can create CDs with Nero 8 (I have a USB CD drive to my netbook) and have many readers flash I could use to start things off.

What I really think I need to know if it is how to access the hidden recovery partition that is on my computer. After you set the restore points, I think that would solve the problem. I did once, but just before I could click on enter, my computer shut down by 0% battery. Talk about luck bum. I was hitting just random keys (which works surprisingly well sometimes), so I don't remember what I got.

Please note that all that is on my hard drive is not important for me, I've already evacuated all the files I need. So if this is a clean install, I need, I'm fine with that, well I have not all XP discs.

If you could help me I would be very grateful!

If the recovery Partition is damaged or missing, there is nothing you can do to restore.

You must order a set of Toshiba recovery disks. I found the site of contacts for you: http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/navShell.jsp?cf=su_contact

  • Tecra A10 - 11 M: Toshiba programs cannot be installed after BIOS update

    Hello!

I've recently updated my original notebook BIOS to 3.0 version (downloaded from this link: http://ce.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?LNG=20&service=CE).

Everything is fine but the next day when I turned on my laptop Toshiba programs won't work for example Toshiba Power Saver. When I tried the update once, it is said that "this computer is not supported.

What should I do to make this work?
    I'm a little afraid because I have to make it work in a week and I don't know what was wrong (I have not interrupted "installation" BIOS);

    Nihli

    Hello

Firstly the Toshiba Power Saver is available only for win XP.
    Using Win XP?

If Yes, then you should update/install common Module v 6.06.01 for Win XP!
This is an essential application which is required by other tools, as well!

  • Satellite P500 - 01 G-install the Toshiba software after clean install

    Hi all

I have a Toshiba P500 - 01 G (http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/products/computers/satellite/p500/pspgsa-01g003/overview) running the grouped Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I bought an upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate, but can not use it, he just tells me to use Windows Anytime Upgrade.

However, I can use it for a clean install and I intend, but I don't know what to do on the Toshiba Software (http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/p500/pspgsa-01g003/download?os=25).
I read on another thread that the software must be installed in a certain order and frankly I have no idea! I don't want to break something! I'm not to ask for the list accurate for each of them (except if you have time) but just a general guide as to what I should install in the order.

Also, I guess that my recovery partition is erased in the process and I can't get it back. Is this true?

Thank you very much. I really appreciate it,
    Abraham.

    Hello, Abraham

I m the Satellite P500 owner too and it's really great machine, isn t it? I like it. My Toshiba best ever.
My machine is preinstalled original Toshiba recovery image and it works without any problems so I put t want to change anything.

Back to your question. I assume that you have a few reasons why you want to use the Ultimate version then you should try to clean OS install. Before you anything create recovery DVDs. Make two copies.
After that make what you can do with your laptop all you used to because if you want to have the factory settings, again you can use created the recovery disc and install original recovery image.
After recovery of registered OS image will help and you will not be able to start the installation of HARD drive recovery then please create restore DVD.

Installing Win7? I have the European model, and I will send exact installation order list. There may be small differences compared to the model of the AU, but the principle remains the same.

  • Equium L10: How to use Toshiba Recovery CD to install the OS

Sorry in advance if this might be a stupid question, but I have not re-installed the operating system for years and don't know how to do.

I think I need to reinstall cause i've got my laptop for almost 2 years and it became too slow with lots of error messages.

Have Toshiba Equium L10 with Windows XP and a recovery DVD. The DVD contains Windows XP? Should I format my laptop first or just insert the DVD and follow the instructions?

And after everything is done all the garbage will be gone and it will contain Windows XP only? And yet one thing I am concerned about my internet work later (I have a cable connected to the LAN) or I will have to do something?

Thank you for all the advice!

    Hello Laura

The previous user explained everything very well. For the new operating system installation you must use supplied recovery media. It contains BONES, all the drivers you need and also all Toshiba designed and utility tools.

Procedure recovery takes about 20 minutes, but after that finish you'll still factory settings as the first day.

Regarding your use of the Internet I can not tell you much, but try to connect LAN cable and you will see how it looks like.

  • Satellite A300-1QD - "Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba" will not be installed

    Hello

My system: Vista 64 Home Premium

I already have the option for bluetooth devices in my Systemcontroll, but no device is shown.
So I downloaded official Toshiba Bluetooth stack. At first, it seems that everything is fine, but after the second window, when RFBUS is installed and shown in the popup system that it is redy for use, the installation will stop. I don't know what to do? If I cancel the installer at this point, the installer said that the installation has been successfully and I should restart my system. Done, but no device.

If I install the Bluetooth monitor too, I can connect to my mobile phone.

Do I need the monitor? What is my fault on the battery Installation?

If you are using an external Bluetooth USB adapter that is not Toshiba, then use the Bluetooth software supplied by the product.

Do you use an internal Bluetooth module or a USB Bluetooth Toshiba adapter then I recommend the following?
    -Remove the "Bluetooth Monitor" software.
    -Remove the Toshiba Bluetooth stack.
-Version of stack Bluetooth download the x 64 of the last battery Bluetooth.
-Install the battery Toshiba Bluetooth. Make sure that you do not cancel any window during the installation. Be patient.
-Do not use the Bluetooth Control Panel icon. It is still available, but you can not always use.
-To start the battery Bluetooth just double click on the Bluetooth system tray icon or run it by double-clicking
    Start-> programs-> Toshiba-> Bluetooth-> Bluetooth settings

  • Re: unable to remove the toshiba bluetooth stack or install another version

    Hello

I installed Toshiba Bluetooth Stack on my laptop Toshiba Satellite p300. (Vista)

The question I'm getting is the CD has not installed the software completely, but is shown in Add & Remove Programs, when I click on uninstall I get error 2753.
I can't see BT Stack V1.2 - 2.0 installed in c:/program files & if I try and install from disk once again as I remove program then error 2753.

How can I remove BT stack of my laptop? I tried to install the later version of the site, but all I get is installed then accept then he said there still remove error 2753.
(the only place where I can see bluetooth stack is to add & remove programs)
He was appointed as something else in program files?
where is this hiding so I can rename or delete?

    someone had this problem?

  • What is the best way to see what software toshiba can / must be installed?

I think formatting hard drive of my A100-454, from scratch and full Windows Vista Edition installation.

I would like to know what that (last version and preferently, in Portuguese language) software/driver should I install. Y at - it a Web page that gives this information?, without be 'thrown' by a search that gives "any software all drivers any version" downloads (Yes, I forget the filters... :)))?

I ask because, as you know, the cams of laptop with many software/utilities installed, and, at least, I don't know really "what does what" and I would like to see a page that objectively, would say "for A100-454... install these software and drivers, this software does this, this software that makes...". »

  • Where to download drivers and utilities Toshiba after a clean install?

My new Qosmio X 500 is very slow, that just after the start and I want to do a clean install to remove unnecessary software (Norton, MS Office Trial, some utilities Tishiba) completely, but I want to assure you that I can always find and install utilities (Protection of the HDD, fingerprint reader, etc.) I want as well as drivers for all components (Webcam, bluetooth access keys)

These things do not come to drive more and the page "downloads" on mytoshiba point to nothing at all

Help, please! I wanted to do today, but cannot not even call anyone, as it is Sunday here :(

If you want to have more portable computer fast, you should not do clean OS install. Just remove all things you need and also to disable some applications to start with Windows.
All is the OS configuration issue.

Please note that Toshiba recovery image has been tested and all hardware components will not function properly. With your new installation of operating system, sometimes you'll have some strange problems.
