Touble router settings E900

I have hurt my E900 router settings to my through Fairpoint DSL service.  I ran the installer, but get a message at the end that it cannot connect to the internet.  I entered in the advanced and checked settings I'm set to PPPoE with the correct name and password to my DSL.  I also see that the router is connected when I look at the status tab.

I know that the modem and the ADSL connection are OK because I have a router Linksys more old I'm able switch on to and reconnect without any problem.  I'm testing a directly wired installation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you can do, it is access to your router configuration page, check the settings of the internet on this router and then reproduce these settings on your new router. For more information about how to configure the router to connect DSL then check on the link below.

  • Windows 10 devices cannot access the router settings (R6250) page

So, after several hours of troubleshooting (reset the router, firmware flashing, try several devices) I think I discovered why I get the message '192.168.1.1 refused to connect': 10 Windows. All devices not - 10 Windows can connect to Settings page fine, but all of my Windows 10 devices fail and get this message. And on my laptop, it gets the message refused on Windows 10, but when I rebooted the router and tried a linux live usb on the laptop, it connected to the page of the parameters very well. So I think it's some kind of problem between Windows 10 and the router.

Anyone has any advice on how to fix this? I need the settings page to run on Windows 10 as it is the main operating system I use.

    Thank you!

  • Router Linksys E900

Good afternoon, and pardon the interruption. My name is Raymond Johnson Jr. and I was just curious to know what the serial number for a router E900 was and where I could buy the product. However, I also try to find out if the update of the firmware has been on the product before I bought it. I'm not able to contact the service to the customer for any question, until after I buy the product, but it is not the same version so I found this kind of weird. Likewise, I use linksys for a long time and am in need to get the product for internet connection of my mother. Now, if the response does not know it's quite good, but I would like to know if I can pass the router for my mother. We thank anyone so assistance.

P.S. When did this product come out or when it is launched?

It's confusing because the E900 has been out for a long time.

You can purchase directly from the site Web of Linksys.

  • How to install the firmware for the router LinkSys E900 update?

    Hello

I use Mac 10.7.5 and a few months back had bought E900 wireless router.  He has installed 1.0.03 firmware and I noticed there is a 1.0.04)is update.  I downloaded the update, which is a sync .bin file, but I don't have a CD burner, or access to a Windows machine.  How can I install the update of the firmware?

    Thanks,-Dave

Just, simple, with your wired computer (never wireless) access the GUI of the router and perform the update of the firmware.  Just point to the .bin file and you leave.  Make sure you reset the router and reconfigure it once you're done hard.

  • Help to find the router settings.

I have a WRT54G V.6, and I need to give to zero because the password has been lost. In the reset guide, he says you make a note of the current settings, but I can't seem to do it without the password. Is there another way to find settings?

I'm an online gamer, so my connection quality is extremely important.

No, you must reset the entire router or remember the password.  The default password is admin with no user name.

  • Could not save the WRT54G Router settings!

Recently, I have reset the Linksys WRT54G Router because I can't get the page with a note to "CONTINUE", I used to have. I can also save the new setting. What comes out is a blank page. Pls help me. Thank you.

This problem is usually caused by suboptimal communication between the computer and the router. The most common cause for this is a computer software firewall problem, but there are also several other possible causes:

To view web pages of the router (and to solve problems "Cannot save settings"):

You don't need an Internet connection. 'web Pages' of the router are integrated into the router.
Use Internet Explorer, it usually works.
    JavaScript must be enabled.
Use a computer that is connected to the router.
In the non-working computer, temporarily disable your firewall software.

Point your browser to 192.168.1.1, and then connect to your router. Your username must be left blank. Your password is "admin" (without the quotes), unless you changed it.

If you use Zone Alarm, do a right-click on the ZA icon in the taskbar (bottom right of screen) then click on "Shutdown ZoneAlarm" and see if that solves your problem. If this does not work, try the following with Zone Alarm: open the control center ZAISS, go to privacy, then temporarily disable Ad Blocking and Cookie Control and see if it solves your problem.

Some Zone Alarm users reported that the addition of 192.168.1.1 to their address list "of trust" solved the problem. This trick can also work with other firewalls.

If you use Noton Internet Security with the add-on Pack, don't forget to disable the blocker and ad blocker. Some users have reported that they needed to uninstall all Norton Add-on Pack.

If you can not get anything to 192.168.1.1 then perhaps this is not the address of the router. Go to 'Start' > all programs > Accessories > command prompt.
A black DOS window will appear. Type "ipconfig" (with no quotes), and press the Enter key. Look at the "default gateway". It is 192.168.1.1? Point your browser to the 'default gateway', can connect you to your router.

If the above fails, unplug your modem router, then try again. If it solves your problem, then you probably a "modem-router" rather than a regular modem. A report with this problem and also specify the brand and exact model of your modem (not router) number.

If all above fails them, turn off your entire system, unplug it from the wall, wait a minute, then lights up, then try again.

If all the above tips fail, then reset the default router: power down the router and unplug all the wires. Wait a minute. Switch on the router, let it fully boot (1-2 minutes), then press and hold the reset for 30 seconds button, then release the button and allow the router to reset and restart (2-3 minutes). Turn off the router. Wait a minute. To connect to a computer, cable, a router's LAN port. Initialize the system. It should work.

If you still have problems, then you must download and install (or reinstall) the latest firmware for your router. After the update of the firmware, you must reset the default router, and then configure the router again from scratch. If you have saved a router configuration file, DO NOT use it.

  • settings on the router for ITouch

I have tried to connect my new ITouch with my home wireless, but will have many problems.  It does not accept the password.  I read some of the discussions, but there are so many things listed there.  Right now my router, a WRT54G, is defined as 64-bit WEP with a code.  What I read, I should change to a 128 bit and generate a key code for this.  If I do that, should I do something different for my laptop, which work very well with the wireless?  I won't spoil things, I'm not use to treat the router settings, etc..

If you change the 64 to 128-bit WEP encryption, generate the password for you and use the 1 KEY to reconnect to the network wirelessly on your laptop.

  • Add DNS - network settings, the parameters of the airport or both?

I didn't know there are 2 places for that - and I'm not sure that works best.

Recently added 6.6.6.6 and 8.8.8.8 to try to speed up Web sites that have been loading slowly, as suggested these tips very. I have added in the network settings, but then recently realized that my extreme settings of the airport have a place for dns as well.

I do not understand the difference.

Your Mac setting only controls your Mac.

The parameter to your Airport Extreme allows to set any device on your network.

If you have only one device, there is no difference.

But suppose that your family has 9 network devices: two Mac, a PC, a smart TV connected to Netflix, four smartphones for parents and children and an iPad. If you enter the DNS settings on your Mac, this is the only device that will use the DNS settings. But if you enter the DNS of your network (Airport Extreme) router settings, which becomes the default DNS for any device on the network that does not have its own DNS settings entered. You have only to change DNS setting once, not 9 times for all these devices.

For all my devices that stay at home, I get the DNS on the router addresses, and the devices are all set to look at the IP address of the router to get the DNS so that all devices follow the DNS from the router configuration. For all devices that leave the House, I get the DNS preferred settings on those so that they will continue to look at my favorite, DNS settings even when they are connected to the network of another.

  • Problems with AirPort Extreme and Qwest Modem/Router.

I have a Qwest ActionTec 1000 DSL VDSL2 gateway and want to disable the functions of router wireless and those through direct AirPort Extreme. I know that in the Modem I have to disable the functions of addressing and turn them in the AirPort Extreme to avoid address conflicts, but what are the settings I need to change in both devices? And what is "A Transparent bridging" on the side of the modem?

But what are the settings I need to change in both devices?

Sorry, we can't help on the settings for the modem/router, because it would be a question of Qwest as to if this is even possible and if so, if Qwest will support this type of installation. Sometimes the ISP lock modem/router settings, and although it seems as if you can change the basic configuration of the unit, you can really.

Yes, it is possible that another user of Qwest has done with the same modem/router you have and an AirPort Extreme... and may know the answer... but the chances of the person who holds this information also to see this post are slightly above zero. But, I guess it's possible.

If the modem/router can be configured to operate only as a simple modem, then the next step would be to get your Mac connected directly to the modem to test the connection in this way. If Qwest is going to help you, they will do it no doubt with your Mac connected directly to the "modem" as well.

Once you know the exact details of the PPPoE authentication to establish a connection, these parameters can be transferred to the AirPort Extreme and removed from your Mac. To do this, you reset the AirPort Extreme back to default and then put settings in place again. The installer should detect the PPPoE connection and then ask for your login information.  After this, the correct settings apply to AirPort Extreme during the installation.  You can still use the same wireless network name and password you used before if you wish, or set up a new network name and password.

PPPoE on the routers of the airport, at least in my experience, was not a reliable way to connect when I tried this in the past, but you don't really know how well... or even if... it will work until try you it. Unless you really want the airport to distribute IP addresses to devices on your network, things would be a lot more simple if you went ahead and used the modem/router "such what" and then let the airport works in Bridge Mode to transfer information in connection with network devices.

When you have the modem/router converted to act as a simple modem and made a successful connection using your Mac connected directly to the "modem", post back and we can help with the configuration of the AirPort Extreme if you need more advice.

  • Router WLan disabled but I need ACTIVATE WLan

After how many years to have wireless connectivity to our router to my laptop - my father-in-law has suddenly decided to turn it off, forcing me to use a direct connector of the router to my laptop for internet access! I need help!

Is there a way to retrieve my wireless internet!
Basically, I can't get wireless connectivity more - in order to access internet, I have to use a cable that is plugged directly into the router.

In addition, the icon at the bottom of the computer screen which is usually a mini computer screen that flashes - has now changed to TWO screens of minicomputer that flash?

I think it has something to do with a toshiba - called config free program. IM on a limited user account and I see it has disabled the wireless network connection - does that mean that I have to enter the admin account and then change somehow?

    Help.

    > after how many years to have wireless connectivity to our router to my laptop - my father-in-law has suddenly decided to disable

I think you have misunderstood something if the WiFi is turned off in the settings of the router, then you will not be able to receive WiFi signals using the laptop.

You must activate the WLan in the settings of the router (must read the manual of the router).

Once the WLan has been activated and configured in the router settings, you can turn on Wlan on a laptop and can configure the Wlan card settings to make the connection.
