  Hi, I know there are already several post on this forum about similar issues, but after going through most of them, I could not solve my problem.

  I have a HP Pavilion 14-b130sa, running windows 8. Last night I turned off my phone after using it daily for writing an essay, when I turned then the laptop back on about 3 hours later, I could no longer scroll using the touchpad. My phone doesn't let me run or watch pilots synatics 7.5 or all files, as it is said that they can not be found.

  I tried to reinstall the drivers, but this did not seem to have helped. I went through the other suggestions on this support page, but nothing has helped

  I would be really grateful to anyones suggestions, this is a minor feature, but I got very used to and which helps when reading for testing!

  Steps to drain the static charge and load the BIOS default settings to solve the problem

  Step 01. Turn off the laptop

  Step 02. Disconnect the power/AC adapter and also remove the battery too

  Step 03. Press and hold the power button of the laptop for a minute

  Step 04. Now re - insert the battery back in and plug again the power supply/adapter

  Step 05. Start Notepad and keep pressing the F10 key during startup to access the BIOS

  Step 06. Once you get the BIOS, please press F5 or F9 key to load the default settings for the BIOS

  Step 07. Now press ESC/ESC. Save Changes and Exit - Yes

  Step 08. Now, please wait until the unit load the Windows operating system

  Now please download and reinstall the drivers from the touchpad for your laptop on the Site of HP Support

  I have a HP Envy spectrum 13t: 2000 updated the week last to Windows 8 (64-bit).

  I reinstalled the driver of Synpatics several times (finally understood how to stop the automatic updates of windows), but I can still use the scrolling feature on the right side of my touchpad.   When I go into settings it shows that it is ticked, but it does not work. Any suggestions?

  Also, I did something with the touchpad where my screen changes in full screen, but I don't know what I'm doing.   Any suggestions?

  Download and install the latest Intel chipset driver of here.

  Reset.

  Uninstall the current driver for the Synaptics ClickPad and restart.

  Download and install the latest deiver here.

  Check the results.

  I am running Windows 7 on a 64-bit laptop G62. I decided recently to review what programs were running at startup and disabled the Synaptics Pointing Device Driver, not knowing what it was for. After re-start the computer, I noticed that I couldn't scroll using my touchpad more. I have reactivated the Synaptics Pointing Device Driver and restarted my machine, but scrolling does not always work. If I try to open the "mouse" of the Control Panel, it says 'Impossible to connect to the Synaptics Pointing Device Driver'. Continuing, I am told that the Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad "device works correctly. However, I can't change the settings to enable vertical scrolling or allow horizontal scrolling. I don't know what the problem is and what I should do to remedy. If anyone has suggestions/solutions, I would be very grateful to hear. Thank you.

  Nevermind, I solved the problem. Search "Synaptics" in my computer. Opens a folder labeled Synaptics. Selected InstNT. Right click; Choose 'run as administrator '. Problem solved.

  The touchpad on the laptop does not scroll upwards or downwards, I was offline for 5 weeks that my router broke out between the change of operator, so I had to wait for another.
  When I was on the touch pad was'nt working properly. I can't do a system restore, because that would be the former provider. Ideas anyone please?

  First, check the scrolling settings in the advanced settings of Touchpad.

  If they are enabled, uninstall the mouse/keyboard 3rdparty as Logitech or Microsoft and Watcom drivers that may have installed you.

  If it's no good, uninstall the Toshiba touchpad driver, then download and install the latest version.

  All the drivers, you can find on [www.csd.toshiba.com]-online downloads. Here you must search for Satellite A305-S6872 and you will find the driver.

  I use Z460 with E - LAN SmartPad installed on Win 7 (64-bit). My edge of touchpad can scroll upward or down before, but it does not work after changing some launch msconfig. If someone could help me which would be fantastic. Thanks in advance. / Alex

  Have you installed the driver for the touchpad?

  Please do because the standard Win7 driver does not support the extended touchpad options and settings.

  Then, after installing the touchpad driver, you can change the parameters that are in the mouse control panel-> advanced-> advanced-> settings tab

  Recently I upgraded my Windows 7 64 bit OS. I installed all the drivers available from www.toshiba-tro.de and the only problem is that my touchpad doesn't scroll.
  It works very well for the movement of the cursor, but does not scroll upwards or downwards. Toshiba has no driver for the touchpad to the section "driver downloads".

  Anyone have an opinion on this subject?

  I just installed FF 3.6.10 update, and now my mouse wheel does not scroll. I checked my settings of the mouse, and everything is OK. Mouse wheel scrolls in applications non-Firefox, including offline and IE records online. The mouse wheel has worked well with the latest version of FF.   I understand that your TouchPad is more you to scroll with it.  Here is a link for the use and troubleshooting of the TouchPad and ClickPad (Windows 8) that will guide you through a step to try.

  Have you tried Automated fault (Windows 8) research?

  Did you run the HP Support Assistantsince that happened?

  If it was a recent change you might consider doing a restore to where he worked.

  Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8)

  You can also try a Refresh Your PC to solve problems (Windows 8). This will reinstall the OS and should not affect your personal files.  I recommend doing a backup first just in case.

  What I would recommend starting with a reboot of base and if the problem continues, you can reset the settings on your iPad. Despite the fear two-step attention, this does not affect your data. All of your content will remain intact.

  What this does is actually reset some of your settings to factory default. This removes all data and applications, photos or contacts, but it removes all of your preferences for the Wi - Fi, Bluetooth, do not disturb, Notifications, general, sounds, contact ID, brightness & wallpaper and privacy, so we will have to define these things upwards after this reset.

  Do this please go to settings > general > reset > reset all settings.
