Touchpad not working not not on Windows 8

My touchpad does not work after the upgrade to Windows 8 Professional. I have a Lenovo Ultrabook u300s, I think the touchpad is Cypress Trackpad. The mouse cursor does not just move, but I noticed that if I click the button it will be the answer. I installed the latest driver from the manufacturer's support Web site. The only way I can get this job is to remove the driver, but the standard Windows drivers is not the detection of palm. Note also the (F6) key to turn off the touchpad no longer works

Hello

I just had this problem with my laptop windows 8 of Packard bell, I tried different ways to sort and nothing has worked. I went on the settings of my laptop and I had locked my touchpad without realizing account and now it works fine, can be useful to check. I hope this helps.

  • The touchpad scroll not working not not on windows 7.

    Hello

Urgent need help with scrolling touchpad.  Its so frustrating, I have for the top and bottom arrows to scroll and drag is does not work either.  I wonder if I deleted a driver in error?

    Hello

Try the system restore before that happened:

How to do a system restore in Windows 7
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Check with support of the manufacturer system, documentation online or forums that there is probably
Shortcut keys that enable and disable the touchpad functions.

Parameters for TouchPad located in the control panel - mouse (there may be several tabs with TouchPad entered)
and some come with a utility that loads in the Notification area next to the clock in the bottom right.

    ==========================================

If necessary: (make sure that you have restarted at least once, if the above did not work)

Panel of configuration manager devices - mouse and pointing devices - Double click on the touchpad - the driver tab-
Click on update driver (it comes may not do anything like MS is far behind the drivers of certification), now right CLICK
    on the TouchPad and UNINSTALL.

Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself (all in). RESET

This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad from working.

The similar procedure on XP, Windows 7 and Vista is the same, except that we need to clear the specific device if present.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310575

Then go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest touchpad drivers.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN.

    I hope this helps.

  • 7 caused synaptics touchpad not working Windows Update

    Hello

I ran the windows 7 updates from last night on my laptop HP G62-373DX.  When I started my computer touchpad not working.  I went into Device Manager & it is said that the touch pad is damaged or missing.  In addition my Kaspersky anti-virus is also disabled now.  I tried to reset the device and also made a system restore back to before I was running updates.  Neither work.

    Any suggestions?

After talking with support for some time, they suggested I run a recovery, but I could not do this without a mouse (tab would not work to get me through the options).  I don't have a mouse so I thought I'd like to borrow a & then get back in touch with technical support.  In the meantime, I decided to try & get my anti-virus online.  Not sure if this is what fixed it or what, but after I downloaded the update for my anti-virus my touchpad started working again.  Perhaps, that was blocking the installation of the new driver?  Who knows, it works fine now so fingers crossed I don't have any problems more.

  • HP Pavilion - 15-ab045sa: a few gestures of precision Touchpad not working not

    Hello

I'm new to the forum, so I hope I posted in the right place.

My product: HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-ab045sa (ENERGY STAR)

I have all the gestures of touchpad usual work (three stroke of finger etc).  However, the recent to THE introduced a new gesture to switch virtual desktops. I was really looking forward to this update, but this gesture does not work! I tried to reinstall the update with erase everything and it still does not work!

I don't understand why it does not work as I have a touchpad of accuracy and all other gestures of work except this new! Also even if some gestures of work (for example three finger swipe), I don't think that win 10 recognizes the touchpad of precision like under settings of the mouse and Trackpad, what it does not say that I have a touchpad of precision and so does me no options to change what are the gestures, as it should.

I have the Synaptics TouchPad of SMBus 19.2.11.38 driver (21/07/2016).

Would really appreciate your help as I was really looking forward to the new gesture switch virtual desktops.

    Thank you.

Just got an update via windows update Synaptics update to version 19.3.11.37 - it finally allowed me to have the film 4 finger to switch virtual desktops!

  • HP Jet 11 - d 010wm: touchpad not working not

    Hello

I have a HP flow 11. I have upgraded to Windows 10 and had no real problem until I decided to update the drivers (I sent a message that drivers were outdated). I generally don't click on something like that because it causes problems and it was obviously the case.
After the update, the touchpad stopped working. I tried various fixes, but nothing has worked.

At one point, I went into Add / Remove programs and remove the touchpad Synaptics hoping that, when I rebooted, restart located the touchpad and the driver and reinstall correctly. I was wrong and I think it was a huge mistake on my part. Now I can't get the driver to work I downloaded.

Is it possible that I can get the touchpad to work again. I use a mouse and that works fine but not effective for a laptop.

    Thank you

    Alisonf1

There are five drivers chipset on hp.com for 11 stream and one is required for the touchpad work, I think it's Intel series IO driver without the support of connected intelligence.  Who install and reboot and see if that fixes it and if not, install the other four.

  • Satellite A100 PSAAR: Synaptics touchpad not working not not on Vista Ultimate x 64

I decided to upgrade my XP 32 bit Vista x 64 Ultimate on my PSAAR A100.
Operating system works perfectly except one thing - touchpad, which work perfectly under XP, is not answer at all under Vista x 64 (with SP1 of course).

Worse, it's that my touchpad (Synaptics) is listed in as a work Device Manager correctly. Hmm - I don't remember. Meet your possible suggestions - I tried to reinstall, I tried to use the A200 drivers (since Toshiba does not support drivers for Vista x 64 for line A100) and even had the newer drivers from the Synaptics site. Update Vista even me has new drivers - cool, I admit, but it still does not work, even if Windows does not seem to "know" about any help would be very appreciated :) it...

PS (optional problem) I also have 2 unknown according to Device Manager devices - since I have no idea what they are, and because I don't think I'm missing something - I simply gave up on top of those - at least for now ;)

Of course, nobody here the solution for you. :(

Problem is that this model of laptop is not supported for Vista 64-bit. I don't really know what you can try. Maybe install driver designed for A300?

I don't really know. You can use an external mouse with success?

  • Touchpad not working not not Z580

    Hello.

First of all, I hope that my post is placed in the right place.

Since yesterday my notebook computer touchpad (Z580) stopped working after full initialization of Windows 7 (I can use it for a few seconds) so I know it is not a material thing. I've also updated my drivers, still the same problem. And I can still use a USB mouse.

I searched the internet a solution but without success.

I have my laptop for about a year and I'm very happy with it.

    Hope someone knows the answer.

    Jeroen.

Tanks, but since this morning my touchpad started working properly again without doing anything special.
I don't know what started the problem, I tried many different things without success, I also restarted my laptop several times yesterday, nothing worked.
But I'm glad its not now.

    Thank you for your support.

    Topic can be closed now.

    SOLUTION

So guys after a thorough research and troubleshooting, I found that you must keep the opinion of a few things at installation time:

Installation mode: UEFI (only) - LEGACY would create problems touchpad.

After the installation of windows just follow the hierarchy of driver installation

    1 Intel NB_Chipset_M Baytrail-M

    2 Intel i/o driver

then the rest of the shit.

Note: after doing all this make sure your touchpad is active > Fn + F7

Just wanted to if this solution came from an Executive of acer, the world would have been a better place , but in any case this is what the community is for.

  • Ss15 Touchpad stop working, do not show in the devices

Touchpad appearing is not in the device, yes already tried Fn /F7 Manager, reinstalled fix driver: No... He is a recent problem, works very well with Windows 10.  I have read several posts on this topic. • HP laptop touchpad not working not

My laptop computer HP touchpad stopped working after a clean install of windows 7. The LED for white touch pad permanently but fires it does not work completely.

The laptop model is HP Pavilion dv5.

The original operating system was windows Vista.

It seems that you install some or all drivers for your laptop computer's hardware once you did a clean installation of Windows 7.

    Go to http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

If you are able to do with the laptop in question, click the button "identify now.

If, as I suspect, you are not able to access Internet with this laptop, enter your model number.  You need to be more specific than the dv5 Pavilion.  There should be another series of numbers and letters after dv5.  For example, if you have a HP Pavilion dv5-1235dx notebook, you'd end up this page-->

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-dv5-1200-entertainment-notebook-PC-series/3744212/model/3860524#Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930C7

The driver for your tablet would be located under "Driver - keyboard, mouse and input devices."  For the above example, this is the "Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad driver."

You need to install most of the other drivers as well.  If there is a category with multiple choices, such as the driver for the wireless network adapter, you will need to determine the type of device you have by looking in Device Manager.
