TouchSmart ENVY 15-j001tx: after upgrade to TouchSmart win 10 ENVY 15-j001tx laptop PC screen is unresponsive to touch

I just upgraded to Windows 10 of 8.1 and after that I did, my touchscreen unresponsive or work.  I basically have a touchscreen... ugh

I searched this forum and support hp for possible drivers, but see nothing.  I even tried the process of updating drivers 10 win without success.

Any suggestions?

Michael, a friend of HP Tech Support, solved this problem for me today so I didn't not return to 8.1

Solution listed under 301-919-6954 # case

1 was to remove the USB Touchcreen A131 pilot by a technical bulletin

2. go in the settings of the Tablet PC and activation and configuration of the screen as a touch screen

Hats off to Michael.

  • Update Windows not finding updates/East remained after fresh installation of win 7 pro on the laptop of dell d610 32bits.

    Hello

I have recently re - installed win 7 pro on a 32-bit computer laptop dell d610 and after installing some updates it now just says: "check for updates...". "on the windows update screen and the green light just continues to go everywhere for centuries if I leave.

I have also no wireless connection just a wireframe.

I've added a certain drivers from the dell website including an update of the BIOS.

When Windows 7 was installed it has 4 drivers problems / missing in the Device Manager and since the update of dell, there are now 2 problems with

Mobile Intel (r) 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset Family and the controller of the network if I thought I had added the driver for this.

I tried to use them, but they make no difference:

WindowsUpdateAgent-7, 6 - x 86 (I also tried to install an equivalent standalone update for it and he says just looking for updates on this computer and also keeps going and going)

    WindowsUpdateDiagnostic

    MicrosoftEasyFix50202

    MicrosoftEasyFix20179.mini

tweaking .com - reset the registry permissions

Its a genuine product key as it turned on and I think that sp1 is built in otherwise it wouldn't activate.

I tried to solve this for a week now without success any help would be really appreciated.

    Windows Update problem (new)

The following procedure applies in the case of installation (reinstall) Windows 7.  It does not apply to a usual, normal day.

I'm afraid that you will do the reinstall again.  Not a terrible penalty to pay.  Usually takes less than an hour.  Then immediately proceed to the next procedure.   It's strange, but it really does work and many people have proved it.

NEVER install anything other than Windows updates until your system is up-to-date.  Once you have the list update, install all together.  Installation of updates in batches is not expedite the process or do better.

    1. Before you begin to re - install, download (32 or 64 bit) KB3083710 and KB3102810 in advance and store on a USB
    2. Start and end the re - install Windows 7 SP1
    3. Before that the newly installed system can go online for the first time, Disconnect the computer from the Internet.  This chronology is essential.
    4. Install KB3083710 and reboot manually.
    5. Install KB3102810 and reboot manually.
    6. Restore the Internet connection, and run Windows Update as usual.
    7. After a few minutes, you should have a lot of updates to download and install.

  • HP Touchsmart 23-d055: do I need a new recovery disk after upgrade to Windows 10?

I upgraded my 2 years, HP Touchsmart in Windows 8 for Windows 8.1 for Windows 10. It took me 6 hours to run all of these updates.

Now, HP Support Assistant keeps reminding me to create an image of system recovery. But when I run the recovery media creation utility, it warns me that he goes back to the original operating system (Win8). Is it possible to create a recovery image system for my machine on Windows 10?

I know that Windows 10 now has an automatic recovery partition. But I am concerned by the failure of the disk, which would make this unnecessary partition. Last year, when I've upgraded to win 8.1, I had an alteration of the disc that has occurred without known reason. I lost everything on the PC and to restore Win 8, and I've never touched the PC up to 10 Windows free update is out.

I created a USB Win8 recovery disk when I got the machine. This is my only alternative? I suppose that if I ran the recovery media creation utility, it would recreate just the same.

BTW, I know that HP has here a document, but it does on computers provided with Windows installed 10.

Thank you for your help and experience.

Since no one has replied with an answer to my question, I've finally worked it on my own. I learned that you cannot make a new recovery disk system after the upgrade to Windows 10, if you had already created one when you got your machine under Windows 8.x

Context: after upgrade to Windows 10, the HP Support Assistant kept prompting me to create a system recovery disk.  I did one when I got the machine 2 years with Win8.  I didn't replace my original recovery disk, so I went out and got a new 16GB USB flash drive. When I inserted this new drive and attempted to create a recovery disk, the PC told me I couldn't do one, because you are allowed to make a recovery disc by PC.

So it was kind of stupid that after completing the upgrade of Windows 10, HP Support Assistant tells people to do. It should just check itself and see if a disc has already been done. All this anguish for nothing!

  • 700 - 230qe envy: after upgrade to Windows 10, I have no sound

    @gemini2

    Try this.

    1. Select the CODEC Audio IDT high definition in Device Manager.
    2. Select the driver tab.
    3. Click on update driver... button.
    4. -> Select Browse my computer for driver software.
    5. Select-> Let pick me from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.
    6. Select high definition Audio Device (not IDT High Def... that's important...) and click Next. Displays warning message, but the answer Yes.

  • ENVY Ultrabook 4-1118tu: no sound after upgrade windows 10

I've updated for windows 10 (probably my first mistake)

First of all, I got the screen flashing - problem was to restore the computer difficulty settings - this is not the current issue, gives just some information.

Since then, I've lost ALL SOUND.

Not only I lost the sound, but I have no devices appearing in the play sounds option more.

After reading several messages forum - it's what I tried

    HARD RESET - no change

REMOVE IDT high definition codec, restart maching - no change

Codec IDT high-definition REMOVING, RESTART HARD - no change

Downloaded a file sp63932, it says that it was incompatible

RUN HP SUPPORT ASSISTANCE, he said that there is no error and no update

WINDOWS UPDATE - he said that there are no updates

NO SOUND through speakers or LAPTOP computer (obviously, no audio playback device installed) - no change

Tried the driver UPDATE, using devices - get the error message in the image

    I'd appreciate some help here.

Have spent about 4 hours on this now and not getting any where - would just have the back of his.  ;(

    Thank you

    Hi, Erin:

Two other members of the forum lost sound on a computer desktop and laptop PC with the IDT audio controller after upgrading to W10.

What has worked for them was to install the audio driver IDT W8.1 support their PC and driver page.

It's the support page for your laptop.

This package contains the driver that allows Audio IDT high definition (HD) in the notebook models that are running a supported operating system.

  • HP ENVY tilted 23-k000a Touch: terribly slow internet wifi after upgrade to win8.1 - ENVY tilted 23-k000a Touch

I bought a few weeks ago.

After upgrading to win8.1, I noticed the speed of internet was slow, I'm on a connection "Ultra-fast VDSL" yet all downloads by wireless are 15 to 25kbs max.

If I connect the cable to the modem and disconnect the wireless connection, I get 200 to 300 kbs as I should, but then my game of Ryan box can't find my computer, as soon as I reconnect wireless it can.

OK, maybe two questions here, but to start I would like to help to get the connection wireless operating at the speed it should.

    Thank you, John

Have you tried scanning with Capture of Image instead? It worked for me.
