My friend pulled a joke on me by changing my password on my laptop.  He changed the username to a false address, so the password during extraction is impossible and if you believe that he forgot the password.  How to do a reset? In addition, this laptop has no ability to drive.  Ive been told I'll need to open the back of the computer, remove the battery of 'shows' and the RAM sticks while pressing power, then replace all.  Sounds simple, but I know very little about computers, beyond basic user software.  Thank you!

  • Envy Touchsmart m6 sleekbook - the touch screen no longer works

Laptop is only 9 months old.  I did all the updates and then my touch screen stopped working - which was 4 days ago.  Today, I did a restore of the system to the point before the 1st review update (24/09/14).  It still does not work.  It corrupted my driver?  And if so, what is the name of the driver?  How to restore the touch screen...

    Hi raeban,

This is the graphics driver that contains the drivers for touchscreen. Here is the AMD graphics driver high definition. If this does not work then it could be a hardware problem with the screen itself and I recommend you contact HP. You can reach HP Total Care at 1-800-474-6836 in North America or Start here if you live outside of North America.

  • Envy Touchsmart M6 Sleekbook screen works but is not lit

Hey guys. I went to open my laptop yesterday and the power came the keyboard lights but the screen do not have. I was trying to understand if it is a physical problem or a software problem. It turns out that, when I plugged it into another monitor with a HDMI cable, the computer is always on and I can use it. Because it is a touch screen, I tried to use the screen to browse the Internet and it still worked. So, basically, the laptop still works and the screen works (because I can browse the Internet by using a different screen and the touch screen still works), but the screen itself is not lit. This sounds like a software problem or a physical problem? What ideas you guys have to fix? Thank you

  • Can Portege Z20t - I disable touchscreen?

    Hello
I have a z20t-B-107. Beautiful machine, upgraded to win 10, all working very well - I had to download a new driver from Wacom to get the "left click" to work with the pen.

I use it in tablet mode to scan a few data points on a map and sketching with pen. However, when I rest my hand on the screen it 'active' the touch screen and makes things go crazy. I really need to temporarily turn off the touch digitizer and have only the Wacom digitizer running, and if I can switch it switch somehow, that would be useful. Otherwise, I need to use the stylus in a very natural position to avoid touching the screen with my hand.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note, which uses the Wacom type digitizer - it does not seem to suffer from this, as soon as it detects the pen close to the screen it seems to cut off the touch part.

I would be grateful for any help - I tried to search engines, but only, they seem to give results on the touch keys, and it's completely different...

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

I use a Z20t too (but with Win8.1) and have the same problem. I decided to cut the full contact. It is not a good solution, but a good job with OneNote is only with the deactivation of the tactile feature possible.
This is perhaps a possible solution for you.
In Win8.1, I turned off the driver in Device Manager.

    I found here as follows:
    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/w...d55591d?auth=1

    1. right click and select 'All the Apps' in the lower right corner, and select Control Panel
    2. Select hardware and audio
    3. Select Device Manager
    4. Select Human Interface devices
    5. in the list, find the driver for the touch screen. This can be difficult, since on my tablet that they are all listed as "USB Input Device" and there are 3 of them. I found it in deactivating and then reactivating one at a time until the touchscreen unresponsive. You can also identify the touch screen by checking the properties | Details and get the "hardware ID", then do a search online to see what the device is. In my case, the touch screen has the ID USB/VID_0EEF & PID_7302.
    6. Once you know which is the touch screen, disable the driver and the touch screen should no longer work
Enable this device to make the touch screen work again.

  • Disable Touchpad HP Envy Windows 8

I have a pen and press who confuses the computer and think I'm using the touchscreen. Sometimes I do, so I don't want to turn off the touch function. However, when I go on change something, like writing an email or a search on google, the touch keyboard appears which for some reason any is huge - it used to be small.

When the touch keyboard appears, it minimises everything else, so I have to resize my windows again. Its annoying if freaking. I need to know how to disable my touchpad or minimize.

I posted this question before, and a man tried to help me, but what he suggested did not work. I can resize the keyboard, and the little icon to the left of the narrow window box does not have the tiny keyboard.

His work computer, so I can't exchange it, despite everything, I don't know if it's a windows problem 8 or an HP problem. I tried the two forums.
