Trap of HP monitor

What is trap of HP monitor and do I need? I have an Officejet 6500 a and a Pro 8000, both on a wired network (the 6500 is connected only, the 8000 is wireless, but I couldn't get it configured if just plugged). All Mac (2) network are running OS 10.6.8 with current drivers.

When I restart my MacBook Pro it tells me that HP trap monitor has no proper security settings to run.

Can I just remove it or move it out of the folder "startup items"?

Thank you

Hi, please try the following:

Click on the menu go to, and then click computer.

Open the library > StartupItems

Click right (CTRL + left on your Mac keyboard) the HP IO folder, then click on get information

Under sharing & permissions the following:

System = read & law

Wheel = read only

Everyone = read only

Click the gear icon and choose to apply to all included items approved.

Restart your Mac and check if the message has now disappeared.

  • LaserJet Pro CM1415fn: Upgraded IMac and Laserjet now only print in black

Just upgraded my iMac, and the printer now not working is not in color. I see that the software is not available for Sierra implies that this may be the cause of the problem is it? Wish now that I had just updated! Software will be available soon?

Thanks for letting me know @Fosse.

Check the name of the driver that is installed by the printer. Make sure that it shows just the name of the printer.
Click on the Apple menu, click System Preferences. Click on printers and scanners, highlight the name of the printer on the left side and right side of the screen it should show the name of the printer. (Laserjet Pro CM1415fn)

If the full name of the printer is not correctly, delete and add the printer name back from the list. Click on the sign - to remove the driver and then click on the + sign to add the driver might have to drop-down list to select the name of the printer to add a click.

If you still have problems, and that the printer is on a network, just for fun, try connecting the printer with a USB connection to see if you can print in color.

Set up two profiles of authentication in OMNM. ((1) SNMP v1/v2c and used the SNMP community string, I put on the Force 10 switch 2) Telnet/SSH using the switches telnet user ID, password and the password 'Enable' leaving him activate ID empty.

  • Can someone tell me which makes snmp service send a trap event. I mean, snmp does not monitor anything. To send a trap, a person or an application request SNMP to do. Which?

I was doing some research on SNMP and MIBs.Hit a roadblock when this question came to my mind. Windows stores all MIBs under

    %SystemRoot%\System32

I know that these MIBs are used to send traps. I just want to know the throughput, or how it's done. Who reads all this information and provides it to the snmp service to send a trap event? If I need to send traps that are defined in some other MIBs, how can I do it?

Any help will be appreciated. :)

  • Generate SNMP traps for monitoring tests

    Hi all

We would like to test our network management system effectively.

We have configured SNMP. But as we cannot generate some breakdowns that we want to generate some test traps.

Could you tell me if there is a way to generate the CLI for i.e. false SNMP traps?

Ideally, we would like to test things like: excess temperature, the FAN failure, failure of power, etc...

    Any help would be appreciated,

Thank you very much in advance

  • Photosmart C309a series. After starting iMac, trap monitor failed? Why?

How can I solve this info on the screen after the computer starts:

    Hello

The HP software is for Mac OS X 10.6 and not compatible with Mountian Lion, therefore the question appears.

Uninstall the software using Uninstall HP under Applications > Hewlett-Packard, then click on Print & Scan and delete the print queue of the printer.

Then go to Printers\Library and place the HP folder to the trash.

Under Printers\Library enter PPDs\Contents\Resources. You can search C309 folder and put the results in the trash.

Restart your Mac and install the drivers via Apple by following the steps below:

    Laptop shows a program

    Monitor showed another.

I unplugged the monitor. This time seems to have caught in the trap of this program

How can I open program on laptop, which seems to be "preserved" on the monitor

Open both monitors. Move of the program window to the second monitor to the laptop.

To move a window from one screen to another
Click the title bar of the window, and then drag the window to a new location on the laptop

    Move windows between multiple monitors

  • How to open the port 161 on the ASA and Cisco switches for monitoring of BB

    Dear all,

I want to install BB to monitor snmptraps suffering of failure.

The newspaper shows BB cannot connect to all ports of the switch 161, and I even can't telnet to 161 XXX_17f for example.

My switches are Cisco C3550, C2950, etc. of the ASA.

Mon 7 Nov 15:43:03 2011 bbnet cannot connect to the server XXX_17f on port 161

Mon 7 Nov 15:43:03 2011 bbnet cannot connect to the server XXX_9f on port 161

Mon 7 Nov 15:43:03 2011 bbnet can't connect to XXX server on port 161

    Thank you

    Anson

no need to adjust anything in bb-hosts. If you have added setings in bb-hosts, delete them. Also remove associated in bbvar/logs log files. (otherwise, you'll have purple when you delete the SNMP, trap tags bb-hosts)

A column of trap will be that no show until the device sends a trap to BB.

  • PowerConnect 2824 - SNMP monitoring

    Hello

I want to monitor the State of a switch Dell PowerConnect 2824 using SNMP. I have trouble finding the proper MIBS.

Edit: I managed to access the switch through the web interface and am SNMP receives traps as expected.

    2) whose identifiers are available for monitoring: power, temperature, load, connections, faults, etc.? Where can I find the MIB files? Or documentation explaining the use of more detailed?

Advice or documentation links are appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • SNMP Trap Variable alertSystemFQDN

I have a client with a PE r.620 with an iDRAC7 tries to monitor the integrity of their server with interruptions SNMP hardware. They are especially interested in the varbind alertSystemFQDN (1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.4.5000.10.8), which is apparently not defined and appears empty when they receive the iDRAC SNMP traps. Exactly how is set the varbind alertSystemFQDN? It is configurable by the user through racadm, or based on a DNS lookup, or what? I could not find a sufficient explanation in the reference Guide of SNMP for iDRAC8.

    anoryx
I am interested by out exactly this information

It is taken from the operating system. This is the host name in the operating system. You must have OpenManage Server Administrator installed to iDRAC to be able to question the news of the OS.

  • CiscoWorks LMS 4.1 monitor temperature

    Hello everyone!

I am creating a poller to monitor the trap of the temperature of my cisco catalyst 2960 Ciscoworks LMS 4.1.

I created a snmp trap on my device:

    Switch(conf-t) # snmp-server <@IP_server_LMS>SNMPv2c host -I use SNMPv2c

Switch(conf-t) # Server enable snmp traps envmon temperature

I created a MIB model Envmon with these variables:

    -ciscoEnvMonTemperatureThreshold

    -ciscoEnvMonTemperatureStatusValue
    -ciscoEnvMonTemperatureState
    -ciscoEnvMonTemperatureLastShutdown

I created a poller associated with my model, I add my device and when I click on 'Next', I have this error message:

    ###

No instance are in the devices. This could be because the device is inaccessible, the device does not have the case for selected models or the timeout value is low.

    ###

Could someone explain to me why I can't monitor MIB?

Thanks for your consideration and Merry Christmas to all!

It seems that most of the 2960 have a temperature sensor implemented in hardware and therefore, it shows no values.

If a device does not show anything on CLI, it is almost impossible that it will display something via SNMP.

    -Thank you

  • SSM-10 real-time monitoring

Is there a way to receive notifications on ssm module security events in real time, I installed in my ASA? Are some that traps SNMP the only option? Sensor health section has also on the prevention page home/Intrustion ASDM, recovery of events marked as critical "not consulted. How can I erase this? I view the events of the module, and this does not erase it. Does have to do with the product MARCH?

You can use IME to monitor IP addresses in real-time. It also supports the management of events in real-time for IPS five devices. Have a look:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/ps9610/index.html

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/prod/collateral/vpndevc/ps5729/ps5715/ps9610/data_sheet_c78-459033.html

It is freely available to all customers have a valid service contract. Make sure you that you run 6.1.x code to use the IME performance management features.

  • Monitoring VPN connection attempts

I would like to be able to use the syslog messages that are detached from the ASA to monitor VPN connection attempts (successful or not). Looking at the posts system there are several codes that relate to this.

I wonder if anyone has a good way to use syslog to do this? There are some codes that can be used for this information?

    Thank you.

You can set the ASA to send syslog messages when the user connects and disconnects. There are a few types of 'remote access' as IPsec VPN, webvpn / without client anyconnect/ssl vpn client that you can follow.

If you are using Clientless SSL VPN syslogs usually begin with 716xxx.  For example the syslog for connect is 716001 and disconnect is 716002.  There is a list of other Clientless VPN SSL related messages here. You can view the specific contents of each journal here:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ASA/asa80/system/message/logmsg

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ASA/asa80/system/message/logmsgs.html#wp4776913

If you use SSL VPN Client (SVC1.x, AnyConnect 2.x) syslogs usually begin with 722xxx. For example, the syslog for connect is 722022 and disconnect is 722023. There is a list of other customer VPN SSL related posts here

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ASA/asa80/system/message/logmsg

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ASA/asa80/system/message/logmsgs.html#wp4778697

If you use the IPSec VPN client, you can follow a success to connect with 713119 (indicates the phase 1 completed), 713049 (indicates the complete Phase2) and disconnect with 113019. There is a syslog ipsec additional 713049 that you can follow for ipsec.

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ASA/asa80/system/message/logmsgs.html#wp4775678

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ASA/asa80/system/message/logmsgs.html#wp4769539

Here are some other notes to keep in mind:

-You can tell that the logging levels you currently have on the command line ASA with 'show log '.

-Newspapers that you send to a syslog server are controlled with the commands "Logging Trap". For example 'logging trap information' (level 6) or "trap alerts logging" (level 1)

-You can tell what level of severity (i.e., alerts, critical, errors, warnings, notifications, informational, debug) each one connects through this link. As you can see by checking the link, those follow-up sign in or out as I've mentioned above are usually information (sev 6)):

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ASA/asa80/system/message/logsev

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ASA/asa80/system/message/logsevp.html

-If you want to create a specific subset of the syslogs to send to a specific device, you can do it with a class or a list of logging:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ASA/asa80/configuration/guide/m

    For example (class log):

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ASA/asa80/configuration/guide/m

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ASA/asa80/configuration/guide/monitor.html#wp1065253

    class check vpnc informational FRT

    For example (list of logging):

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ASA/asa80/configuration/guide/monitor.html#wp1065512

    log list mylist message 722022

    log list mylist message 722023

    logging trap mylist
