  You just need a classic Installation Vista FULL disc (one for 32-bit and one for 64-bit - each contains all versions of Vista).  You can use these didks to re - install operating systems; However, you must use the product key provided by the customer and only install the same version of Vista they had on their system and which corresponds to its product key!  If they have a Vista upgrade version, you must first install the program original before you can improve it (you can't just install the full product or the key will not activate).  You cannot use the product keys of these two drives on more than one machine at a time - so if the customer lost its product key you will not be able to help them as they will eventually be uable to activate and who will essentially stop the system.  You just can't use an OEM version of the disc (for one thing - it often contains premanente programs and special device drivers you don "t want to be installed and you do not have OEM rights to do as they have agreements with other vendors that include additional software or information).

• HP 530 Downgrade to XP Pro

  First of all, let me say hello, I'm new to this forum and hope I can get help. Google has not just been nice to me on this issue.

  I have a laptop HP 530 business model # H530FFUC shipped with Windows Vista Home Basic Edition. I upgraded the memory to 2 GB and Vista runs very well on it. I like Vista, but some of the software I use at work will not properly work under Vista. So, I bought a copy of XP Pro retail (BONE recommended for our diagnostic software - I am a technician for Ford). This is when the fun begins.

  My first attempts of several mistakes ACPI licence, specifically, facility would hang when loading 'Plug and Play bus drivers ACPI. I had the time this issue by pressing the F5 key for the message of the third-party drivers and by selecting Standard 486 PC.

  That made me the "Starting Windows" message, which gave me a BSOD with a message stop 0x0000006F. I was not able to find a way around this problem.  I did a lot of research and thought maybe the SATA HDD was a problem, so I turned off SATA in the BIOS (the BIOS more limited that I've ever seen menu). This has created a new BSOD in the same place, with a stop error 0x0000007B. I have reset the default BIOS and the original error returned.

  Thinking that maybe it's the drive, I installed XP on a desktop using the new disc and no errors occurred.

  I'm not giving up easily, but cela a really shoot me the rest of my hair. Can someone give me a clue as to how to get this accomplished? Thank you...

  In my case, the installation disc, I received contained SP1a. Apparently, it does not give the facility enough to work with on a HP 530. I downloaded and installed nLite and used to integrate the SP3 installation. I actually did this twice, and that's how I discovered that an installation disc burned on a Vista system will not work, hangs at the entrance of product key, saying that everything you put in there is bad. The second time I did it, I used my stepson XP Home system, and installed like a charm. In any case, here's the breakdown if the classic installation procedure does not work;

  (1) download and install nLite.

  (2) download SP3 (and all the drivers that you can, but it was not necessary in my case, as I had already downloaded the drivers and load them onto a flash drive must be installed after the operating system).

  (3) using nLite, add the SP3, your drivers and make an ISO and burn it to CD.

  (4) start the HP 530, go into your BIOS and disable the SATA Native mode (if you don't have the Windows installation will not find a HARD drive).

  5) restart with the CD created in the drive and the rest should proceed as usual.

• iMac 2012 - sierra installation failed, caught in the loop, please help
