Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows

older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

I've had the computer alittle more than three years now. He began to close in on its own all recently. I noticed the Tower Gets and still accellerated before turning off.

    Hello

Accellerated? You don't know how to tell you that?

Could be heat related - try using a small fan to blow into the air intakes to see if that helps.

  • Satellite Pro started to stop abruptly without warning

    Hello

Can someone advise me, I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop, it is around the age of 13 months, and he began to stop abruptly without warning.
It seems to be when I run high processor applications.

    I have 3 questions,

    (1) it is first of all, this laptop will always be covered by the warranty, even if he is 13 months old?

    (2) is it a simple fix for this problem of overheating?

    (3) I looked online and it seems to be a very common problem with Toshiba laptops, has there been a recall on all models?

Thanks for any help you can give me?

    > 1) the first is, this laptop will always be covered by the warranty, even if he is 13 months old?
Standard warranty covers portable duration 12 months. If you didn t buy additional coverage then the manufacturer's warranty no longer valid.
But in my country, the dealer covers the portable 24 months long then maybe you should ask your dealer for info.

(> 2) is there a simple fix for this problem of overheating?
Well, the temperature could be higher because of the dust and debris inside the cooling rack.
You could possibly solve this cleaning fans and cooling grids. I use the jet of compressed air. This could help you as it helped me

(> 3) I looked online and it seems to be a very common problem with Toshiba laptops, has there been a recall on all models?
This isn't a problem common with Toshiba notebook but unusual for all series of laptops from all brands.
After a while the debris may clog the cooling system because the cooling fans are always placed at the bottom of the unit.
It is advisable to clean the fans from time to time to ensure good air circulation.

  • Windows 7 stops on its own without warning

My pc running windows 7 Home premium keeps stopping on its own without warning - I checked and its not overheating there are a lot of ventilation. I was told that it may be registry settings but don't see why I should pay for a reg cleaner because I do not know if it will solve this problem

A Reg cleaner will cause more problems than it will fix. If the PC stops while using it, then see the test below tools. If it stops while his idle then you will need to check and change your power plan.

First try running Memtest86 +, that runs from a floppy disk or CD and should eliminate or
confirm whether your one or more of your sticks of memory are bad or the values of the SPD in the BIOS are correct.

    Hello

If it's not nice that your machine was throwing the towel, but after your description, I think it would be worthy to check if the adapter still works.

It should not be the motherboard because sometimes just the AC adapter is giving up. And regarding your files on the disk do HARD just after:

Go to an electronic market, buy an USB-drive HARD-external enclosure for IDE drives with 2.5 form factor "(portable hdd´s) and put your laptop hard drive in this case."
Voila, now you can back up your files on another computer.

If you have any questions, just ask.

  • Portege M200 turns off without warning.

    Hi guys,.

My Portege M200 has just developed a problem today. It stops without warnings or information.
Event Viewer has not recorded anything out of the ordinary, I suspect that its overheating issue because I'm looking at the time cpu and gpu using speedfan and PC wizard and they both read the time cpu in the 1950s and PCWiz reads the temperature of the gpu in the 57. But I have no info on the fans is this normal? !!! ?? !!

The fan speed has 1 manual control for a fan (is not one who say, but seem to be the cpu fan) that I now put 100% to test it and see if it stops again. This has been on during about 5 minutes and the cpu temp is down to 36.

I have no way to control the fan gpu or down the temp on this...

Is it possible to test the fans / sensors to determine where is the problem?

Can anyone think of all the other things that I can check or which would do this?

    Thank you guys.

I think also that occur due to overheating. In such cases, the laptop turns off simply without any warning. Sorry, buddy, but I think it's time for cleaning. Here the question how you want to do. Only or it should be done on a career path.

  • Tecra A4 just off without warning

    Hello

I have a Tecra A4 PTA40E when I insist on the system than just, it stops. Does it systematically and without warning however if I just leave the machine on the login screen, it is fine. The problem doesn't seem to be specific to a particular application. It's more a case of if I run too many applications happen.

Someone at - it never had this happen or got any ideas? I'm running the latest drivers and have recently rebuilt with XP and SP2.

These machines contain a stop errors written to the bios when a system error occurs that might give a clue? There is nothing in the event logs.

    Thank you very much

    Hello Huw

On this forum, you can read several descriptions of the same problem and for me, the situation is quite clear: your laptop turns off due to overheating. With the use of the CPU, temperature reached material level critical and mobile turns off everything simply.

It is because of the material. Another way some hardware may be damaged.
It's time to clean your laptop. I don't know if you can do that alone, but the best way is to clean it on professional way.

Have you noticed a temperature higher while gaming?
I guess that the laptop automatically stops due to the higher internal temperature.
This is nothing unusual if the temperature is too high... the laptop would shut down to prevent the equipment from damage...

    Try this:
Go to advanced windows power options and reduce the max CPU performance at 90-95%
In addition to change the cooling method for: performance.

I would also recommend to check if fans and the vents are not clogged with dust...

I'm not sure where you live but in my country, the temperature is currently very high and I guess it's really hard to cool the internal parts and to maintain the temperature of the low laptop

  • Acer Travelmate P253-E load questions

I bought a Travelmate P253-E about 5 months ego for use in schools and for programming and it has been very useful indeed. However, a few weeks ego, I started having trouble get the laptop to charge and I had to turn the charger in a certain direction which seems to change every time I tried to load it. Now, I could still use it, but it was a bit boring. But today I could not charge my phone at all, try everything that I knew worked previously, but without any result. So someone knows how can I fix this? Thanks in advance!

It may be the charger itself. If a friend or a family member has a charger that you can borrow, try to see if that makes a difference. Just make sure that the tensions of the input & output of the charger are the same, otherwise you can kill your laptop!
