Try to burn a cd with XP Recovery on that Console.
I've read various instructions on how to do it, but my 3 attempts so far have not resulted in a bootable cd. Some of the advisers to show how to do it using NERO. I have NERO 7 that came with a new Sony CD/DVD burner, but they show the screenshots is not me. It doesn't seem to be a way to burn a bootable cd with my version of NERO.
I don't have Power2Go, which does not make the bootable CD, but I have to do something wrong. I downloaded XP_REC_CON. ISO, which is supposed to be the recovery console. On a single cd, burner asks for the name of a boot image file, and I said to use the ISO file mentioned previously. That did not work. Cd shows 2 files that I did not add, maybe the burner added: BOOTCTG. BIN and BOOTIMG. BIN.
I tried to use NETWLAN5 again. IMG, as it was the only one. IMG file that I could find in the windows backup. This time the. ISO file appears on the cd, exactly as it does on the computer that I use to burn the CD. In addition, the 2. BIN files.
No idea how I should do this?
If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and don't forget (no support for XP not necessary).
This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.
You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.
The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:
xp_rec_con. ISO
Download the ISO from here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig
Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD (do not install UniBlue or the Ask Toolbar - never!):
Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:
http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61
It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.
You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive. These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load. If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.
When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:
Press any key to boot from CD...
Installing Windows... going to pronounce.
Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.
Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)
You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).
You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS. It's the same as the
C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.
The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.
For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

My computer turns off when I try to burn a DVD with Windows DVD Maker__
My computer turns off if I try to burn a DVD with Windows DVD Maker. It was working fine and now it will not get past a certain percentage without stop. What can I do?
Hello Timbay1,
Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.
What has changed in your environment, as it was working before and now does not work? Have you installed any new software or updates?
It can be 3rd party software created a conflict with your codecs and you need to re - register. You could check and see if you have compatible Codecs installed in Windows Vista.
or you can try to use the codec for Vista Codec Pack - packThere are other 3rd party codecs but I can't guarantee that they will work with Windows Vista.
Please answer back with an update.
Thank you

Reinstalled Win Vista with the recovery CD that I got with my HP Pavilion, now get quick activate Windows with a new product key. MS sticker on the tower is one that says 'Vista', no product key. When I go to activate Windows, I offer the choice to buy another copy of Windows or enter a new product key. A run the Genuine Advantage tool and he says it's "authentic." HP will not help, they say I have to buy another copy of Windows from MS, but I already paid for it when I bought the machine. What can I do?

Hello
Most likely, there is a problem with the CD/DVD drive. You can burn a data disc when
don't use not WMP? Close all programs, put in a flammable disk and use the data method.
If burning a data disc works then you have any add-ons for WMP12?-----------------------

My printer model is brother, 5 in 1, and before that, I didn't the drama with her. After replacing the cartridge in the course of the week, it worked 100% with happiness, seems to have run out of ink until halfway through a page and I can't get black print at all now. I fixed up a spare cartridge black, as I thought it must have been defective, but that one is not printing ANYTHING.
The printer sounds like it is printing, and the sound is normal.

Sounds lke a question of system resources.Large, complex projects can cause problems... it can
be worth a try to create several small projects and save
each of them in the format .wmv movie to a folder on your hard drive
drive. When you import clips .wmv collection in DVD
Machine to each of them becomes a scene (chapter)... you can
have up to 18 scenes.Besides rendering video is time CPU and could
initially be an overheating problem that could also result in your
computer to close.Volunteer - MS - MVP - Digital Media Experience J - Notice_This is not tech support_I'm volunteer - Solutions that work for me may not work for you - * proceed at your own risk *.

HP Pavilion Slimline s5623w - try to find a burner blu ray with hook in case of ejection
I want to upgrade my optical drive to a blu ray burner and the problem is that the 5.25 Bay is not visible on this model of hp. It is mounted vertically behind a grid and the actual eject disk button is not accessible. Is there a button on the case itself to open and close the drive that is controlled by a small wire connecting from the button on the case of a small port at the back of the current drive.
I looked through pictures of every single blu ray burner on the market and it seems that not a single one has this feature.
I'm not a perfectionist, but inconsistencies upset me and that just asking the question... Why this didn't think? I even checked real HP burners-blu ray thinking of course what they would think of this small but important feature... but no luck.
If someone knows any of this a blu ray burner please inform me! I just wouldn't be able to bear have a button that does not work and have to use myComputer to open the tray!
