I try to install the windows easy transfer and I get the error.
I try to install the windows easy transfer and I get the error, "the version of windows you have installed does not match the update you are trying to install. I download and install the 32 and 64-bit version for XP. I also downloaded and tried both 32 and 64-bit version for windows 7.
On which version of Windows 7 you are trying to install Easy Transfer? Easy transfer seems to be automatically installed on Windows 7. You run Easy Transfer on Windows 7 to 'prepare' the copy, you need to be running on the 'old' PC.

Hello tfortexas, welcome.
I recommend to try this:
1 turn off your computer completely
2. turn on the system and start immediately by pressing the "F8" key until you reach a multiboot menu
3. Select "Safe Mode with network" in the list
4. wait until it boots into Windows. This may take a few minutes---
Once in Windows
---1. click on START
2. click on "all programs".
3. click on "Accessories".
4. click on "system tools."
5. click on "system restore."6 follow the prompts shown to restore your system to a date before the problem started. Although the system restore does not target the personal data, it is recommended that you back up all data such as music, photos and documents in case something is not bad.
Let us know,
Thank you!

Hello
1. What is the problem you are having with the Windows Xp operating system that is installed?
So an upgrade on Windows site, it is necessary that you have the same Windows components available on the computer as on the installation disc, until the exact Version.
The reason why you may receive this message could be due to.
a. Service packs have been updated
b. the Internet Explore may have been updated since the version by default XP 6 to Internet explorer 8.
c. the framework of shell and .net of power and other components can be updated.
Please follow the links below to solve the problem.

Hello
Thanks for joining us on the Microsoft Community.
According to the description of the problem you are facing problems with reinstalling Windows XP Professional, and you are to be invited to insert the Service Pack 1 drive to complete the installation.
To help you to propose measures to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:
1. did you uninstall Windows XP Service Pack 1 prior to reinstalling Windows XP?
2. what was the installed Service Pack earlier?
You may need to uninstall Windows XP Service Pack 1 first and then perform the reinstallation of Windows XP and to check if the installation goes smoothly.
Please see the following articles for more information about uninstalling Windows XP Service Pack 1:

I just reinstalled my own copy of Windows 7 Professional and I get an error of activation.
I just reinstalled my own copy of Windows 7 Professional and I get an error of activation. How it enabled? Who can I call?
the easiest way is to use your COA key. (it can be found in your battery compartment.)Unfortunately, the recovery media is AWOLYou should also have an OEM recovery partition that can be used to retrieve shipped from your system to a State. check your documentation or your manufacturer's website for instructions on how to use it. You can also order your manufacturer's recovery disks.

Try to install FLAC Frontend in Windows 7 64 bit, but get error message
Hello
Tried to install FLAC Frontend but get this error message...
The Module MSCOMCT2. OCX was loaded but the call to DllRagisterServer failed with the error 0x8002801c code.
I looked online and saw tips for Vista that said to try to run Setup in administrator mode. I tried and failed with error
The module MSCOMCT2. OCX was not able to load. Make sure the binary is stored at the specified location or debug it to check for problems with the binary files or dependent.dll. The module is not found.
Seen elsewhere on run CMD in administrator mode and typing in what follows - regsvr32 \windows\system32\MSCOMCT2. OCX - hit enter, but I get the same error message as I do run the installer in administrator mode.
I see some online have got it working using the method above, but it could be that I'm not because it is a 64-bit Windows 7 installation?
The file can be found here

This was taken from another forum to help. This solution is simple and works.

WHEN THERE YOU ASK WHERE YOU WANT TO INSTALL THE FILES
REPLACE "System32" with "SysWOW64".
Install FLAC Frontend and it will load smoothly.
Enjoy and enough bickering. Moderators, please be more useful than a verification of the compatibility lists and say ' well, if she's not here, then go the manufacturer! That is poor it helps and is to say "We will NOT help you."
