TUNER NOT FOUND

So I have one installed (supplied with the system) card TV Tuner and it has worked well for over a year and then suddenly stopped working in Windows Media Center. I don't use this feature often and decided to exercise patience, a fix would certainly come from Ms.

That never happened.

When I try and use Media Center TV Setup protocols, he fouls a message "NO TUNER FOUND" well, it really is. Occupies a slot and is connected to a cable modem. Something has changed. Can someone give me a simple answer please? Windows 7, 64 bit, Avermedia Tuner on a bridge.

Worked and suddenly stopped. I allowed Windows automatic update of my windows. Well Yes. When updates are available, they download and apply.

Perhaps a parameter has been changed that hit my tuner off grid?

I ran Diagnostics, troubleshooting, they can't find anything wrong with my Tuner. (latest drivers etc..) They "found". BUT no, apparently of WMC. What has hurt turned, I suspect that it is with WMC.

Thank you

I've chopped it and discovered the culprit.  It is the tuner Media Center is concerned. You see, even my tuner works with other third party software. Unfortunately, when I bought my TV Tuner card, it was a 2010 model is more consistent with the comms shaped FCC NEWS about implementing digital new blah blah blah.  Point is Media Center has been improved in the procedure of automatic download of windows and now IT does not work with the 'old' Tuner. (why the Tuner was so cheap. Just as some people had to buy a new TV when we went to the.)

So, you will need to buy a compatible TV Tuner card of 2012 or later. Simple. Costly. Simple. Planned obsolescence. I bought one, and everything is great!

Also, when I try to configure the internet connection, I get an error message of the MC asked me to restart the computer or contact technical support. Can someone help me with this?

    Hello

I'm not an expert but tuner not found message cannot occur without any reason. There seems to be some hardware related issue and has nothing to do with your home.

If you are 100% sure that everything was ok a few days ago, I recommend you to roll back OS to an earlier time using System Restore tool. Please also check status of TV tuner in Device Manager? Is this all is well?

  • Error: "Tuner not found" with Windows Media Center

Original title: someone at - there a solution to this problem of Tuner not found with Windows Media Center? I tried for several years to find an answer to this embarrassing problem without success.

I did just about everything, including a restoration of the complete system without success. It would be nice to be able to use my Windows Media Center to watch live TV and record programs I would like to see later.

There is a great thread to

Unfortunately, it looks like the only solution people have found is to replace the
    Tuner with another brand.

I don't know if it's the hardware failure or something else, but looking at this

  • I removed a second TV tuner. WMC now reports "tuner not found" when he starts recording. Boring. Is there a solution?

I'm thinking there must be a registry fix just for this.

I used to have two sticks of tuner TV USB in my PC (Win7 Home 64 bit), but one of them went belly.

Now when WMC starts a scheduled recording, I have a pop-up balloon reports "Tuner not found". But the TV very well played and recorded normally.

Is there a simple solution for this? Very annoying. THX.

In WMC, go to Settings/tasks/TV Signal and set up your TV Signal again.

WMC has been implemented with 2 tuners and will continue to be a tuner missing until you set up again.

If you replace the missing tuner, or replace it with another tuner, you need to configure WMC again.

  • Qosmio G50 - TV Tuner "not found service.

I recently bought a model Qosmio G50-420 2 days ago and I tried repeatedly to get the TV up and running, but every time WMC scans for services, there are not found.

I've updated the drivers from the Toshiba site and I even tried to use MediaPortal but this program is not all 'channels' either... and theres a "indicator signal strength' when trying to put in place channels and it displays nothing with all my devices (tv, fm tuner tuner, etc.).

I don't live in a rural area... How do I get all services?

I am running Vista Ultimate 64-bit btw.

    Hello

Qosmio G50-420 is not known to me are you sure it of a G50-420?
Check that the labels at the bottom of the unit there are few issues of model.

As far as I know that some Qosmio G50 models are equipped with the TV tuner, but this isn't the case with all the G50.
You should check if your G50 has been equipped with TV tuner.

In addition, it would be very interesting to know how connect you the G50 in order to watch TV on the laptop?
    A connect to a set-top box?

Please see the manual (page 155) for more details.

If 'he' is Windows - they are not your TV Tuner or that they support.  Go to the manufacturer of the device and see to manually get drivers and the latest software and the troubleshooting steps that THEY suggest.

(* attention *-they could suggest a new installation.)

  • Windows Media Center TV tuner not detected

My current operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2
    (I installed SP2 from microsoft.com)
I have the Version of the Windows Media Center - Windows Vista 6.0.6002.18030 software (vistasp2_gdr.090429 - 2357).  I'm trying to watch TV on my laptop.  I have Windows Media Center and am confused about the version because I saw this - if the version number is 6.0.6001.18000, you are NOT running Windows Media Center TV Pack.  You are running the version of Windows Media Center, which is included in Windows Vista or in Windows Vista SP1.

As you can see my version (numbers) are alittle different on the end, also the info in parentheses (vistasp2_gdr.090429 - 2357) I don't know what that means.  When I tried to configure the tv signal in Windows Media Center, I was told: the TV signal cannot be configured because no tv tuner hardware was detected. So, how can I find out if there is an internal tv tuner installed and everything is not detected?  My laptop is new - 3 weeks, and I think that all the drivers are current.   While they inspected the help windows vista hardware compatibility list for 64-bit vista tv tuners, I was flooded for more information that I knew what to do with.  I'm obviously not a computer genius and will never be.  I'm open to suggestions.  I just need to know what I have to do to be able to watch TV on my laptop.  Any help will be appreciated! Thank you.

    Hi Sockmonster,

    1. no TV tuner appears in the Manager of devices under sound, video controllers?

    2. is your updated TV tuner card?

Step 1: Look for errors in Device Manager

    a. open the Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.

    (b) in Device Manager, look for the device and then double-click the device name.

  • Unable to launch programs error: could not open rtl120.bpl file is not found, try to reinstall the program

Original title: difficulties to open programs

I keep trying to open different programs but get a message that says "could not open rtl120.bpl file is not found, try reinstalling the program.»  My problem is that some of these programs came with my package on the computer and if I uninstall it then I have to pay to re install a new program.  How can I solve this problem?

    Hi JenniferAS,

    1. is the issue limited with a particular program?

    2. what operating system is installed on the computer?

3 did you changes to the computer before the show?

It is a file associated with a program called Tune Up Utilities 2010.

Tune up Utilities is a suite of utility software for Microsoft Windows designed to help manage, maintain, optimize, configure and troubleshoot a computer system.

Method 1: Uninstall and reinstall Tune - Up Utilities 2010 and see if that helps.

    Step 1: Uninstall tune-up Utilities 2010.

    Uninstall or change a program

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/uninstall-or-change-a-program

    Step 2: Re-install tune-up Utilities 2010.

    Download tune-up from here:

    http://download.tune-up.com/TUU2010/TU2010TrialEN-GB.exe

Method 2: I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: During the scan of the hard drive if bad sectors are found, the scanner tries to repair this sector, all available on which data may be lost.

Let us know if that helps.
