Turn off sleep Proliant Microserver g7 n54l

Hello

I hope that this message is in the correct section - closest to you that I could find.

I recently bought a Proliant Microserver g7 n54l and installed a card RS232 and Windows 7 Professional. System works well for the access control software, I installed on it.

My problem: the microserver goes mode sleep after a few hours and must be reported by physically pressing the power button. I disabled the day before, put into hibernation and standby in Windows 7, but that DOE not help.

Help, please?

-are there a setting in the BIOS?

-is it a ti software install

  • Using the option of turning off Sleep

I recently bought an mp3 MUSIC player.  I'm trying to understand the power of sleep off option.  I used it with success in timing the CLIP to turn off after 60 minutes.  However, after having turned off and a few hours later turned back, it seems to have failed in a State in which he has lost sleep (auto off).  Does anyone know if it is intended for a State in which neither automatic nor the power of Sleep off mode is programmed as default?

I too used. Question is... are you asleep to music, radio or a podcast/audiobook? I quite often fall asleep to podcasts... If you do, your auto sleep interval come into play. Power off stops the Clip after a time once he gets paused (as when a podcast is finished) and at this time remains perpetually in fact selected by the user (as useful on the "rocket"). The function sleep, on the other hand, used for music files or radio... that you must reset each time you use. Hope this helps

When I start the server the first orange led, then it turns blue but there is no display!

  • Cannot turn off Sleep Mode

I can't shut down my computer to switch into mode 'sleep'.   The computer is a new Dell running Windows 7 operating system. Before starting to provide ideas, I did a lot of the following options.  I did everything actually to shut down the computer to switch into mode 'sleep'. Any help would be great.

    What I did:

Switching and power operations at never going for both.  Changed element session time in the command prompt to 50000 instead of 15.  Changed the settings in BIOS to S3 and back to S1.

    Hello

BTW, since this is a new computer with Dell Support check, their documentation online and drivers,

  • Cannot turn off option "sleep and fresh."

I can't turn off the option "sleep" and fresh. I did not need, and it disrupts the functioning of my scanner. Apparently, we should have two types of USB ports: with the sign 'Flash' (used for the options 'sleep... ") and normal. I have on the left side of my black ports two laptops and Satellite on the right two blue ports.

I can't find the sign "lightning" anywhere and sleep... ' icon appears whenever I plug the scanner; This happens for all 4 ports. I entered the "sleep...". ' Set up the menu and try to disable this option, but it does not work. I tried to uninstall the option "sleep...". ', but it does not appear on the list of programs, you can uninstall.

We should be able to completely eliminate the options that it is not necessary, but I can't manage it.

    Hi Dan

Sleep and charge option can be disabled in the BIOS settings. Have you tried to do already?

  • Whenever I get up for a minute, my computer turns off is there a way to disable the functions "sleep" and "hibernate"?

My computer used to stay... since I work with clients, my computer work is often interrupted. He is turns off if I stop for a moment and it's annoying to keep back on each time. The function 'Start'-j' looked where you shut down your computer and noticed "Sleep" - who says turn to turn off and saves the info... and "Hibernate" - which goes out and saves the info... but I don't remember always those who are there. Is there a way to disable this option, so my computer stays on?

It is not related to firefox, but I think I can help you:

    1. Click on the stack (if you are connected, there a picture of a plug) in your taskbar (near the clock) windows
    2. Click more power Options
    3. Otherwise, go to control panel-> power options
    4. Click change when the computer sleeps
    5. Adjust the settings so that your computer does not sleep for a long period of time.

  • HP Z420: Turn off the flashing light blue when in mode 'sleep'

The blue light on the front of this workstation mode 'sleep' is very bright and very Bill. I'm worried, it's to keep my dog to enjoy a good night's sleep to to have resorted to turning off the machine.

I enabled / disabled ' Unique sleep state Blink Rates "in the bios, but it does not solve.

Is it possible to turn off that light during the day before?

I can put the Ribbon above but would prefer a more elegant solution :)

    Kind regards

I talked to a representative from HP support via chat that says that it is not possible to disable the flashing mode 'sleep'.

  • After the update to el Capitan my iMac will not be asleep. I put it to sleep and turn off the mouse and keyboard that goes with it, and 5-10 minutes later, he wakes up on his own. Now, I have to stop it after use and each time only. Major pain

After the update to el Capitan my iMac will not be asleep. I put it to sleep and turn off the mouse and keyboard that goes with it, and 5-10 minutes later, he wakes up on his own. Now, I have to stop it after use and each time only. The Major pain. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please test after taking each of the steps that you have already tried:

    Step 1

Take all of the measures suggested in this support article, including those under the title "If the previous steps do not work." It is the starting point for a new effort to solve the problem.

Note that, as stated in the article, the computer will not sleep, if some sharing services are enabled. In the menu bar, select

     ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Sharing

    Disable all sharing services.

    Step 2

If sharing music iTunes home sharing is enabled, disable it or quit iTunes. Do the same with third-party applications that have a similar feature.

    Step 3

    Select

 ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Accessibility ▹ Speakable Items: Off

    Step 4

    Select

     ▹ System Preferences... ▹ ▹ Advanced Bluetooth...

and uncheck the two boxes marked

Open Bluetooth Setup Assistant at startup if...

    Step 5

    Reset the printing system.

    Step 6

    Back up all data.

Triple-click on the line below on this page to select, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination:

    /var/vm

    In the Finder, select

Go ▹ go to the folder...

from the menu bar and paste it into the box that opens by pressing command + V. You won't see what you pasted a newline being included. Press return.

A folder named 'vm' should open. Inside, there may be a file named 'drag '. Move this file and only this one in the trash, but do not yet empty. You will be asked for your password. Close the folder window.

Restart the computer and empty the trash.

  • ThinkPad T430 turn off screen without sleep?

Hello, just bought a T430 here and I'm in love. The keyboard is similar to any desktop and the life of the portability and battery perfectly meet my needs.

With the old T420, Fn + F3 turns off the screen without putting the computer to sleep so you can adjust the settings. However, with the new type chicklet keyboard (which is now a 6-row instead of 7), lenovo seems to have made Fn + F3 to lock the computer. I can't find a way to turn off the screen without affecting active downloads/music/etc.

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you have PowerManager in the taskbar, then you should be able, make a right click on it and choose "power off of the display. If PM is not in the taskbar, open it, select "switch to: Advanced", goto the tab options, then select 'see the gauge of Power Manager in the task bar.

  • IdeaPad u310 turns off during sleep

    I have a u310 ultrabook ideapad

    500 GB hard drive

    32 GB ssd

    Core i3

    running windows 7

I have power options configured so that it goes to sleep when I close the lid. That's how I always put to sleep (I never press the power button or use the option to sleep in the start menu)

The machine will stay "asleep" for several hours (white status on front flashes). Then at a given time (6 or 8 hours later) turn itself off (seeing status led is out)

I looked through all the windows power options and options lenovo energy management to see if I could find the setting that is controlling this behavior but have not turned up anything yet. I Googled it a little, but have not found someone else describe the same question.

I saw this happen while that plugged and not plugged. When I turn it back on, the battery charge level. I thought initially that the battery are dangerously low and it turned off or went into hibernation to protect themselves, but that doesn't seem to be what is happening.

I was wondering if anyone else has seen this happen. It doesn't really seem important now since even when he died, it starts windows in seconds. However, the system is still brand new and new systems tend to start very quickly. If Im wondering if in the future I'll see degrade startup time.

    Thank you!

    Hi Iso,

same behavior with my U310, there is also no Hibernate option to select,

Instead, after sleeping for a few hours, the machine automatically extended.

    This is a new feature.

  • How can I turn off the screen on W4 - 820 without putting it to sleep?

Whenever I press the power button, the Tablet goes to sleep. I know what is happening because, in the power options > power settings button > sleep is selected to "on battery" and "on".

The question is how can I just disable the screen without leaving the tablet to go into a deep sleep? Its a big problem and really frustrating that it stops all make... even a break torrentz copy of data and breaks.

Also I went into the settings advanced under power options and tried to change the settings "turn off the display of", but whatever number I put here, the same is my settings "sleep after".

I don't know how to solve this problem. Can someone please? Thanks in advance!

  • Is it better to turn off my computer at night or put in mode "sleep"?

This is my wife Dell, about 8 years old and using a router in my computer and it is windows XP

Thanks Steve.  I asked the question because my wife has problems connecting to the internet in the morning after she stops every night.  I'll take 3 or more attempts.  His son tech-savy told him to stop, and I said to sleep as I do.  In any case, thanks for your response.

Turn off your computer is a good idea, because it will give him some rest to run all day, cool off, etc..

When the computer comes on, it takes some time to connect to the internet, and according to what age has the computer it might take some time.

Just turn off the computer during the night and the morning market and leave for a few minutes while it loads everything, and when you come back it must be connected to the internet just fine.

Unless of course there is an underlying problem of the internet, in which case let us know and we can work on fixing it.

  • Can I turn off or put the PC to sleep?

    Hello

I had sleep problems and the technician told me to not use sleep often.

I use the PC daily between 09:00 - 14 am (standby) then I usually put on for a hour

at about 20:00 and put it back to sleep.

What the expert said I should do?

    Thank you!

    Hello KarlSu,

While sleep is a useful option, I'm afraid, I'm agree with the technician told you. To be honest I much prefer to turn off my computer when I have finished using the PC. If I know I'll be away from my PC for a period of time, say half an hour or more, then yes I'll use the sleep option, but in general as soon as I finished my session the PC is turned off completely.
