  OK, I know this sounds stupid, but what is the correct procedure to turn off and restart the Blackberry "BOLD"? I hav tried holding in the key power, I get the stop message, press any key to cancel, I leave it alone and the backlight turns off, left alone for 10 minutes and then press the Power button again and the phone comes to life instantly, with the phone in the same position as when I wanted it off, i.e. it looks like it's just in mode 'sleep' as it is consumed in less than a second. I resorted to the battery, but it becomes laborious. And I cannot locate the info in the manual, it says just press the switch! I have also tried holding down until it seems to power off, but alas he always goes in mode 'sleep', please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

  Sorry if this has been requested may already, see booster signal UMA on the 9900 specs, I was wondering if this is a feature included as I intend to do next week when my upgrade is due on my contract. Also while I am here I noticed none of the UK suppliers do the 9930, is there a particular reason for this, and much of a difference does make? I noticed that the 9930 is what is considered a 'phone' and is not the 9900, which does not imply that the 9930 will get a carrier signal in more countries than the 9900?

  The only difference in the 9900 and 9930 is the 9930 includes bands of CDMA network that make it usable on carriers like Verizon in the United States.

• How to turn off the LCD on my T420i screen/monitor without spin mode sleep?

  I have been using an Ideapad Y450 before this T420i. I love the Fn + F2 shortcut that I turn off the screen without turning to the mode "sleep" or sth like that. It still works as awaken, only the monitor is off, it is still continue to play the music or to continue the download. The display should be activated by moving the mouse or type on the keyboard, but only when you click Fn + F2 again. How can I do that on this new computer? T420i? Or is it not possitive to do? I really want to be able to turn off the screen without turning off or turning to sleep.

  On my T400, I can choose Fn + F3 settings, press the combination to see if you have this:

  It is a problem, I think that many have known, but there is no real solution to the problem. However, initially all of a sudden phone has begun to show an error (can't remember not exactly what, but something related to something does not turn) and the screen locked with constantly showing loading circling constantly clock and the narrowing of the battery quickly. what I've done; Hold the alt + right shift + del (twice) to restart the phone. Finally, I decided to restore the Blackberry software (running the latest version 7.1) so I plugged it in to the computer and run terminal BlackBerry Desktop to perform an update failed with this error: "an error occurred when downloading the BlackBerry® Desktop software. Please try again. "and offered to launch the"regsvr32 ole32.dll"in order to connect to the Blackberry server to do the update. tried, restarted my PC, plug the unit again removing battery, replacement and tried again, keep showing the same error. I tried all the advice forums, youtube videos and even troubleshooting I contacted Microsoft (running windows 7 64-bit), server connection module installed and works perfectly still having the same problem.

  I hope that blackberry had a clear answer to these questions and have someone in the customer service who can solve the problem instead referring users to the forum!

  Anyone who had experienced the same problem and found a solution, please respond. your help would be much appreciated.

  The GPU is integrated into the cpu, so the phone would not ring or the touchpad does not work. It is possible that the phone fell or anything that could cause the connections on the motherboard to disconnect, I gave up my 9930 and causes the connector unplugs. Would you feel comfortable taking apart? It's easy, I think you could look up how do on YouTube. I could help you if you are on Central time or Pacific.

  I made the mistake of turning on the password on my 9000 "BOLD" last week.  It took a weekend to decide the security is not worth the pain it causes trying to use my phone for simple tasks.

  So I went back to tools-> Options-> Security Options system and tried disabling "Content Protection."  Activation of this feature, that's what works the password in the first place then it seemed a logical way to Undo my mistake. No luck.

  Can someone give me a hand with this?  My "BOLD" is not defined on any company BES server that I know.

  If you have exhausted all your chances to enter the correct unlock code, is there nothing more, that you can do. Even if you happen to have the right code now, it is useless. Only the factory can now (legally) unlock your BB. In general, I've heard that the cost of having BlackBerry do this for you will be higher than the cost of just buying a new. But, you are able to ask them... see here:

  Note, however, that this process will begin with a tax...

  If you obtained your unlock code from somewhere, but it was incorrect, that your remedy could be with them - however, they may well wonder why you exhausted all 10 attempts before contacting them.

  If your BB was already locked MEP and you got it from a source that represents as that can be unlocked, then your recourse would be with the seller that you got it.

  How can I disable Blackberry initially upwards.  I am running Vista on a laptop computer XPS from Dell.  When I start, it takes forever for Blackberry screen appears on the desktop.  I would stop loading at first upward and keep the program usable when I need, not whenever I start the pc.  Thank you.

  A weird, but I just noticed my icon of world Blackberry app has disappeared from my phone.  It appears as an installed application, but there is no way to find it and run it.  I know that was a problem last year with another phone, I'm surprised if its still a bug?   I know there was a recent update to the world of the app and I backed up my phone.

  Clues?

  In the section using your phone, there is a link to the mobile site to download (or, in your case, re-upload) app world. Just type "app World" in the search bar on your phone and you should see the article.

  If re - download App World doesn't work, then I suggest to connect your blackberry to a computer and the re - download this way. I found that, as a general rule, when an icon that is not hidden disappeared it is best to remove the application your phone completely and then reinstall it.

  Hi, I face the same problem on my 9900 5 days old. The screen touch everything just stopped working on day 2 & it has developed since then.

  I tried the following to correct the problem, but without success:

  1 cold Reboot (battery Pull when the device is powered)

  2. simple reboot (battery Pull when the device is OFF)

  3 remove the battery then, SIM & SD card plug battery and then pull it again & everything put in

  None of them have worked, my version of the OS is v7.0.0.261 Bundle 1346 platform 5.0.0.464 should update my phone software? Whenever I try to check for an upgrade it says that you have the latest being.

  Return the appliance to the store and warranty claim. You can try to update/reinstall OS device. But I think that a 5 day old device should not produce this program.
