Are there other HP file or file windows called scanner of HP who participates in the scan Communication that must be added or tried?

    A short history:

After spending 4 hours and countless computers, printer, router restarts, channel changes etc, on the phone with HP printer support, to solve this problem, I was called back to my firewall provider (Trend Micro) when the product is disables scan works. (Yes, it's the same question that I started.)  As you can imagine made me unhappy...? Since I had already made contact with them for advice on how to configure the product before posting here in the first place and, possibly, appellant assistance from the printer.

The solution was finally trend had me to rename a file in the registry, which, I presume, caused the trend product regenerate a clean version of the file.  As trend firewall exceptions had already been saved, scan over wireless works now! I post the location of the file and registry name, unless you use the identical product etc. to modify your registry database is scary business.

Naturally, because it was just going to be like that, scan network worked, but then the network printer showed offline and I couldn't online despite shooters evil etc.  In the end today I completely uninstalled the product and the resinstalled it and now everything works.  Hard to be too crazy about HP, when, notwithstanding this saga, HP was right to send back me the vendor of the firewall... everyone gets their turn in the barrel of the dysfunction of the technology, and it was mine.

What a striped set incredibly complicated of technologies that we depend on.  Travis, thanks for your help and trying on it.

  • OfficeJet 6700 Premium: cartridges of OEM 933

I was told that this printer is perfect for printing low volumn.

I'm on my third set of ink cartridges, including the black cartridges scence XL that I print almost exclusively in black.

I get about twenty pages until the cartridges need to be replaced.

    It is a joke.

HP Announces hundreds of pages, but you get to price a little and then another ink cartridge. He used ink color, even when printing in black only.

I pay almost $1 per page, with this cartridge.

It becomes cheaper to buy the printer to price low and throw it away when the ink dries.

Select this option.  I tried to download a driver for HP printer, but it still does not print.  Windows does not list the HP Officejet 6700 (7100 & 6500 printers are listed).  Can I use a different printer model to obtain a class driver?

    Hi @katsus98040

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.    I understand that you can't print from your printer Officejet 6700.

I assume you see the exclamation icon is in your connected HP account.  Connected HP sometimes gives a false report that there is a problem not specified with the printer. HP has been able to reproduce the error.  If there was a genuine mistake, the message would point to the problem (low on ink, paper, etc). Unspecified error message does not prevent you to use ePrint.

If I have understood you please let me know so that we can you top and printing.

  • OfficeJet 6700 Premium: Officejet 6700 Premium - Support for direct printing HP (Ad Hoc) wireless

Please can someone confirm if you can set the to either ad hoc printing or using HP Officejet 6700 Premium Wireless Direct. I can't find anything in the user manual.

The situation is that a friend has just moved into his own office with a connection high speed standard with a wireless router, in 'Serviced Offices'. These connections allow broadband to the office and he has to pay for a dial-up connection to the internet.

So he paid for two ethernet connections which probably come out through internet gateway of the complex. However, he lost the ability to print at its 6700 HP that has been previously set up wireless. He tried to install the printer using infrastructure mode by connecting to the network without wire of the complex, but still can not access the printer. It could be that the wireless network is on a different network for LAN connections segment.

The only solution I can think off is to let each PC with ethernet for Internet connection and install a wireless dongle in each PC to connect to the wireless printer. However, as noted above though I can't find the instructions for the Officejet 6500 to print Ad Hoc has nothing in the manual for the 6700.

    Is this possible?

  • OfficeJet 6700: print in black only

I am wanting to print in black only. I removed the color cartridges printer doesn't like that we

So, how can I disable the color cartridges?

    John

    Hi jozz71,

If you are wanting to use the black cartridge for printing, you can follow step 2 in this document to change the print settings to print in black and white:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-OfficeJet-6700-premium-e-all-in-one-printer-series-H711/4322971/document/c04331666

Please be aware that you don't need two ink cartridges to print.  The printer uses little color for printer maintenance.  This interview is described in the document I have attached.

Once the color cartridges is completely exhausted you must replace it in order to print.  After this setting the printer to print in black and white will minimize the used color and make it last longer.

I hope it's useful for you.

Please try uninstalling and reinstall the application. You will need to reactivate the application when you reinstall. The activation code you received earlier will not work, you will need to request a new one.

  • OfficeJet 6700 premium print date and time on the fax history report

Running Windows 8.1 on my OfficeJet 6700 Premium AIO H711n fails to print the date and time on the historic report of the fax.  I need this information to check the box of cylinder head of the fax the documents have been sent.

    Hello dcflorida,

I did not the 6700 but on another machine, I had to 'reset', time and date in the printers preferences.

If you haven't done it yet, go to Settings/preferences/time and Date on the All in One printer set up (once again if necessary).

IF your machine does not have the time / date on the history report, it includes it in the Confirmation page?

Here is the link to the Manual too.

    Other details available on request...

I've had this printer for several months now, I have had no problem connecting to my wireless network and connect computers, telephones and other equipment to this.

A few days earlier, when starting the printer display flashes with the useless error message, error in the printer, turn the printer off and back on.

I have power cycled as requested and received the same message, over the power of the cycle he mentions turning off the power button and no DISCONNECT of the sector. Until then I had never disconnected from the sector. After that I have several attempts to power cycle the printer is off and removed the sector, has waited half an hour and powered on again once.

Still stuck in a loop. He also briefly flashed a blue screen with the error B81431CB. So brief that it is almost useless. I had the boot sequence video and pause playback to read error!

After some research, I decided that she was experiencing problems connecting to the WIFI network. So, I turned the wifi on the router and the printer network started as usual. Internal menus are now available and I can print status and so forth, so at this point I can exclude defects of ink or mechanism.

I went in on the printer network settings and reset the network. I'll also through the printer to factory default settings. I have reactivated the WIFI network to the router then went to install the printer again. Digitized for wifi networks and found mine. Entered the password for wifi and the printer could not connect. Everything is good, correct ssid, signal. Report shows wifi password is incorrect.

I have try several times to connect wifi password is certainly correct, but the printer refuses to recognize the correct password. I tried a different router, the same result. Says incorrect password. Also I tried WPS and a PIN, said still fails to connect.

At this point, I have disabled all security on the wifi network. Bingo, printer connects to the network, but starts with the loop of error mentioned at the start of the tour and turn it back on. This above has been tried several times, the factory reset, everything ok, turn off the wifi security, the printer connects and goes in a loop.

So, at this point wifi is confirmed to be defective. I decide to directly connect a LAN cable. Once the LAN cable is connected, a few seconds later the printer detects the network and goes back into its loop error. It will not just connect to a network via wifi or LAN. He previously worked on the network, and nothing has changed on the network, not new parameters or no new devices.

I connected a laptop to the printer via USB and that seems to work ok, but a USB connection is not ideal and defeated the convenience of a wireless printer. I also tried to reflash the printer in case there is a corruption of the firmware, but the utility detects that the latest firmware is installed and that it is not engaged.

    Now...?

OK I managed to make it work and I will try to explain the steps of my best.

As mentioned previously, I tried another router, I tried the wiring, and I tried to reset the router and the printer. Nothing seemed to work.

Out of curiosity I just put my phone in a WIFI AP. Tried connecting the printer and it worked. The printer connected to the WIFI phones.

So I know that the printer works on at least one access point.

Thus, in the settings of the router and firewall. The only thing enabled in the firewall have been

    IPv4 firewall protection

  • HP Officejet 6700: Officejet 6700 constantly "checking device.

My Officejet 6700 premium is connected wireless to my home network.  I have a strong signal to the printer. I have a desktop computer and a laptop running Windows 8.1 and a laptop running Windows 7. The printer ALWAYS shows (for over a week now) reads, "checking device. This process may take several minutes. Not turn the unit off, do not open or close the doors.  It will print a page or two, but if the print job is on 3 pages (or I wrap several jobs page) it leaves impression and gives me an error. My inclination is to unplug the printer to reset it and see if that fixes the problem, but the display says specifically not to do.  I pressed the Red "X" next to the screen, but the screen says while the verification process can no longer be interrupted.  Help!

That fixed the problem of 'Device of control...' » !  Here is what happened:

    (1) when I open the print cartridge door, the screen has said, "the door is open, etc" then when I closed the door the printer returned to 'control device '. »

    (2) when I hit the power button the display text, "maintenance cannot be stopped."  (She seemed very confident of this. Maybe she didn't know she could be disconnected.)

    (3) I have disconnected the power cord at the back and the decision-making and let stand for a few minutes, then plugged into the printer, then exit. The printer is back and initialized itself and then raged at me to unplug his: "Use the power button to turn off, do not use a power strip, etc."

Thank you!  However, it always not print an entire document.  I tried to print a doc of a page in five copies and printed four and a partial, then gave an error.  Any ideas with this problem?

I followed the instructions on reprint the code of request but were unsuccessful. I constantly get a message that my printer is unable to conect to the server. Hey @bhigh904,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

I see that you are unable to activate the services Web on your HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-all-in-one printer. I would like to help.

When users encounter this type of problem, I usually suggest from scratch with the radio of the printer and webservices configuration.  You can clear all of these parameters in a swoop by the factory default restore * your printer.

    Here's how:

    * Note that this step resets the setting up your printer wireless, address ePrint and other custom print settings. If you have created a custom address @hpeprint.com it is permanently erased. For more information about custom addresses ePrint, click here.

    • The printer's front panel, press the Setup/key icon and then tap tools
    • Select Restore to factory settings

Then, touch the wireless icon () and run the Wireless Setup Wizard to restore your network connection.

Make a note of the IP address of the printer.  Then, follow these steps to configure a manual DNS:

    • Enter the printer's IP address in a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer) and press ENTER to go directly to this page.
    • Click the network tab.
    • In the submenu on the left, click Networking.
    • Then click on the network (IP) address.
    • Click Manual DNS server.
    • DNS preferred as 8.8.8.8 manual entry
    • Auxiliary DNS server entry as 8.8.4.4
    • Click on apply to finalize this change.

Then, press the icon of Webservices () and reactivate your webservices (necessary for scan to e-mail, ePrint and other features).

Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post.  If I helped you to solve the problem and that you liked this post, feel free to give me virtual accessories by clicking on the 'Thumbs Up' icon below and by accepting this solution.

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support. Have a great day!
