TX reset not hard

I tried to reset hard my TX without success.  Can someone help me?

Make sure you follow the directions exactly as shown.  If your timing is off, it will not perform properly.

To perform a hard reset: (Palm Knowledgebase article #887)

By now the power down button, press on and release the Reset button on the back and continue to press the Power button. When the gray Palm logo is displayed, you can release the Power button.

You should now see the warning in 5 languages page. Press the direction upward on the 5-way keypad to perform the task. The Palm restarts several times as it re - install the original programs and erases all data from your previous.

As the title says. I was running ICS with a lot of battery drain and the power of questions (it stops and I have to type the back where the battery is so he can come alive) so I hard reset with davlik using CWM. After that it will not install CWM more so I can go back to gingerbread. It was OK for a few days but I woke up this morning and it won't turn. I had to remove the back cover and uninstall the battery cable and reinstall. I tried to reset hard once again and it's always the same box open with android and that's all.

I have not had any problems with 2.3 other that it's slow. If someone could help and make me install Gingerbread once again, please. Just tired of the problems of power with ICS. Thank you.

    I found the problem.

My prototype was serialize objects to/from a FileInputStream and FileOutputStream.  These streams support not "mark and reset. so read the remains of pof nested wasn't working properly.  Once I changed the prototype to serialize a NamedCache... everything worked as expected.

  • Qosmio X 500/00 X System Recovery (Factory Reset) of hard disk or separate disc

    Hey guys,.

Looking for your advice and all the links if it is... Congratulations in advance

    My Situation

    In December 2009, I bought a Toshiba Qosmio X 500 - model No. PQX33A-00X00J

At the time, I improved my purchase at Toshiba dealer BD4U, ranging from the standard 1 x 500 GB Sata + 1 x 64 GB SSD... to be rather 2 x 500 GB sata drives. I bought with 3 year next business day warranty onsite, which is is now expired.

It came loaded with MS Win 7 Premium Home Edition - but not the provided disks.

    My needs

    1. I need/want to reset my PC - its starts to run slowly
    2. I need re-partition of my existing 4 x partitions to just have 2

    Questions

    1. Perhaps as a result of the upgrade hard drives at the time of the purchase, I don't think I have a hidden partition restore to recover a system from hard disk - see attached image of my current partitions
    2. I have Win 7 OS installation discs or Toshiba Driver like they must have been installed by Toshiba

    My Questions

    1. Do you think that I don't have a recovery Partition - looking at the picture of the partition? I'm confused on this point coz say hidden sound!
    2. Given I have no disc Toshiba disk drivers or the operating system Windows 7 - what should I do? I think to download Win 7 (use my sticker under PC product key) and to make a disc/USB (but you have to learn how)
    3. This is where I get all of THE necessary Toshiba drivers for my PC from?
    4. Toshiba provides a link on its site and instructions on where to find Win 7 so that I can make a recovery disk?

Tried to send a Toshiba, but in step 1 of their process e-mail validation failed because my PC is out of warranty so will call Monday for the

    Hello

When you buy the new laptop with preinstalled OS (factory settings) original recovery image is saved on the HARD drive. On some older models, it was recorded on the second partition of HARD drive and it was visible in Windows Explorer. Toshiba later saved this recovery image on another hidden partition. This partition was not visible in Windows Explorer, but it is visible in disk management and unregistered.

With the factory settings, each owner of the laptop is able to create recovery media (DVD) and use it later if HARD recovery disk image installation is not possible. In the user s manuals document described how all this works. Please note: the product key from the sticker belongs to the original version of Windows and cannot be used for activation when you install the version of the OS by using Microsoft disk.

I can see this recovery partition is not available on your Qosmio laptop and recovery image installation is not possible.
    Now, you have two options:

Recovery image installation 1 / original
2 / Windows installation by using the Microsoft installation disc

If you use option 1 you should try to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider in your country and ask if you can order the original installation disc of recovery. Of course, it is easier to have factory again.

Option 2 is more complicated. You must install the version of the OS and also install all the necessary drivers, tolls and the utilities manually one by one. Download page for each of them you can find on Toshiba (link is the right one).
It is not so complicated and you can do it alone and we can help you. As I already wrote for the activation of the operating system you need valid product key.

If you have further questions do not hesitate to ask.

  • "Compress old files" not reset not in Windows XP

After running Disk Cleanup with "Compress old files" checked, it shows still 79K. I rebooted and represented the disk cleanup, but still the 79K.

Why the amount has not been reset to 0K?

What would you choose to compress old files?

Do you know what he does, how he does, why he does it and what are the consequences?  Most of the people do not - they choose just because it "sounds" like the right thing to do or it "could be" a good idea.

A popular complaint from users is when they choose that option, their system seems to stop, maybe for hours while XP trying to understand what are the "old files" and what to do about them.  How do you know what is an "old file" and what happens if XP think files are old, but they are not old to you?

The files more that you have on your system as much time it take and he can just stuck forever and never end up (or you might get tired of waiting).  If you have 1 million files on your system you can wait very long for cleaning disc finish or it can never end.

And - if Windows find files to compress and that part works, and something you do on your system later needs these compressed files, they have to be unzipped before they can be used.  This will make your system run slower (while you wonder why it is and what to do about this).

Here are some ideas to consider involving all withdrawal that disk cleanup option - then your disk cleanup will run in a Flash:

Disk Cleanup runs slowly, the most likely reason seems to interrupt or uses excessive CPU is usually due to the option compress old files.

Compress old files comes from the good old days, when hard drives were weak and slow, and he had to each byte, you can get on your hard drive for programs and things.  Today, thanks to modern technology, it is almost superfluous.

Compress old files is supposed to compress the files "have not accessed for a long time" I never found someone who can explain what "were not consulted for a while" means.  What is 'a bit' to XP?  A week, a month, a year, 5 years, is it and how can we change it if you wanted to?

If you want your clean disc to run faster, I would just remove the option compress old XP disk cleanup files since it is known to crash or give the illusion of being hanged.  If you have 1 million files on your system (or even a few hundred thousand), you wait very long when you run disk cleanup your system may appear to be hung (and maybe it is).

I really don't think that with the technology available today that compress old files is necessary.  It would also slow down if XP needs unzip a file.  Besides, nobody seems to be able to tell me at what age an old file is in the XP terminology... what was simply a file become old?

To get the best performance, I just remove this 'feature' and never see him again, and then disk cleanup runs in a Flash because it didn't get old files to compress (some old way).

That adjustment will reduce considerably this time it will take your disk cleanup to run (I mean a lot).

It is a 'problem' for some systems that Microsoft has done an article on how to disable it (mine is disabled).

  • How can I reset (not repair) Photos

    Hi all

I have multiple problems with Photos at the moment. I have about a library of 25,000 weighing 180 GB. It was originally and iPhoto library, then an Aperture library and now photos. He was until a few weeks ago the synchronization of photos of 25,000 to my iOS devices. However, now it syncs only 22'000. I tried, repair, removal of Cache and even import photos to a new library. Always on 22'000. I know that there are more pictures than that because I exported manually all at a very low quality jpg (takes too long otherwise) and I'm back to 25'000 again.

Among other things, in spite (painfully the jump) and delete the iPhoto 'album' events also still sync with my iOS devices, but they do not exist in my library of over?

Time to reset the * thing and start over. Anyone have any ideas?

Key points are: photos and their metadata (Inc., time capture, location and peripheral) must be kept. It would be a pity to lose key words and faces, but I can live with that.

Most of them are Raw files that have been published elsewhere were (the files are consolidated) but the exporting and importing countries will fall with this size library.

Can't wait to hear the responses! Thanks for your help!

    Sam

Here's a simple way to start over with a new library and import the original/master image files which have been imported into your current library. They keep all of the EXIF metadata located in the original files.  All other metadata, IPTC added photos, projects and other organizing efforts will be lost.  And you will lose with all the event represented by albums in the new library, as described in this thing of iPhoto: Moments in Photos are new events

Starting Over from scratch with a new library of Photos.

1 - Launch Photos with the hold Option key and create a new library.

2 - Open your old library with the Finder package as shown in this screenshot:

    3. Locate the master file in the old library and drag it on the Photos icon in the Dock.

This will create a new library with the same time as the original library, but will not include the metadata, albums, slideshows of books and other projects.

Note: your current library will be left for subsequent attempts a difficulty if you wish.

Once the completed import check to see if the new library all your photos and work correctly before you remove the old library, problem.

DISCLOSURE: Personally I am not a supporter of the iCloud library because it requires having to buy storage and is a bit slow to respond to printing and using files of origin in slide shows, books, etc.  I have also no need to have all 30,000 of my photos on my iPhone.  This is why I do not recommend to use it.  I also know I'm not the target audience for the iCPL - too old.

    Hello
I'm stuck on the screen on my computer for my Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit edition. The password to the user account has been lost, and now I am unable to access my computer. I don't have a created password reset disk so I can't reset the password. I searched these forums and seems the most effective way is to run a system restore to a time where I did have a password for my account. Fortunately for me, I did an automatic update of Windows that created a system restore point literally moments before I put the password, so I should be able to get access to my computer once I figured out how to get system restore to work. The advice I found on other forums do not seem to work, because I'm in my Windows vista operating system disc, but no screen is coming up with 'Repair your computer', which indicate the steps happen. I need assistance to find another way to run the system restore on boot menus/Vista/DVD CD. Thank you.

Go to Bestbuy or other PC shop. They can fix it for you. (Could I have so I am not allowed to post these alternative instructions.)

    Hello

    You are welcome

First, use another PC to create a bootable Windows 10 DVD or a USB Flash drive via the following link.  Under the section "Imperative to create a cable USB, DVD or ISO", download the media creation tool.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/Windows10

Once you have it, run the tool, select 'Create the installation media for another PC', then select the language edition of Windows 10 and 64-bit.

Follow the rest of the guests to create this and then click on finish when done.

Insert the Installation of Windows 10 support and stop the laptop by pressing the power button for 10 seconds.

Click next to the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to enter the Boot Menu, and then select the Boot Options Menu ( f9 ).

Use the arrow keys to select CD-ROM or USB key, depending on the type of media you created, and then press ENTER - if you are prompted to "Press any key to continue...". "- make.
