U330 Dual Monitor HDMI Connection

Someone has some advice on the implementation of a screen via HDMI for dual display on a computer mobile u330? Second, if the monitor has not just speakers run sound through the speakers of the laptop as usual?

And finally, anyone has any experience with the brand Hannspree (Hanns G.) monitors? Trying to figure out if theyre good quality since they are reasonably low price compared to brands such as LG and Samsung.

Thank you

(1) Fn + F3 and Fn + F4 are used to manage the external monitor options.

(2) you can play the sound through speakers to computer

(3) never heard of this brand in Russia

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about the use of the video taken two DVI and VGA and wanted to help.

According to the technical specifications of HP for your PC, both of these jacks can be used at the same time.

    Good luck

  • The main screen becomes secondary in a Setup dual monitor (DVI-HDMI)

Original title: WINDOWS PROGRAMMERS: problem with OS Windows7 not being not able change the numbers of identifiers when using multiple screens and HDMI

To be clear... This problem is with the Win7 OS - no video card GUI that allow to change number ID display on multiple monitors.

Problem with several screens and the use of HDMI cables substituent and #1 assuming that for its corresponding display view identifier.

    Not always ID desired.

But there is no way to change this.

    EXAMPLE:

Monitor is configured as primary display (ID #1) using a DVI cable

Then I connect my SONY Bravia or my LG HDTV displays using HDMI cables, the new screen automatically takes over as the display identifier #1 and the monitor becomes identifier #2.

-This introduces to the identifiers is not something I want, need or want to deal with every time I use several displays. And it creates problems.

There is NO way to correct or modify the identifiers.

Please provide a FIX as soon as possible if you have an ounce of concern for the customer service.

The solution can be as simple as:

GO to THE control panel - appearance and customization - display - change display settings:

Right CLICK... on one of the displays in the window to the left of "Detect" / "identify."

Then the OPTION 'Change display login' with a list of relevant identifier numbers according to the number of multiple connected screens.

    Click 'apply '.

    CLICK ON 'OK '.

and Voila! View identifiers are defined.

    Hi Jean-Pierre.

Thank you for all the information related to the issue.

This problem may occur if the display of the configuration settings dual monitor retain the configuration. Possible reasons could be installed on the computer outdated display driver.

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer or the graphics card?
    2. Are you using double display card? Sometimes changing the display settings for the display cards might solve the problem.

First of all, if you have a display of the map or media panel installed on the computer, go to the control panel and change the setting under multiple display change. Assign the identity number according to the status monitor, then check if it retains the configuration when you restart the computer.

Additionally, make sure that you have installed the latest version of the display driver for Windows 7 from the website of the manufacturer of the computer. Sometimes, if the driver is not being updated, the setting may not keep the entire installation. See the link to know how to update the driver on Windows 7:

  • Satellite L650 - HDMI connection for external monitor

I've linked the laptop to my Sony LCD TV via HDMI, no problem. I have a (Acer, 24-inch) LCD monitor that has a HDMI port also. I used it to play ps3 and xbox360 via HDMI connection, no problem. I have two lines HDMI 1.3. The two lines are working without any problems.

However, when I connect my laptop to my LCD Acer just external LCD monitor can t work properly. I can barely see what is display on the monitor, very snowy. It's hard to describe. I took a photo but don't know where to download it here.

I tried both HDMI lines, but both failed. I tried to change a few settings in the laptop, but nothing makes any difference. I'm looking for the driver for video card on the Web from Toshiba website and found that my current license is updated.

I'm not a tech geek, but I think that I don't know something on the computer. Am I missing something here?

Guys (and girls), please throw in an idea (tooth tell me to check if the connection is good, I don't already).

    Hey,.

If you connect your laptop to external monitor and press the FN + F5 key combination what happens exactly? Pressing the FN + F5 key combination shows different options and you should test with external monitor only (not the clone image). If you work on external monitor doesn't do this work?

In addition, you must connect the devices before starting their.

Also, take a look in the BIOS and try to load the default settings. Make sure that that the HDMI cable is connected before starting Windows and check the status again.

By the way: what operating system are you using exactly?

  • E-mail and calendar will not connect on a dual monitor system.

I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid-2012) running on Yosemite 10.10.5.  I currently have a system of dual monitor hooked up with an Acer monitor (version: AL1916W Abd ~ Jan. 2008).  When I use this monitor as Desktop 2 and move my apps to email and calendar to this office, I suddenly find that mail will not receive any new messages very well and the calendar will often lose the connection and does not update to mobile.  I thought maybe of interference on the WiFi, but Google Chrome runs on the desktop at the same speed as on my laptop.  Perhaps it is still a form of interference, but I don't know what is the cause or how to fix it.  Perhaps the monitor is too old and now is not compatible with my operating system?  The monitor is connected with a VGA XAVIER to converter Thunderbolt and a VGA cable normal VGA.

  • HDMI male to male or male to female? Also question of dual monitor

I have a Dell XPS 8500 desktop computer and a NVIDIA GE Force GT 640 video card and a couple of monitors, I want to connect.  One of the monitors is a Dell ST2320LF monitor that has DVI, HDMI and VGA ports on it.  It came with a VGA cable that I currently connected DVI-d port on the desktop via an adapter.  I have a second monitor, an Acer with VGA cable I want to plug into the DVI port instead (by adapter) and get a HDMI cable to use for the Dell Monitor instead.  Two questions.

    (1) I can just plug the two monitors, one through the DVI and the other through the HDMI interface, and they'll both work?  I got the impression that the 8500 XPS is preconfigured to manage two monitors, but I don't know if I need to do something special after plugging the.

    (2) what kind of cable HDMI do I need for my monitor?  Male/female or male/male?

    Thanks for any help.

I have the same arrangement.  The monitor with a HDMI connects to the HDMI from the map and becomes the primary monitor (determines the shape of the BIOS boot screen.  The HDMI cable is male, the standard thing, you get to your TV. The second monitor plugs into the card DVI plug using the adapter as needed.

You may need to change the properties of display of Win7 or Panel of comtrol nVidia (right-click on the desktop), but obviously when you open the control panel. You do not need to play with the BIOS and Intel parameters, both monitors are supported by the video card straight out of the box.

  • Dual monitor installed on Inspiron 3487

I'm reposting this question here posted with no luck in the Dell Forum of bureau-video community. BTW, my OS is Windows 8.1 64bits.

I just bought a Dell Inspiron desktop i3847-5386BK and I am trying to achieve a Setup dual monitor with 2 monitors 24 "widescreen LED Dell E2414Hr.

The specifications for the detailed but photos also Office of front, back and inside the computer are here:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16883156238

Basically, the Office has 1 VGA port, 1 HDMI port and multi-port USB 2.0/3.0

Specifications for the monitor, but also detailed photos are here:

    http://www.microcenter.com/product/420579/e2414hr_24_widescreen_led_monitor

Basically, the monitor has 1 VGA and 1 DVI - D port

The first monitor is already connected from the port VGA monitors to the VGA port of the desktop computer via the VGA cable supplied with the monitor.

My question is about the best way to connect the second monitor. One option is to get a HDMI cable at one end (office) and DVI - D at the other end (monitor). The computer will be able to manage this dual output and adjust automatically to both monitors or it will require some changes of setting? The computer lacks a dedicated to my knowledge graphics card and my main goal is to use these monitors independently with occasional extended desktop display.

Also, are there better options for the office monitor the connection in this case as a (office) HDMI to VGA (monitor)? I saw online that the HDMI cables at one end and VGA on the other end could be a scam because it is not possible to convert a digital signal to analog without converter, but also there are people who say this type of cable works fine. Are there better options to connect the second monitor using the USB ports on the computer? Given that one of my monitors is already connected via a VGA cable VGA will be the second different monitor everything in terms of brightness, readability etc if it has a DVI - D instead of VGA input? Finally, what would be a place to get the converter/cable recommended discount?

Sorry for the post of multiple question since a long time, but any help on this would be much appreciated and will help other institutions. Thank you in advance!

Computer output VGA--> VGA cable VGA--> #1 E2414Hr VGA in
Output HDMI--> HDMI to DVI cable to computer--> 2 # E2414Hr DVI in

Once connected, open the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel and configure the second monitor.

  • Installation of the driver software window opens on the second monitor in a dual monitor extended installation of the monitor

The "Software Installation" window will open on the second monitor in a dual monitor extended installation of the monitor

I have a dual display setup. A 225WS 1680 x 1050 monitor LG is connected via a VGA cable and a VGA - DVI converter to a DVI port on a Radeon 6850 video card. The second screen is a Samsung HDTV set at 1920 x 1080 and connected via HDMI on the same video card. I have set up the screen LCD as main monitor and the Samsung HDTV as the extended display. HDTV is most of the time, but I use it at least once a day. This isn't a driver problem, because it happened also when I had an old Nvidia video card and it is fixed by a new installation of windows and setting up of screens from a square.

The installer works great almost all the time except when I try to use some programs or Windows functions (7). When I try to start the MozBackup application or I pop in a new usb device and click on the notification bubble, both these windows (MozBackup and the "Driver software Installation" window) open in the center of the HDTV as opposed to the LCD (which is defined as primary). The problem is that the views are ~ 3 meters out and HDTV is mostly off.

I sent a bug report to the developer of MozBackup because this part is perhaps a problem with its software or what old Windows functions and hooks it uses, but the window "Installing the driver software" (or who knows what other program Windows Basic) has exactly the same problem and is part of Windows.

What can I do about it? I DIDN'T put the displays in any mode "clone" to have office in mirror between them. Is - this fixable somehow? I guess that is not a problem with the video card drivers because I used two different video cards with either the manufacturer or windows update drivers and the problem is the same.

I'm talking about a window similar to this one

Your computer has a DVI - D and VGA outputs, monitor HP 2311 x has HDMI, DVI and VGA inputs... and HP vs19 monitor that has a VGA input. The computer bundle should have come with a DVI and a VGA cable... Connect the DVI cable (more great shape of rectangle) of the computer on the monitor 2311 x and the VGA (more small "D" shaped of) cable between the computer and the vs19 monitor. That should be all you need.

    Hi ManajitSengupta,

You want to hope that it is not a compatibility problem, because that could leave you a GROUND for a solution. Assuming that everyone even working on a solution. I had a few problems after the upgrade of Vista that never existed when running the Windows 7 RC on the same computer. The cause of a problem is not necessarily in a straight line between Win7 and the problem device. The only things I can think of now are the driver/software standard, tedious, technical troubleshooting. Starting by ' screens exhibit the same behavior when a simple SVGA driver is all that is installed? »

  • Dual monitor problems / external

I recently bought a netbook NB200/007 and want to use two monitors (mainly for display of pictures etc on larger screens)

It came preloaded with Windows 7 starter, after having found that the Starter edition did not support dual monitor that I've upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium, but I'm still not yet to make it work.

When the external monitor is connected, the netbook picks it up and sets up two monitors, but the external screen does not light (it remains in standby mode) I tried several different resolutions and also tried to use the external monitor as a single screen by selecting the option to have it as my main screen.

If anyone has a suggestion of how I could get it to work, I would greatly appreciate.

    Kind regards.

  • Qosmio G50-129 no sound with HDMI connection

    Hello.

I have a Quosmio G50-129. Recently, I tried plugging it into my Sony Bravia LCD TV via the HDMI connection.
I have video output but there is no sound on the TV.

I tried to set the HDMI as audio device as default and the sound level meter in the sound properties panel appears to show activity, but nothing comes out.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

I m not Qosmio G50 owner, I only have the small F50, but it must be identical to yours I think. So first of all, I must say that I never had a problem with the HDMI connection. Everything has worked perfectly since I used the HDMI connection, the first time

In any case, if you connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV using the HDMI connection, connect the cable first. After this power on the TV and select the HDMI input right channel. Then go on your laptop and if you press FN + F5, you can change between the different options.

Normally the HDMI output is automatically set as the default audio device, not to follow these workarounds with good screenshots:

  • Satellite A-L50-1DF - sound distortion using HDMI connection

    Hi all

Recently, I bought a new laptop, a Toshiba Satellite L50-A-1DF.

From the beginning, I experienced problems with the HDMI connection.
When I connect my laptop to another monitor via HDMI more often than not, the sound is tinny and slightly distorted.

When I unplug the cable and put it in a few times, most of the time solved the problem.
I used different HDMI cables and different monitors with the same effect.

Other laptops work fine with these cables and monitors.
I reinstalled the drivers to display without a bit of luck and will eventually be sent my laptop in for repair.

Unfortunately, the problem was not found when they looked at it and I'll it back without a repair.

I have no idea what could be the problem, because it is not found by the repair team.
The customer service is unfortunately reluctant to me more help.

Can anyone think an explanation to this problem?

Thank you very much in advance for your comments!

    Kind regards
    Natasja

    > I have no idea what could be the problem, because it is not found by the repair team.

This means that the technician did not notice the sound distortion.
I think that it s very difficult to solve a problem that is not reproducible.

In my opinion, you should check exactly when this question appears and must try to reproduce the HDMI sound problem.
You should concentrate on the audio source and the software that runs when you connect the laptop to the external monitor TV.

Also I recommend that you perform the tests after the system has been recovered to factory settings.

    Mike, welcome to the forum.

Because your computer has a DVI - D port, you can simply us for the connection.  You don't need VGA, also.  If you want to use the HDMI, you can buy a USB 2.0 to HDMI video adapter.  StarTech makes these adapters.  If you decide to go in this direction, I suggest you contact their Custome Service to ensure that you get the right adapter.
