UCS chassis Fans

All my fans in my UCS chassis are reported as unusable?

Fans shout in the data center. Very strong. Room temperature is fine.

A lot of mistakes like that?

Steven,

See this:

There is especially an communication error (not a hardware failure, at least at first glance) with IOM attached to FI - B. Look at the difference between the two from the IOM, IOM to FI - A is affected but not that much (I did a little more understandable):

I would recommend to reinsert the IOM attached to the FI - B during an interview (unscrew for about 5 minutes, drain all the power), even as fans (take the fans for about 3 minutes, same reason as the IOM) and make sure that above, depending on the firmware you rotate or you run the following versions: 2.0.5b or later 2.1.1f or later version or any version 2.2. IF you are already running one of these versions, then all just do the reinstall.

I hope this helps.

Note THE answers useful.

  • Update Bios Z400 - now "fan chassis before error 513 not found' I don't have a front Chassis Fan!

This machine of LOVE and just build one for the gills - power of 600 watts (oem) recently added as well

Has made updating the BIOS and now it is stuck at the start with 'chassis before 513 error not detected fan' - I can F1 passed and everything is good, but of course I need a fix for this.

This device does not have a front chassis fan.

I'm a NEWBIE here and would certainly appreciate some entries.

Not a windows experience rating bad, huh?

Such as already reported here, over, do a search for "Ghetto Mod. There are two main positions for this of me, one for the xw6400 and another for the xw4600. Your case best fits the xw4600 case, but there is more information about Noctua in the xw6400 post.

Read both... the answers are all there.

  • Rear chassis fan Z400 always runs at high SPEED

I have several Z400 workstations. One of them is much noisier than the rest: the rear system (case fan) fan is almost always running at high RPM. On the normal Z400s, the BIOS Setup. File | Speed of about 1 600 rpm of fan reports of temperatures of the system chassis. On the noisy Z400, the chassis fan speed is reported as 3752 RPM. The two Z400s run the latest version of the BIOS public, 3.57. Both have a BIOS Setup | Power | Thermal | Fan Idle Mode set to 1. Fan Idle Mode 1 to 5 on the normal Z400 cycling makes a huge difference in fan RPM. Bike 1-5 on the noisy system has hardly made a difference.

How can I calm the chassis fan in the noisy Z400? I carefully cleaned to vacuum inside the Z400, including the withdrawal of the air cover that protects the DIMMs. If it's important, the Z400s running Windows 7 Pro with all the latest patches.

I noticed that the BIOS Setup. File | Temperatures of the system reported a temperature of 23 C on the 0C on the noisy Z400 Z400 normal. Are there opportunities that "0C Température" means that the room temperature sensor is broken, and without knowing what the temperature, the BIOS runs the fan at full speed no matter what? If so, how would I debug/fix this?

    Thank you.

    Scott, you are quite right.

I replaced the on/off switch and LED cable assembly, including the thermal sensor, on the noisy Z400 with a plug to a normal Z400. The noisy Z400 is now normal, with a rear chassis at about 1700 RPM fan. The BIOS reports the temperature of ambient air properly to 23 C. 'How to' instructions from HP for the replacement of the cable were good enough. Now all I have to do is to order another set of good cable.

Scott, thank you very much, for the rapid diagnosis and useful links. This issue is RESOLVED. Thanks again.

  • "the chassis fan does not.

    Dear all,

Please help me, my PC was displaying:

"chassis fan works not,... stop"when I turn on. "

What should I do in this case?

Fix the fan? Replace it? Unplug the unit?
You can go into the BIOS and disable the warning, but you run the risk of frying your system in this way.

If you are not comfortable working on your hardware, you should ask someone with some experience. If anyone do you know is competent enough to do it, they, perhaps, they know a local and trusted computer store that can. I would advise against using one of the "Big Box" stores because they have most likely either one) will charge you more that the system is interesting for the setting, or b) will tell you we can't be solved and try to sell you a new PC.

  • 512-chassis fan not detected

    Hi all

I h8-1114 office and I put the card mother and hardrive in case Antec 900. I got message from BIOS 'fan of 512-chassis not detected. " From this point, I have to use F1 to start. I know that this rear fan is no longer connected to the moetherboard. Really, I is not necessary that fan because Antec 900 has a much better fan system. Antec fans are huge and not connected to the motherboard.

I tried to disable this BIOS message in the BIOS settings, but it seems that there is no option. What should I do to disable this message and start without the use of F1? Thanks a lot if anyone knows.

    ramburak,

Connect the rear fan on the motherboard or use the left side mount for the original fan option. If you use the rear fan, don't forget to put the fan at maximum speed.

  • Error 512 - fan chassis rear not detected

    Hello

Just unpacked my birthday gift today... a brand new and shiny, HP Pavilion HPE-595uk (yay!). My husband purchased directly from HP, about 3 weeks ago. It has been used until today. (Happy birthday, me!)

However, on first switching on, I received a message from bios:-"512 - undetected, rear chassis fan error press F1 to continue"

I pressed F1 and start continued, Windows 7 is installed, everything seems ok... I'm talking about (entered) to you on the PC right now. However... If I have to powercycle the PC, I get the error (error 512 - rear, chassis fan not detected, press F1) every time.

That means there is a problem with this PC? The rear chassis fan should be detected? If a cable is loose? All new PC remember... just out the box 2 hours.

Thanks for the inforfmation. I just started my new computer that has the message 'Error 512 - rear chassis fan not detected'. Rear fan connector had a bent pin and the connector has been sitting on it. Pushing the stem with long nose pliers and a small screwdriver it fixed and enabled the connector to connect all the way and everything is fine. Be sure to remove the power cord from the back before you do. I did not, and the button was hit during the removal of the side panel. Since I was a SDS I heard the computer turn on - I was lucky is not to run out of something!

I connect second ucs chassis to an interconnection fabric. How to copy a profile of 1e-2e chassis service

    Thank you

    Hythim,

Are these two chassis in the same field? (Under the same cluster IP address?) If so, you can simply create new profiles Service among the models. If they are in two different areas, Yes, copy XML or just re - create the template in the new domain would probably be easier.

If you have central UCS, you could join the two areas to the Central and use Service Global profiles and all together to avoid the problem.

On this version, most of the I2C issues have been corrected, but if the chassis has been assigned for a period of time, your I2C may have been congested for a while.

To clear the I2C bus, you must reinstall the components that use it... Power supplies, fans, and IOM therefore the recommendation would be to:

1 - Reinstall each fan and power supply (one at a time and wait 3 minutes before hand) upward once again, move on with the next

    2. Remove subordinate IOM, keep it out of the chassis for 5 minutes, drain all power, put it back and wait it comes back before it.

Make sure that you have network redundancy configured before you do and if you need help or you don't feel comfortable with the process, contact TAC for assistance.

If this helps, please rate it... If it solves the problem, please mark it as such for future users to take advantage of it too.

  • HP Z620 workstation: HP Z620 Workstation - WS displays video & Fans Spin loudly or fails - red light with 8 beeps

    Hello

    I have a HP Z620 workstation.

    My processor is an Intel Xeon E5-2660 SR0KK 2.2 GHZ 20 MB 8 GT/s LGA 2011 8 - Core CPU. More correctly, it's a category of Xeon E5-26xx (dual processor), 8 cores, frequency 2.2 GHz, turbo 5/5/6/6/7/7/8/8, 8 × 256 KB L3 cache 20 MB L2 cache, 95 W TDP, Socket LGA 2011, i/o bus 2 × 8.0 GT/s QPI, × 4 memory DDR3-1600, release date 6 March 2012, CM8062107184801 part number. This is version 1, not version 2, which is good because the card in my system startup block date 20/12/2011.

I am using Kingston ValueRAM 16 GB Kit (2x8GB) DDR3 1333 MHz DIMM Desktop Server Memory. (J'ai également essayer écarter un problème de mémoire utilisé FUREUR de Kingston HyperX 8 GB Kit (2x4Go) 1333 MHz DDR3 CL9 DIMM - black (HX313C9FBK2/8)) as well as herself, to see if that makes a difference.)

I don't know how to identify my system board other than the one she reads only numbers as "FMB-1102" and "PBLNV0GCY4N0TF" and "such as #618264-001 REV 0 G'. He has "hp (copyright symbol) 2012 ' and"E93839"and"FXN1"written on it as well. (After some searching I guess it's card mother 618264-001. Which differ a card system like 619559-001 - a model later?)

My graphics card is a XFX R7 240 780 MHz 4 GB DDR3 HDMI DVI VGA graphics card. (I also try out a video card problem used an EVGA Nvidia GeForce GT 620 1 GB DDR3 SDRAM PCI Express 2.0 x 16 video card to see if it would make a difference.)

Regarding the power supply, the power supply standard HP Z620 computer PC 800W Power Supply S10-800P1A 623194-002 717019-001. (I have more than one and who have tried also.)

With respect to the hard drive, I have formatted and reused a WD Blue 500 GB Desktop hard drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gb / s, 16 MB Cache 3.5 inches - WD5000AAKX.

    My problem:

1 regardless of what video card I use, if I use the FURY of Kingston HyperX 8 GB Kit (2x4gb) 1333 MHz DDR3 CL9 DIMM - black (HX313C9FBK2/8) memory and starts, I get a blue light, no beeps, no code of message I can say. However, no tension of the video card (fans not spin) and no power is supplied to the drive hard (do not load and run). I get a blank screen and can see nothing. Back fans begin to turn in very strong and turbo mode.

2 regardless of what video card I use, if I use the Kingston ValueRAM 16 GB Kit (2x8GB) DDR3 1333 MHz DIMM Desktop Memory Server, I get a red light and eight beeps which means a kind of ROM BIOS/CMOS-problem problem problem. To this end, I tried pressing the button Clear CMOS without result. I removed the CMOS battery for a sufficient period of time and again. Nothing changes this situation. It only happens when I put this special memory in the computer. If I stick a USB Thumb Drive with file BIOS (BIN) in it which is 3. XX or higher, it will boot to the BIOS on a limited basis. I also had to understand that I couldn't do anything with a USB keyboard, I could only select options using a PS/2 keyboard - maybe it crashes on some USB devices at this point?

    3. I understand that if I let the rider of recovery from crisis on the 2nd and 3rd pins rather than pins 1 and 2, that it will load from a backup and I can actually do things. On this basis, I was able to install Windows 10 education 64-bit and a host of programs and otherwise, use the computer normally. But I can't start unless I have keep that crisis rider of recovery set to pins 2 and 3 and so he can start in the operating system normally by pressing F1.

    4. I while on Windows, updated the BIOS to the latest version, HP Z420/Z620 Workstations system BIOS 3.90 Rev.A (August 8, 2016) using sp77058.exe (19 MB). I've also updated other drivers as I could with the HP SoftPaq Download Manager (SDM). None of this changes the problem at initial boot upward. At the start he complains front chassis fan does not turn, but this is not a problem I have printing allows to stop a boot to the top, it would give just a warning and still boot normally.

Well my computer works and does that as long as I keep this crisis recovery jumper on. But I feel that I should be able to solve the problem and he can begin without interference and without resorting to a measure as drastic. Suggestions anyone?

Thanks in advance for your time.

    MR. J.

    Juggerknight,

Keep the rider of recovery of block starting on pins 2 and 3 of E15. It's 'off' because the 3 pin is not connected. Put the jumper to pins 2 to 3 "parks" the rider. Put the jumper on pins 1-2 active boot block recovery mode, and the system does not start with the jumper in this position 'on '. (You have already discovered this)

In addition, do not mix unbuffered and registered in the same system memory. Use either one or the other.

  • The dc7600 fan not slowed down speed

I'm new here but I have no news for the repair of computers, a problem which therefore left me speechless!

A customer brought me a Hp DC7600 SFF desktop computer and said that the thing is so loud it doen't want to use it.

    Card"Pentium 4 3.00 Ghz

    2 GB DDR2 533 memory

    320 GB HD

    Win 7

I lit and was swept away, this thing is so strong that you does not think!

I disconnected the chassis fan that he calmed down some but the CPU fan turns at 5400 RPM all the time, I can't get the fans to slow down! I tried to use the program Speedfan, it was a joke.

I am at a loss for what to do and wondering if something on the Board that controls the speed of the fan go haywire. I also upgraded to the latest BIOS and that did nothing.

When the computer starts, it seems frankly a small liquidation aircraft prepares for take-off!

What to do, what to do? ANY suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thank you for your comments/ideas and suggestions. I would recommend he get a newer system because I think it's history! We have done everything that we can and it's time to throw in the towel! Thank you so much!

In addition, will be a hard reset even fix the fan cooling or is something that must be taken in a store to fix properly, I don't want to mess with it and have it crash on me even more!

Would appreciate any advice or suggestions, thank you!

    Hi LCh1,

    Please try the following,

A Hard reset about a drain of power & does not affect your files.

Just unplug battery & adapter then press & hold it hold the button for 30 seconds & then tun turn it on with the power cord only.

This is the right way to do a Hard reset.

Also update the BIOS to make sure a little extra.

After all, if you have the same problem, contact HP Support by phone or chat if the asset guarantee.

Or buy the chassis fan & do replace it yourself or contact a local ASP
