Host names are resolved to IP addresses in the file "hosts".

tnsnames.ora is to solve a 'network service name' to a host, a port on this host and a service called at a port to listen on this port on this host. Therefore the tnsnames.ora is used only by customers. It is useless to the listener.

In the file "hosts" on the same machine where the listener is running. Since you indicate that it is a Windows box, it would be in

  • Unable to connect to networks wireless on laptop Windows 7 Enterprise. Cannot start the autoconfiguration WLAN service. "Error 1068: the dependency service or group could start."

original title: cannot start service autoconfiguration WLAN and EAP services

I am not able to connect to my wireless network. When tried to connect, it shows just "unable to connect."

I have the Intel WiFiLink 5100 adapter with the latest driver for Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit installed. The laptop is not a wireless connection manager and I am trying to connect using the Windows wireless connection manager.

I checked in the Services and found that service autoconfiguration WLAN and Extensible Authentication Protocol services are not running.

When I tried to start the WLAN auto configuration service, I get the following error...
Windows could not start the service WLAN autoconfiguration on Local computer.
Error 1068: The dependency service or group could start.

When I tried to start the service of Extensible Authentication Protocol, I get this error...
Windows could not start the service on Local computer Extensible Authentication Protocol.
Error 1053: The service did not demand launch or timely control.

I found that all dependent services for the EAP are running. And all dependent services for autoconfiguration WLAN service are running except the EAP service.

I searched the internet for the solution madly before posting here. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I connect very well to my home network (802.11n) using the WEP protocols.

  • Unable to connect to the virtual disk Service, Virtual Disk Manager Interface not registered

I installed Windows 7 Ultimate on this laptop as a new installation about six months ago.  Since then, I don't think I ever ran diskmgmt.  Today, I joined a new external hard drive usb, it reported the drivers installed fine, but then the installation bombed at the beginning.  I went to verity, what had happened and has run diskmgmt.msc (as an administrator), but she came back with the message "Unable to connect to the virtual disk Service" and also a small OK msgbox appeared with the title "Virtual Disk Manager" and the "Interface not registered" message

I disconnected the USB hard drive and tried again diskmgmt, but no change.

I restarted in safe mode, tried diskmgmt, but no change.

I ran sfc/scannow, but it has reported that it found no errors.

I checked that the virtual disk service has been configured as a textbook in services.msc, and event viewer showed that when I ran diskmgmt he started VDS and then stopped VDS.

I tried again, but still not like before.

    Is there some dll I can't regsrv32?

    Thank you

MDS-00929: impossible to find by name "jdbc/mds/GOSA" in the context JNDI while trying to search for "jdbc.mds/owsm" found no subcontext "jdbc." Solved "

Can someone tell me if I am missing something on my Weblogic Server?

    Thanks in advance,

    Harsha

    Hi Harsha,

The OWSM repository is stored in a database, so you need a database connection. Before you configure the new domain, you must run the Oracle RCU (repository creation utility) to create your drawings in your database.

This link may help you with the remote control: https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1212/core/RCUUG/rcu.htm#RCUUG113

    Best regards, Nicolas

  • Unable to make a backup of cold via Enterprise Manager

I'm doing a backup of cold to a database via Enterprise Manager.  I can hot backups of databases same without problem.  I can also make cold backups from the command line without any problems.  When I try to plan a cold backup via EM I get the error message

Unable to perform the backup because the database is closed.

I have a 'oracle' OS thus account for the database.  These same credentials work very well with hot backup and command line support.

I tried to use root for the account of the OS and the "SYS" as sysdba but get the same error.

When you perform the backup to cold I disabled the flashback and in archivelog mode.  When I run a test backup which works very well.  I am using HP - UX.

    Any ideas?

I finally understood my problem.  I had to remove and readd the database in Enterprise Manager and that solved my problem.  Very strange that I could make a hot backup, could export tables and change users, but a cold backup did not work.

I installed a Multi-hypervisor-VMWare in a test running vCentre 5.5 environment. However, when I try to add Microsoft Hyper-V, it says "Unable to connect to Host."

WinRM are enabled on the Hyper-V host computer. Also, I tried to manually add its IP address on the TrustedHosts in Winrm. Still no go. Can someone please provide some guidance.
