  Hi all

  I have Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. Today, at the start, I had a very long message error stating "Unable to connect to the Notifcation event system" and advising me to check the logs.  Aero is also suspended - so I have a pc that looks like it's running XP. Hmmm.

  By checking the newspapers he no mention of system event Notifcation service fails, or indeed any of its services of dependant (System Comp + events, RPC, DCOM or RPC Endpointmapper server process launcher) and when I check the services I see that all these include the Notifcation Service to event system are running!

  The only error I have concerns the Management Service report as below.

  I don't have a slow connection, the desktop (even without aero) pretty quickly, even if windows is stolen hard drive. I checked for frgmintation and its less than 1%

  of course the vcs communication seems not promising, but I would say that the problem lies deeper

  in the TMSPE itself.

  Typical questions:

  * wrong version of java, please try the one that is mentioned in the version deployment guide that you install

  * Please make sure that you have run the installer as administrator

  * Check that the used users and groups have appropriate access

  * Make sure the db connections are ok

  In addition, check the deployment guides is always recommended ;-)

  WIN + W > Search troubleshooting and select it > under "system & Security", select "fix problems with windows update. Let him look for problems.   I have installed and configured the VMWare View connection server and can connect to the virtual machine (Windows XP Pro) shareed via the customer to view without a problem. The problem Im having is that I have configured the Security server in my zone demilitarized and authorized the appropriate DMZ ports and the port 80 and 443 to the outside on my DMZ.   eeg3 is correct if you have a direct connection enabled on the broker for connections paired with security server then you would be forced to open 3389 to the outside world since the workstations would try to connect directly to the desktop.    The right way to go forward is to create the replica with disabled direct connection and combine security with this box server.

  I am running tomcat on my guest OS and connect via browser (IE 8/FF3.6.3) host operating system. I can't get the correct configuration at all. I tried NAT modes and bridge and doesn't seem to work. I tried VMware Player 2.5 and the last 3, but I can't hit my tomcat instance. I can access it from inside the virtual machine without any problem, so I know that my tomcat is running.

  Any help on where to start is appreciated.

  I bought a HP Compaq Presario B3800. It has Windows XP Professional installed.
  I can't get user or administrator passwords to log on.
  I tried to go into safe mode and and using password crackers, every bit of advice I've had so far and nothing.
