Unable to sync files because the file name?

HI, I keep getting the message:

"Unable to sync 'file name' because the file name is not valid. the characters |, ',?, <>, /,-, *, and: cannot be used in file names. "

But I don't have any of these characters in the files that I am trying to sync.

    Dear community

    There are a number of files that reports the error "unable to sync files.

    I would like to delete these files, because I need is no longer in my desktop folder / online creative cloud.

    I use a Mac.

    Any ideas on how to delete the files?

    I tried the usual channels, but they seem to resurface.

    Unfortunately, your suggestions worked.

    I followed the procedure but the files reappear when I logged in CC via the office.

    Any other idea? It's very frustrating not being able to delete documents that are at the origin of the problems...

    You get the error "a Remote Assistance connection could not be established because the DNS name of the remote computer could not be resolved" when the requesting computer (the computer 'demand' help) sends its private IP address instead of its public IP address in the request for assistance. The solution is 'easy' for some and difficult for others. I present here for your perusal:

    (1) obtain the public IP address of the requesting computer (by visiting a web page such as http://www.whatismyip.com)
    (2) save the remote assistance request computers
    (3) modify the remote request for Assistance (RcBuddy.MsRcIncident) using a text editor (such as notepad) and replace the private - section of IP address should be something like this:
    RCTICKET = 65538,1,192.168.1.33:3389 «»
    with the public IP address from whatismyip.com or elsewhere - should be something like this:
    RCTICKET = 65538,1,74.125.47.147:3389 «»
    (4) save the file of RcBuddy.MsRcIncident 'new '.
    (5) double click it to connect to the computer needing help
    (6) cross your fingers and hope it works!

  • Problem with Virtual PC: can automatically log on to the comments because the host name is added comments user name after you have entered identifying information.

    When activate the integration in Virtual PC features, then the dialog box "Enter your credentials" appears. After entering the username and password of the system cannot connect because the host name is added in front of the user name that I entered. Example: Guest user name is "Admin". The host name is "XYZ". Vrtual PC try to connect as a user "XYZ/Admin" on the comment system. After getting the error message I can manually correct the user name in the normal windows login screen on the client and open a session. However, no saved credentials, to be asked to log on again whenever I have resize the Virtual PC window. Any ideas how to solve this problem? Thank you!

    What is the error message?

    Please try following the steps for the computer to remember the credentials and do not ask the password to open each programs:

    1. when it asks for a password, click Cancel . Without integration feature, you are allowed to log on with an account that do not have a password.
    2. set a password for your current user.
    3. click on Tools , Windows Virtual PC, choose the integration features allow.
    a. type the password, check the box ' remember my references of "and click OK to open a session.»
    b. after joining the domain, logon in XP mode with the local administrator account.

    I have a VMware View version 5.1.0 installation (704644) and when I try to add additional virtual machines to an existing pool I get the message (cannot connect to the server vCenter because the username or password are invalid).

    I have checked all the instructions below and still failed to add virtual machines

    If you are unable to connect to vCenter Server:

    1. Confirm that a network port exists and is available. For more information, see increase the number of ports assigned to a virtual switch for VMware View (1026014).

    2. Confirm services VMware View manager are running. For more information, see check which required VMware View Manager services are running (1026136).

    3. Confirm that the network is correctly configured for use in a VMware View environment. For more information, see in the VMware View virtual desktop network configuration (1026498).

    4. Confirm that name resolution is functioning properly in your environment. For more information, see audit for VMware View DNS settings (1026017).

    5. Check that the permissions/credentials are correct for the user of the vCenter server. For more information, see confirm/credentials permissions are correct for user vCenter/vCenter server (1028705).

    6. Confirm that outcomes of the interaction of third parties do not exist with the operating system. For more information, see the confirmation that there are no questions of third-party interaction with the OS in a VMware View environment (1027466).

      The virtual machine, I have already assigned to this pool, I can access. I can access by using the client view and also from the console.

    Has anyone else seen elsewhere?

    You have the same problem with other pools?   Have you returned through configuration under the Configuration/servers view vCenter configuration?

    usually, when you receive a message citing the "missing" files, then it may be simply that they became not indexed by the master file table, e.g. mft.

    a check disk running will be re - indexing the file system.

    so if the computer is everything just starts plu, then you will have to start with a windows cd and get to the prompt of disk and run the commands >: chkdsk /r

    Incidentally, I don't know if you could use a bootable xp cd to boot the recovery console.

    I believe that the subject of this question is self-explanatory.


    I have a little less than 50 GB of data in my Creative Cloud Drive and I still get this error message.

    Already tried to 'pause' and 'summary' sync several times. Already restarted the computer.

    I'm on Mac OS X - Mavericks (10.9.2) in a Macbook Pro of the retina in the case where that matters.

  • BlackBerry Q10 unable to Sync, perhaps because of the most recent update

    I recently had an update to the device and now my calendar and contacts will not sync (photos/videos do).  I have a Q10 and my device software is released: 10.2.1.2976

    People seem to get hung up when he said 'matching records"subject to half way through, but the calendar gets stuck at the beginning when he says 'getting status for BB calendar."  No update anything.

    Here is the error message I receive in my journal:

    Synchronization failed

    CPreferencesManager: Value of Configuration for/Preferences/Account_2_131074/SuncAccountId_2 not defined in TransConfig.xml for translator RimBB

    I looked my configuration settings (even if nothing would have changed) and they are as they always were.  Nothing is missing or out of place.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    OK, rookie move.  I should have tried that first... I rebooted my phone (a battery, etc.), restarted my computer and then reset my configurations by default, reconfigured everything as it was before... and it worked.

    I'm stuck on the screen on my computer for my Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit edition. The password to the user account has been lost, and now I am unable to access my computer. I don't have a created password reset disk so I can't reset the password. I searched these forums and seems the most effective way is to run a system restore to a time where I did have a password for my account. Fortunately for me, I did an automatic update of Windows that created a system restore point literally moments before I put the password, so I should be able to get access to my computer once I figured out how to get system restore to work. The advice I found on other forums do not seem to work, because I'm in my Windows vista operating system disc, but no screen is coming up with 'Repair your computer', which indicate the steps happen. I need assistance to find another way to run the system restore on boot menus/Vista/DVD CD. Thank you.

    Go to Bestbuy or other PC shop. They can fix it for you. (Could I have so I am not allowed to post these alternative instructions.)

    I understand you have a problem with an iMessage sending to a friend of yours. Let's see if we can get this sorted out.

    One thing to try is to remove the conversation that you have with that person and send a message to them in a new conversation. Take a look at the article for this and other troubleshooting options. You can also suggest your friend try these steps as well.
