    Thank you

There is no way to prevent the problems I know.  Deleting an older version after a new installation problems.  You will have to perhaps to reinstall 5, or worst case, clean the system disk and reinstall all Windows on the spot.

Does not not not saying things will go bad, just that they pourraient .  Be prepared.

  • problem with uninstalling a program

I went to programs and features and a right click on a program to uninstall it, but while it has been uninstalled my computer froze (well, not really freeze, because I could only move my mouse). After 15 minutes, I have the computer shuts down completely and returned to uninstall the program. He was no longer listed in programs and features, but it has not been uninstalled. I don't know how to uninstall it now since it does not appear...

I also have another problem where a program that is technically uninstalled and deleted from your computer is still listed on programs and features. I have installed what is called "Timberman" when I mess with Firefox to the market. I deleted Timberman instead of uninstalling it and now when I try to uninstall from programs and features, nothing happens, and it has remained ever since.

    Hello.

My apologies for the late reply.

You can place the computer in a clean boot state, and then uninstall the program.

Step 1: Put the computer in a clean boot state

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Place your system in the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Note: see 'How do I reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting' to reset the computer starts normally after troubleshooting.

Step 2: Run the System File Checker tool

System File Checker is a Windows utility that allows users to find corruptions in Windows system files and restore the damaged files.

To do this, click Start, type command or cmd prompt in the Search box, right click invite, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.

At the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

Note: Do not close the command prompt window until the audit is completed 100%. The results of the analysis will be posted when this process is complete.

    Hi Harvey.

This problem is limited to a specific program? You are able to uninstall other programs?

We will analyze and identify the cause of the problem. Normally, this problem occurs when Windows Installer could not find the required components.

    Method 1:

I suggest you run the Microsoft Fixit to try and Uninstall the software from the computer.

Check out the link to launch the Fixit:

Solve problems with programs that cannot be installed or uninstalled

    a. click 'Accept'
    b. Select "Detect problems and apply the patches for me".
    c. Select "Uninstall".
    d. Select "Encyclopedia Britannica"
    e. Fixit will search for bad registry files and try to fix it.

    Method 2:

If the problem persists, I suggest to perform the steps described in the article and check.

Come to the error, here are two ways to fix.

  • Performance issuses, impossible to uninstall a program, add another user account, the computer doesn't turn off etc.

Can anyone help, my vista home 32-bit edition computer is seriously messsed! ??

I'm unable to download windows updates and I have like 20 of them to download, it just never performs an act he says its download, but it's not I can leave it for hours and nothing happens, this causes problems because my computer does now, because when you do it just says : configuration of updates and can last for hours, so I have to unplug the power to turn it off, which is not good for the computer.

IM also having problems with other things such as it won't let me uninstall not more programs, I can't do a restore of the system from the control panel or add another user account. freezes Internet too much, slow start. I always get microsft popups saying: "the program has stopped working and not could find solutions to this problem" but I did a system restore in safe mode, but the dates were 3 months back and that didn't help the performance of this computer. I want to return to a closer date now, but I can't. as it doesn't let me do a restore of the system in the menu start control pannel ir.

I run a scan with malaware had 181 made thereats that were deleted but I still have the same problems as above

He said also my windows defender is not protected (outdated) more and needs to update, but it will not update

    Help, please

    Hi gandt85,

    1. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

    2. are you able to boot into safe mode without any problem?

Since you are not able to restore the system to normal mode, I suggest you to do a system restore to a recent date of WinRE using the full version of Windows Vista disk.

    Method 1:

    Do follow link below:

What are the system recovery options in Windows Vista?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-Vista

    Method 2:

You can also try to run a scan using Microsoft Security Essentials.

    Check out the link:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/products/MSE.aspx

Also, try the malicious software removal tool and check.

  • Impossible to uninstall some programs plug-and-play

I uninstalled a few programs (which are almost p2p) via the control panel. the programs have not been completely uninstalled so I used regedit and still I can't get rid of them altogether. Help, please.

Try using Revo http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/revo-uninstaller/revouninstaller.html instead of Vista uninstalling the program.  If Revo can't find the programs, you will need to re - install them again so they can be removed properly.  Try to uninstall manually or even worse, thanks to the registry, is a work essentially hopeless because files and entries are distributed all over the place and you will never be able to find them all (and may cause problems with your system or other programs by making the attempt).

    I hope this helps.

    Hello bdw4228,

It would be very helpful if you could find the number of HResult after the error, as that would give a lot of information on this module is a failure. You might be able to find in the details of the error in the event log.

You can try to repair the .net framework which could cause problems with the Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack, you are trying to download. I would like to download and install the Windows Installer 4.5 Redistributable. You candownload from the link here. It will update the .NET framework 4.5. Operating system Windows Vista has .NET 3.0 pre installed on the computer. You will need the X 86 version for a 32-bit computer.

Once you have installed the new .NET framework 4.5, then I download the Windows Installer Cleanup utility and remove all references to Bonjeaur, iTunes and Quicktime. Clickhere to download the Windows Installer Cleanup utility. You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. Remember that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility does not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall on.

    Now, try reinstalling iTunes.

Please reply back and let us know if this can help.
