• EM12cR2 - how to clean old guard basic directories after upgrading?

  Anyone know the recommended/supported/correct way to delete older versions of directories based EM12c agent on the managed servers once agents have been upgraded to EM12cR2? This isn't a huge problem, but I have been setting up my agents on the small (2 GB) dedicated volumes and I have not enough space available for the next round of updates unless I get the old stuff, cleared out.
  
  I have a server that has been added to the environment after my upgrade to EM12cR2 and multiple servers that are already followed by the upgrade. The servers where I have updated agents after you install all the EM12cR2 still have copies of the directory of core/12.1.0.1.0 basic agent as well as the new home core/12.1.0.2.0 agent directory. I tried to remove this directory and bouncing the agent, but the agent gets blocked because it cannot locate apparently not some files, it expects to find. Other than to be rejected by the WHO, the officer seems to work very well. I can only unlock the agent successfully if I put the 12.1.0.1.0 directory back in place.

  Upgrades the agent were all made through the agent upgrade console without incident. The server SGD itself also contains the 12.1.0.1.0 and the 12.1.0.2.0 in the base directory of agent based. The fact that the agent on the server who never had installed 12.1.0.1.0 work well would seem to indicate that the binary 12.1.0.1.0 are not required for correct functionality, but I'm not clear on how to remove them. I would like to avoid losing the targets controlled by these agents and have to recreate their and their jobs, and so on.
  
  Any thoughts? Has anyone else had the same problem occur in their environment?

  If you're talking about the target upgrade agent to 12.1.0.2 and he has dir left basic behind, then you can remove only the contents of the $AGENT_BASE_DIR/core/12.1.0.1.0 directory and make sure that
  the $AGENT_BASE_DIR/core/12.1.0.1.0 directory exists

  Just FYI: for the next version of the EM, we have a correct feature: signal out of process where all swinging old houses of oracle, their pints of foot disc more SGD artifacts aside, for upgrade of agents can be removed.

  Upgrade guide is also get updated with the same information, should be live within 2-3 days. We told you the same thing coming from our customer like AT & T, Fedility... etc.

  I just experienced this same problem. If you have an 11g database and you migrate to 3.2, then see if you have an embedded PL/SQL gateway. If so, then run the "apxconf.sql" of your installed directory apex. This, you should get connected. Check also your anonymous account is unlocked and not expired.

• Smoking Hot Upgrade issue with mutual authentication

  I'm trying to set up an example of 'update' hot on my PC with 3 VM Linux.  I am trying to improve Tuxedo 10.0 to Tuxedo 11 GR 1 material (11.1.1.2.0) and get the error: CMDTUX_CAT:4280: ERROR: error detected during mutual authentication with DOM2.

  Tuxedo 10.0 has the tlisten.pw in text clear while Tuxedo 11.1.1.2.0 had encoded it or encrypted.

  Any suggestions?  We have hot upgrades in DEV next week.

  Workaround.  Tuxedo 10.0 was 32 bits and Tuxedo 11.1.1.2.0 64-bit.  I had to add a TYPE parameter in the section of the UBBCONFIG MACHINE which would be different for the tuxedo of 32 bits for 64-bit Tux.

  I have a T61 (7659) with a T7300 cpu and m/b No. 41W1487. Can I switch to a T9300 processor, using a connected bios?

  I tried once, but the computer is unstable. I suspect the second-hand T9300, I received is damaged.

  All m/bs Merom can * unofficially * accept the Penryn processors, with the exception of the BIOS boot message?

  I have installed T9300/9500 processors tips T61 with modded BIOS and have never encountered a problem. YMMV.

  Your likely culprit is the CPU.

• E3000 issues with browser utility and connect

  Don't know how I got here, but I can now connect to the E3000 using browser utility. With the help of https://10.x.x.x, shows warning of certificate, and then when the page I continue "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".

  It does not work as expected in all other ways.

  Parameters:

  Disabled wireless access to use browser

  Disabled SSID broadcast

  Force SSL connection for browser Utility

  Disabled DHCP (my modem/router ADSL handles DHCP) service

  IP address static 10.x.x.x

  Changed the SSID for both frequencies (not identical but)

  etc, etc.

  Has NOT changed the host hame.

  The last time I used the browser utility (weeks) was to disable the wireless to check something. Reactivated problems wireless, no apparent until today when I tried to access it via the browser utility.

  As I've never run Connect, there is no settings to change, and now it cannot detect the device.

  I guess I'll wait until I have TO change something and do a 30-30-30 reset...

  Toshiba Satellite L100 113 PSLA3E-02401JRU starts slowly after upgrade memory with Kingston KTT533D2-512 (512 MB) of memory.
  When I press the 'power' button, it flashes, starts the fans and HARD drive several times. Then it shows BIOS start messages by memory full 768 MB and starts Windows XP without a problem.
  This behavior is noticed only after "shut down."
  It does not happen with "restart".
  What can I do to eliminate this long "attempts" to start my laptop computer?

  This problem appears before upgrade memory?
  Have you used exactly the same memory modules?
  If this isn't the case, then perhaps there are a few compatibility issues.

  Usually, after the insertion of the modules you must enter the BIOS and then save the settings. Please it and eventually the laptop will start without any problems.

  I recently performed an upgrade out of place of Oracle 11.2.0.2 at 11.2.0.4 by following the checklist to upgrade Oracle (Doc ID 1276368.1).  While doing an RMAN backup, I noticed he was doing market back files .dbf since the old Oracle 11.2.0.2 rather than the new Oracle 11.2.0.4 Directory directory.  The .dbf files that are being backed up are not in the new Oracle 11.2.0.4 directory.  Must the .dbf files be copied to the Oracle of old House to the new House Oracle after an upgrade?

  There is no need to have the Oracle datafiles reside under the new Oracle 11.2.0.4 directory

  What is the preferred method to remove the old Oracle Home Server software after an upgrade of the DB. For example:
  I had three 10.2.0.4 databases, which are then passed to the 11.2.0.4. Is it enough to remove the Oracle 10.2 home using the controls of the operating system, or is it better to run the Oracle Universal Installer to remove the Oracle 10.2 House?

• Import old box Inbox and sent in the Mail after upgrading to El Capitan

  There has been much discussion about the e-mails lost after upgrade to El Capitan, but I have not seen this particular question.

  I discovered that, like many others, all emails in my Inbox and in my sent folder to leave before the upgrade had disappeared. The issue has not affected the emails I had moved to folders.

  Open the mail library file (in the Finder, hold down the Option key selecting go to the top menu and the library appears), I discovered that Mail was created a new file V2, account, while the old one, V3 (created in 2013), sitting next to her. Go by the size files, it seems fair to assume that the V3 still contains my "lost" emails

  So, I don't know if the bug is that a new V2 should have been created at all, or is it a sync error, or something else. What I know is that when I try to import the items from Inbox and sent from the V3, I get an error message telling me that no mbox valid was found. This is patently false.

  I also tried to copy on an external hard drive, gave them a different name, but even then I couldn't import them. Reconstruction did not help either.

  Anyone able to help? I have a few crucial e-mails out there, and I try to avoid the upgrade...

• After upgrading to 11.2.0.1 performance issues

  We improved one of our dev from 9.2.0.6 to 11.2.0.1 databases. It is one of our databases of mart reports and we ETLs it running. We have about 25 ETLs that run and after the upgrade, some of them perform horribly. ETL taking 5 hours earlier, more than 15 hours now and some that lasted 7 minutes, running for 4 hours about after the upgrade. We have made changes to the settings and we have seen significant changes to most of the ETLs. Earlier, we had pga_aggregate_target set to 2000M. It was after we changed that to 1000M and the optimizercost_model io, the value we saw the best performance on some of these ETLs. However, when we tested the ETL which took 5 hours to pre-upgrade, we see that he has not done even in 15 hours now. One thing we did was we don't collect table statistics after upgrading. In fact, the statistics we have are about 4 years old and never collected new, since we did not have a problem with the performance. Would you suggest collecting statistics?

  Yes, the optimizer changed much since Oracle 9.2, so you should have reliable statistics. Refresh using the dbms_stats package.

  Otherwise, you can use the Statspack or various tools like ASH, ADDM, setting SQL that can help you to set up your database:
