  • Unknown device: Code 28 (PCI)

I upgraded my Dell Dimension 4500 XP to Vista. I have no sound. My sound card is detected, but there is an unknown device which is a PCI device. After trying to install the driver, he said: "windows found a software for your device but encountered an error trying to install it. It also determines that the unknown device is a creative game Port. What should I do?

    Hello

You are out of luck with this Dell 4500 Desktop, unless the provided dell drivers XP Audio/Sound always functioned in Vista.

Never provided by Dell Vista Audio/Sound Drivers for this model.

    http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/product/dimension-4500

When you select an OS for the Dimension 4500 at this link of Dell, the drivers stop to XP.

I suggest that you buy your own its Vista Compatible card and install.

If you already have your own card its installed, go to the sound card manufacturer's Web site and find, download and install Vista drivers for it, if they are available.

If no driver Vista are available, read the previous tips...

  • Problem with the unknown device - Code 43

This USB controller has no drivers. It indicates the Version of the driver is 6.1.760.17586.

I tried to disable and uninstall it with other USB controllers, but he returned as a unknown device vacuum.  This means that I can not connect devices to ports 3 & 4.  I am using Windows 7 32 bit.

I'll be grateful for any advice.

    Thank you

    Andy

This means that the other usb ports on the PC work, if so it looks more like a problem of internal connection with these two ports

  • Code 43 unknown device but difficulty he wants to turn on work WiFi connect printer

Windows 7 64-bit operating system. Code 43 unknown device stopped action center. When I run the Fix It, get the message that my printer HP 309 must be activated (this printer is listed in the device under 'Other devices' Manager with yellow exclamation point and no driver is installed) as well as to find the "unknown device" with code 43 who Fix It cannot correct because the drivers are up to date. • Code 43 unknown device

A little while ago, I plugged my card reader into my USB slot to download files on my SD card. When he was about done with downloading the files, I get an error and my progress bar goes completely red. Then, there was a message in the lower-right corner saying that one of the USB devices attached to the computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it. Well, it has become an unknown device and I discovered that it was some kind of error code 43.

It's very new for me because I often upload files to my SD card through this method and it has always worked without any problems.

I have read some other forums and what to do to solve this problem.

I have already tried to uninstall the 'unknown' pilot, then by restarting and reinstalling, didn't work.

Tried updating the driver, apparently the 'unknown' driver is updated in some way.

I tried to deactivate, activate, did not work.

Enter some commands in the command prompt for other positions, did not work.

And watched some videos on YouTube that all does not work either.

I don't know what the problem with my card reader. I also removed my SD card and plugged in the card reader empty, which still install it (if it is normal), and becomes an unknown device. So, I am sure that I do not installed some kind of malware (I also scanned files before loading them on my map).

I've already restarted my computer 11 times in trying to solve the problem and it's frustrating me.

    I need help please.

    Hello

Welcome to the Microsoft community. I understand it's a bit frustrating when a devices suddenly stops. I will certainly help you with the problem you are experiencing.

I recommend you try to use the same memory card as well as the SD card on a different computer drive to test if this is the problem with the device itself. If it's the same thing on another computer, this means that the reader of card memory itself is down.

If everything works correctly on another computer, try the following options and check if it helps.

Method 1: Run the hardware troubleshooting tool.

Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-hardware-and-devices-Troubleshooter

Method 2: Remove and reinstall all USB controllers. Follow these steps:

    (a) click Start, type Device Manager in the start search box and press enter.

    (b) expand Bus USB controllers.

    (c) right-click every device under the Bus USB controllers node and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.

    (d) restart the computer and reinstall the USB controllers.

    (e) connect the removable USB device and perform a test to ensure that the problem is solved.

Method 3: Run a Virus Scan

I recommend you to run a full antivirus scan by using the Microsoft Safety Scanner. It will scan the computer against viruses and malicious programs. To download and learn more on this subject, click on the link below.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

WARNING: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Hope this information was useful. Let us know the results once you have tried these methods.

    Thank you

  • Unknown device: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (Code 43).

I have Windows 7 Ultimate. Recently an unknown device keeps popping up in the device manager every time that I start to win. It is reported the location is in the front USB hub, but I haven't changed it anything lately. The device status says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (Code 43)". I can uninstall or disable it but it will get picked up again the next time that I reboot. All other usb devices (mouse, keyboard, webcam, UPS APC, external hard drive, printer) work very well. How can I get rid of this nuisance so that it is not reappear?

If the problem coincided with connecting the inverter APC that may indicate the problem is with the inverter.

Somewhat similar situation discussed in the following link:

    http://www.velocityreviews.com/forums/t527369-APC-ups-USB-as-unknown-device.html

Your situation sounds similar as "Information system" leading the 'problem of the device' has an error Code "this device is working properly" but still "unknown device".

I would say to detach from the APC UPS of the computer and uninstall any software related.

Restart the computer and see if the "Unknown device" problem resolves.

  • Unknown device (error Code 28)

After you have reinstalled MS Vista Home Premium (on a HP dv5 Notebook), I see that there is only a "other device" listed in Device Manager. This "unknown device" also appears on the 'Network' icon on the desktop screen. Material is listed in the Manager of devices as follows:

    ACPI\ENE0100

    * ENE0100

I hope that someone on the forum has seen this before and can help me solve the problem. Many thanks in advance!
