Unlocked (Rogers) Treo 680 problem: no network after upgrade to 1.12

Here's what I did:

  1. Bought Rogers GSM Treo 680 on Ebay and inserted my T-Mobile SIM card.
  2. Purchased and applied unlock code.
  3. Used Treo 680 on T-Mobile (USA) successfully for 7 months.  Everything worked well.
  4. Recently upgraded to the version of the firmware 1.12 with Palm download "unlocked."  (Probably a mistake... I thought since I had unlocked the phone, I use this upgrade Unlocked.)   Now the phone would not connect to T-Mobile more.
  5. Redid the upgrade to Rogers 1.12 upgrade.   Not connect to T-Mobile.
  6. I couldn't find my unlock code, so spending $25 on a new unlock code.  It is entered, reboot, still not connect to T-Mobile.

Note: I see T-Mobile and ATT in my list of "Network Selection".  He always responds with "cannot save with network selected."

What should I do now?

Solution: It turns out that my year of 7-8 old SIM card has gone wrong (or has been altered) during the upgrade process. T - Mobile Support new authorized pocket card free SIM - I picked up in a downtown Seattle T-Mobile store.

    What is going on?

    My firefox I just upgrade automatically to v36, but borrowing is no longer able to connect to any web site after reboot. (Chrome and IE has no problem). I have try to disable the proxy and prefetch IP6 and does not help. In the even they, my PC has norton installed but does not have the configuration of the firewall.     So basically, my guess is that the battery is the question, but it seemed strange to me that I had no problem before, then with the recent update and the way it has at times, costs. I don't really want to send it away not knowing what the problem is. I live in a rural area, so cannot attend an Apple store to ask for help. But if it is not the battery, I have no interest to spend $500 on a service for a phone I paid more than $1000 for purely and simply. Very disappointed that this phone had restored my faith in apple products and I was just telling on the eve of what past how happy I was with the phone and now it unfortunately.

    If the phone will again fuel or if I can get it to connect to my MacBook, I'll try a full factory reset as a last resort.

    I would like to know if anyone can help or if there is anything more I provide. I tried to be as detailed as possible.

  • Problem with WSUS after upgrade of SQL and SCCM

    A few years ago, we implemented SCCM 2012 R2 on a virtual machine running Server 2008 R2 (Enterprise), using 2012 SQL for databases.  We use it for software deployment, updates/patches via WSUS and imagery of the network.  Everything is smooth enough for most, even if we hit a few snags Windows 10 points when that came out.  After you install the patches and updates to our Server 2008 box to make it compatible with Windows 10 content, everything was good again.  A few weeks ago, I decided to update our version of SCCM 1511 and SQL for 2014.  After the two updates, I tested imaging and software deployment, and everything seemed good.  I forgot WSUS, however... and later visited account it was not working properly for these updates.  Unfortunately, I realized after I deleted the VM snapshot, I got to thinking that everything was good (stupid, I know).  After researching and discovering some of the errors were permissions associated with - why would have changed the permissions on folders of SQL and SCCM upgrade I have no idea - those who have since been smoothed.  Now, my mistakes seem to be related SQL more and I hit a dead end with research.  When I opened WSUS and go look at the clocks, he tries to load the history of synchronization, and after a few minutes-error with the following information:

    The WSUS administration console failed to connect to the WSUS server database.

    Verify that SQL server is running on the WSUS server. If the problem persists, try restarting SQL.

    I found a few forums that suggest to uninstall WSUS and delete the database, and then reinstall WSUS.  Unfortunately, when I try install fails... giving only an error code and no other explanation of why.  The error is 0 x 80070643, which is supposed to be due to the current user not having the "sysadmin" in SQL.  However, I have tried with several accounts I checked to make you have the sysadmin role in SQL (and are also part of the Administrators group on the server itself)-always get the same error message.

    I would really like to try to find that rather than wasting his time with the construction of a new server and redo our whole SCCM environment... get the client reinstalled on all our machines to synchronize with a new server appears as a huge headache.  Is there anyone else out there who know what would cause this?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    The problem has been resolved by following the steps mentioned below.

    Step 1

    Re-install Vmware tools VMware Tools version 9.0.0 build-782409

    Step-2

    Restart the server

    Step-3

    vmxnet and vmxnet3s files take backup

    for solaris servers

    root@solaristemp # cd/kernel/drv/amd64.

    root@solaristemp # cp vmxnetbck vmxnet

    root@solaristemp # cp vmxnet3s vmxnet3sbck

    Step-4

    Re-install VMware Tools 10.0.0 build-3000743

    Step-5

    Restart the server

    Step-6

    We copy the file backup instead, we receive re version 10 deamon.

    for solaris servers

    root@solaristemp # cp vmxnetbck vmxnet

    Step-7

  • Problems with mail after upgrade

    After the update from El Capitan with macOS Sierra my e-mail program does not stay open longer than 3 seconds. I have an end 2013 27 "iMac 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7 with 32 GB of memory.

    Is there any solution for this or am I the only one having this problem?

    Test in a new user quickly will tell you if the problem is system-wide or if your user folder that contains the problem.

    You can use the guest user or create a new user to test.

    CREATE A NEW USER

    Go to system-> Preferences, create a new user in users and groups.

    Switch to the new user by logging incoming/outgoing or use the fast user switching.

    You can skip connect with an Apple ID, unless you need to test apps to iCloud. Hit continue and then jump.

    By default only the applications Apple will be in the dock in the new user. Go to Applications to open other apps, that you can test.

    You still see the issue?

    If Yes, then the problem is with your core files.

    If not, then the problem is in your user folder.

    I upgraded my macbook pro to Yosemite for more than six months and since then, I have serious problems with application of fonts in browsers and many software I use. I googled the problem over and over again and nothing seems to help.

    In general, these are the main symptoms of the problem with screenshots:

    You probably have a lot of fonts installed garbage. Follow these steps to recover your Mac for only the fonts installed in OS X.

    (1) open the book fonts and choose restore fonts Standard menu. All third-party fonts will be moved out of the system and root of the fonts in the library files in a new folder next to each named (deleted) Fonts.

    2) click on the desktop so Finder is the name of the app next to the Apple logo in the upper left corner. Hold down the Option key and choose go > library. This will open your user account's library folder. Create a new empty folder on the desktop. Open the folder fonts in your user account. If there is something in it, move them to the new folder on the desktop.

    3) restart in Mode safe mode by rebooting and hold down the SHIFT key. When you reach the office (you need to log in Mode without failure), restart normally. Among other things, this erases all the cache files on the account of the user logged in Mode safe mode and resets the database of book of fonts for this account.

    (4) clear all remaining the system font cache files. Close all the running applications. From an administrator account, open the Terminal application and enter the following command. You can also copy and paste from here in the Terminal window:

    -Close coverage which is open

    If you have 6 columns on the levels of ink instead of 4 is because you have an error code.

  • LasetJet Pro M475dn: Impossible to scan over the network after upgrade to El Capitan

    After that I upgraded to El Capitan I no longer use HP Scan or HP Easy Scan to scan the network more. I can print to the printer, but analysis always results in the page being pulled by the document feeder, but applications just to lock-up without the document showing. Everything worked fine on Yosemite.

    I found a workaround solution that once worked before after a update of Mac OS X (but had to change the name of file, much like the original file has disappeared). Just download the next file on HP (no matter that it is not for your printer; it's not mine either (OfficeJet Pro L7680) but it works).

    When you run the Setup program, make sure you hold the CTRL key when you right-click on it, then click Open in the menu.

    Run the Setup program. Be sure to select the HP scanning software and install it. When you get to the configuration of the printer, just skip this step (unless you are using the printer in question). The parser components are what you really want from the printer drivers are already in El Capitan, if you have a HP supported printer. The scanning software will have already installed to the moment you arrive at this screen.

    Install the HP Easy Scan on the App Store app (if you get the latest version of the software your front-end). You should be able to run the scanner and scans without restart. I don't know if it will work for everyone, but certainly, it worked for me and keep me until they find what went wrong in El Capitan to disable scanning and scanning capabilities.

    I have 6 years, Alienware m11x R.2 running Windows 7 x 64 SP1. Since the ole ' computer is still alive and kickin. I thought I'd do a quick refresher on the RAM for an inexpensive upgrade.
