I don't know if it's a hardware or software issue.i previously thought the card was faulty... I went and got a replacement for a new ASUS card, (the previous one was a gigabyte). is it possible that the amp is broken?

  Hello, Andrew. Just a quick update... as I suspected... It was the AGA... I borrowed my friends AGM (who lives about 30 miles away) I thought that the drive is worth the shot... so came home... connected all the cables... turned on the laptop... BAM! It has detected the card immediately... I didn't have to update or download anything... I don't have the black screen at startup (device not recognized screen). played metro 2033 redux. smooth as butter 60 fps with al maxed out... also tried linking the AGA to my 65 inch curved 4 K tv... and he played incredibly with this also... tried to plug my AGA back... same problem... black screen... spent my AGA Fellows >. has worked like a charm... send then the AGM back to dell... and ask for a replacement :-)
