I ALWAYS suggest that do you so via a wired connection to your PC and the BlackBerry Desktop Software.

See the link below to download it and follow these simple instructions.

First find your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.

Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  • Update blackBerry Curve 8520 smartphone problem

I've updated my Curve 8520 with the last software update, and now the Trackpad only works on the home screen but not on the larger screen.  It will scroll up and down, but not to individual applications.  Any ideas?   Thanks, the update is c. 5.0.0.82 2.

You think that the upgrade caused that? I've never seen an upgrade that would disable the trackpad only on a single screen.

First, try a reboot > with the phone smart BlackBerry turned on, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.

If the Trackpad still does not work, then you can consider decommissioning of the OS.

1 remove the newer operating system of your PC by going to control panel > Add/Remove programs.

    2. next, download and install the earlier version of the operating system. Operating system blackBerry downloads

    3. install the older operating system to the computer by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    4. go into c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    5. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

Personally, NEVER above the Air software update .the are a few suggestions for restore you your device from this situation:

    Credit JSanders

There are two methods for recovering for you to try:

    One:

    • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.
    • You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.
    • Once it is at the stage of the "initialization of pocket" update, then insert the batteries.
    • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

    Second:

    • Start your BlackBerry in safe mode.  Article ID: KB17877 how to start a mode BlackBerry smartphone without failurehttp://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17877
    • Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and allow handheld to connect. If you are prompted to update, cancel the upgrade for later.
    • IF you can not connect or your desktop software does not recognize your device in Mode safe, please follow the instructions here to force detection: Article ID: KB10144 how to force detect the BlackBerry smartphone using the Application Loader
    • Go to device > delete > SELECT DATA > select this option to remove the Social flow and smart card data bases and follow the rest invites you to complete.
    • Now, you can go back and click to update the device through the Desktop Manager, or restart the BlackBerry in normal mode and continue on the upgrade of the air.

  • Curve Smartphones blackBerry 8520 connected to network bb

I have a blackberry 8520 connected wireless to my ISP BT

It will connect to the internet and allows you to surf the internet, but won't let me sign in yahoo mail. When I try the login box appears for a few seconds, then disappears behind an ad that comes immediately after it and the lock on the top of the page changes straight to an orange padlock.  I disconnected the e-mail on the pc and logged in again to see what is happening there. The exact same announcement came, but the login box was above it, allowing me to connect.

The phone is connected to the network and works well.  I was able to connect with no problem.  The only thing I can find is now on the phone itself. Check connections, my homehub watch is on, but also shows a white dash, which means that it is not connected to the network.  I can't find anything in the help files on how to reconnect to the network.

Can someone point my in the right direction.

Thanks for reading and in advance for any help offered.

Interesting. But if it is said that, just try clicking on Yes. And just, the PSK is the pre-shared key, or the wifi password.

If it still does not respond, the solution may be to back up your phone using the BlackBerry Desktop Software and do a security wipe. To do this, go to Options > Security Options > Security wipe. Do a wipe of the application data. Once it is finished, perform a selective restore by using the BlackBerry Desktop Software and restore only the databases you need (e.g. messages, address book, calendar, etc.).

Then you should be able to start from scratch.

  • BlackBerry smartphone Password Lock/keyboard Lock on Blackberry 8520

So I have updated my curve to the new version 5. I noticed that there wasn't any more keyboard Lock/Password Lock. My previous software, it was named keyboard lock and I put it as one of my convenience keys. After the update, I noticed that he had ceased to exist. A friend of mine bought a new Curve 8520 with the update already installed of course. She had the locking of the keyboard, but he was named Password Lock instead. I have been looking for ways to get this feature to my Blackberry because I think it's more practical, rather than the button ' silent mode / mute "located on the top of my unit. The shortcut to lock my phone which is the 'A' on my keyboard quickly "locks" my keyboard only. I would like the feature set to be blocked if.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

The keypad lock is the A"" key. To unlock press on and hold the Mute button on top of your Bay for at least half a second. If you set a password under Options/Security, a new padlock icon appears. This can be set to a touch of comfort.

  • Z3 blackBerry I want to update blackberry 10 in Z3

I want to update blackberry 10 in z3, but it requires more than 4.5 GB free space. It is possible to do more than 4.5 GB of free space to z3 of blackberry that already comes with 8 GB.

I deleted all applications to remove like facebook, SMS, contacts, related to, four squre and all others.

But other applications that come as default by the company occupy space. Is there any solution to make more free space...?

Or directly the route to upadate to 10.3.1 in 4 GB of space?

Hmmm Strange that link both will tell you that you are later AND also download an update. Strange.

If there are problems of the Internet between your computer and the servers of BlackBerry, then what you describe could happen. To use this method, the only advice is to keep trying and I hope that it can work at a given time.

Other methods, we could give you would be unofficial AutoLoaders which are totally destructive, replacement of ALL currently in your device with a new OS. So to use this method, you or the other must be able to succeed in a link - database backup / restore, a third party backup / restore or be prepared to start over from scratch.

Let us know how you want to proceed.

  • Update blackBerry Blackberry Z10 10.2.1.2977

My wife just download updated 10.2.1.2977 once the download is finished, I noticed our internet connection was VERY slow so I decided to go into the router and see if there's a problem. The router would not let me with the URL despite trying several times. I contacted Plusnet who recognized, I had a problem and offered to restart the router that has not worked. Then, they suggested a factory reset by putting a PIN in the reset hole at the back and connecting a cable between your laptop and the router back my ID and password. This procedure got up and going again. 1. do you know why this has happened? 2. why should we get all these updates BlackBerry? Regarding ring

    Hello

    donut wrote:
    1. do you know why this has happened?

It could be purely coincidental... something could have been wrong with your router as you did the update for BB. Or, it could have been caused by the BB... There are bugs in some of the oldest levels of BB10 OS that caused strange problems for people on their WiFi connections. Indeed, the version of the OS you have installed for your BB is one that will be called to still have this bug... you need to update once again to 10.2.1.3247, via Knowyou:

For obtenir.2977, you probably use one of the automated, methods which restricted you only at levels currently approved by your carrier OS... some carriers are slower than others to approve and updates. Knowyou will allow you to install the version.3247 critical, regardless of if your operator has approved or not.

    donut wrote:
    2. why should we get all these updates BlackBerry?

To unlock new features, fix bugs and other things. The OS is written by humans, who are notoriously imperfect... updates are needed to correct these mistakes caused by humans (like the one who remains in la.2977.

    Good luck!

Hi, I love my Blackberry 8520. Had it a year now, but am I alone in thinking that the camera on this device is totally desperate. The images have no definition, and are too blurry. • Screen of the Smartphone Blackberry 8520 blackBerry

Is could someone please tell me if the screen on the Blackberry 8520 easily broken? I used to have the Nokia N96 and Nokia N95 and when I put them in my bag in hand I've always had to make sure they were in a deal covering the screen.  My N95 had to be repaired as she knocked against something in my bag which broke the screen.  I have a case for my curve, but don't want to use it unless I have to like the phone want to show!

    Hello

I think the BlackBerry 8520 screen is plastic hard like all keyboard BlackBerry devices (= anything but storm/Storm2). It is possible to get scratches if you try hard on the teeth of a key of the door, but other than that it is as strong as you can expect from a mobile phone. In addition, the device is very thin and has a small footprint.

On the N95/N96 that both models are known for their really fragile screen, rather than the quality usually provided by Nokia.
