update of best practices of folios

Hello

I have a couple of folios that must be updated every month.  Could someone please help me with best practices for planning the release of the new folio and you ensure that it replaces the old one in the Viewer?

To begin with, in the folio builder Panel, can I create a new folio every month or can I remove items from folio of last month, change its name and keep reusing that?

I'm also a little confused about how to plan a new available for producers of folio.

I would really appreciate hearing how the whole process must be managed, Panel builder folio to folio digitalpublishing.acrobat.com producer

Thank you!

You're doing a completely new folio for January so that publish in Folio Producer when you want to live for your readers. It replaces the previous edition, he lives next to her. Your readers will be able to see these two questions in your viewer and can choose who they want to download and read.

You can leave the new folio not published in Folio Producer until the day you are interested in to go live and then click on publish. You can also use our new feature of advanced publication date to schedule a date up to 7 days in advance for the folio automatically go live. You will see this option when you click on the button publish on the folio.

  • ESXi 5.0 5.0 Update 2 - best practices / backup plan

I intend to patch my ESX cluster (2 5.0 ESXi hosts) 5.0 Update 2. Although there is no active DRS (HA only), the idea is to vmotion virtual machine from one server to another, leaving one of them every time with no VM, put it on maintenance mode and to clean up the update (already staged).

Since all data storage are located on a Dell MD3000 DAS, that backup precautions can I take to reduce the possibility of failure? I am already back up the configuration of host for two hosts using PowerCLI, then is it necessary to back up also all virtual machines inside the DAS? If so, save only the VMDK is the way to go, or should I use a specific as vDR, Veem or similar tool? Snapshots are a secure replacement?

The reason why I've been confused was the mention of 'DAS', which is usually refers to the storage not shared, but from what you write, I guess it's more like the storage attached to two hosts directly rather than using a network switch.

In any case, according to the applications running in the comments, and if a backup agent is needed, an image based backup (for example, Veeam, vRanger connection,...) can usually be restored more easily and more quickly.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I would like to know the "best practices" for unplugging my computer permanently to the internet and other updates. I thought I would do a clean install of Windows XP, install my Microsoft Works again and nothing else. I would like to effectively transforming my computer into a word processor. I received excellent Microsoft Support when it happened before, but since my computer is around 13 years, I think it is not worth the headache to try to remedy. Hello.

I need for firmware (and boot code) updated over 40 switches PowerConnect (mainly 5324).

What is the best practice on that?

I tried to download and install Dell OpenManage Network Manager, but it seems like an application of 'disorder' for someone who doesn't know. I threw a look at the demo of Dell for the application, but the quality is very bad and it is a version different than the one I downloaded (V3.0.1.15) you cannot use the guides directly.

Are there other options that manual session opening, then TFTP the new firmware and boot code? Or can someone a link to a valid demo or documentation that can help me with the work?

  • Best practices of a partition of HDD on Windowes Server2008 and Windowes 2012

What is the best practice for partition of HDD on Windowes Server 2008 and 2012 Windowes

Could be interesting to ask more http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winservergen/threads that you can get more answers.

That said I would say that very much depends on what you intend to do with the server, and of course how much space you have available.

For a general server I would probably go with two volumes, the C:\ drive for the file system and a second volume for your data, for example E:\. I recommend at LEAST 30 GB for the C:\, 40-50 GB preference, since updates, patches, etc will burn way over time and it's much easier to start big than to try to develop later.

If you are running the Terminal Services, then you will probably need a larger C:\ amount as a large part of the user profile data is stored there in order to run lack of space fairly easily.

As I said, it depends on what you do, how much space and disks you have available etc, it isn't really a one-size-fits-all answers.

  • Best practices using clusters to create the queue/notifier/bundles?

I'm in a block diagram, a queue, the notifier and several instances of cluster of bundle

that all use the same data structure.   There is a typedef of cluster for the data structure.

Of course, each of these objects (define the queue, set notifier, bundle)

you want to know how do you define the cluster.

    What is considered best practices?

    (1) create a dummy instance of the cluster across data structure

definition is necessary (and hide all on the public Service)

    (2) create only one instance and son at all places, it is necessary

But there is no stream on this thread: it's only the cluster * definition *.

which is used, so this seems to clutter the comic.

    (3) create only one instance of the cluster control and use local variables

everywhere else the definition of cluster is required.  It's _value_ is never

assigned or given read-so no problem with race conditions.

    (4) another way?

If you were to clean up someone else's code, how do you expect

    See this Treaty?

It occurred to me during this writing that here where I

"unbundle...... code bundle" I could wire the original beam to the

the two "unbundle" and "bundle" - but that would be too complicated

and the size of the comics with useless thread?

    Thank you and best regards,

    -- J.

    Hi Jeff,

I think that this question is about "sharing" the typedef and not how share data (?)  If the cluster control is registered as a typedef (or a strict typedef) but NOT SIMPLY as a CONTROL, then when a Diagram-constant of the typedef is created, it will be updated when you update the .ctl typedef!  (and there is no FP control to hide )  Of course if the typdef is already available "close" if necessary, you will be able to use instead - save a spacer of diagram.

    See you soon.

  • AF best practices for video

I'm using an EOS 7 d for 1080 p HD video shooting. New to SLR camera and digital video. I have watched several tutorials but do not yet have a good understanding of what the best practices for the development.

If I put the camera in AI Servo it will auto focus if the subject is moving away or toward me with depress me back AF-ON or the shutter button? Or should I press one of these buttons to make the camera continues to focus?

You know tutorials or video lessons that cross using update with the video?

    Thanks in advance!

I don't know any tutorials, but more serious videographers say it is best to use only the manual focus.

Trial and error is a good teacher, when it comes to video DSLR. You'll quickly learn that video Auto Focus is really bad with the 7 d and most of the people do not use it all together.

The method that works for me is to use AF before the filming of the video and then adjust manually if you want to you to shoot the video. With the help of f/8 or f/11 to keep everything in short without having to keep the setting.

More recent Canon DSLR's like the T4i, T5i, 70 d and SL1 have a "hybrid AF" that does a much better job of AF during video, but it is not yet as good as a camcorder

  • Best practices for the design of a printing environment?

    Greetings,

If there is a better place for this, please let me know.

    Objective:

Redesign and redeploy my printing environment with best practices in mind.

Overview: VMWare environment running 2008 R2, with about 200 printers. I have a majority of printers HP ranging from 10 years old again. LaserJet MFP, OfficeJets, etc... etc... In addition to the copiers Konica, Xerox and Savin. Many of our models of printer are not taken in charge in 2008, and still less x 64.

Our future goals include services eprint, as well as the desire to manage the print quality, and levels of consumition by something like Web Jetadmin.

Currently we have a 2003 Server x 86 server running our printers very old and 6 months ago the rest on a single x 64 server 2008r2. We ended up not giving it the attention to detail, it is necessary and pilots have become very congested, this led to a PCL6 only, UPD update that ended up corrupting several drivers through the UPD PCL 5 and 6 of the spectrum. At this time, we brought a second server 2008r2 and began to emigrate to those affected. In some cases, we were forced to remove manually the drivers off the customer system32-> coil-> driver and reinstall.

I've not had much luck finding good best practice information and thought I'd ask. Some documents I came across suggested that I should isolate a universal driver to a single server, such as 3 servers for PCL5, PCL6, and Psalm then, there is the need to deal with my various copiers.

I appreciate your advice, thank you!

  • Physically, move a server blade in a different location - best practices?

    Hello

Is there a best practice to move a physical blade to another location?  I can't find a document about it.

We want to move a slide to another location due to keep grouped similar environments but do not want to disassociate the profile.

Can we just unassign, and then take it out and put in another location and let it automatically reactivate.  The profile will remain with the server?

You say - associate profile and then re - associate profile again?

    Thank you

    A

    Hi Adrien,.

Thank you for poining, I guess I wrote too soon.

    Yes it takes the decomission.

Here are the steps to update:

    (1) shut down the operating system on the blade,

    (2) Disassocite the service profile, wait dissociate it in full (check the status on the WSF of the blade tab)

    (3) Decomission the blade of the UCSM (check the status on the tab of the WSF for the process)

    (4) to remove the blade from the current location,

    (5) move the blade into the slot again.

    (6) wait for blade to discover fully (even once, check the condition of the WSF of the blade tab), you may be required to validate / recognize the slot to accept the blade and trigger the discovery.

    7) once discovered associated with the profile back

    (8) start the dos operating system.

I would check the documents and let you know.

  • common components of jar, naming, best practices

    11.1.2.1 forms

I added a few components of pot. For example, Directprint.jar

As they have dependencies on other common components, you must download and add in the formsweb.cfg

For example, Directprint must fontbox, pdfbox and commons-logging

This components are alive, so change their versions.

Well, now I have java in 1.6-1.8 guests, so I used it to upgrade some components of the jar.

For example from pdfbox - 1.8.6.jar to pdfbox - 1.8.11.jar

The question is: what is the best practice? The version of the name of band (rename just pdfbox.jar) so I don't have to change formsweb.cfg or preserve the name and line archive file formsweb.cfg?

If you rename the file... you have to do before everything that manifests properties adding and signing a hassle?

I guess it's a matter of taste and requirement. Personally I don't like the version numbers in the file names, because ultimately I don't like what version I am running a certain file... as long at it works. I certainly do not want to change the file name in each config file I do and do not remember to add it.

However; If you want to be able to move forward and backward between the versions I guess it's easier to have a version number in the file name. If you encounter a no - Go in the current version just swap the file name in the configuration files. Of course, if you implement version control, you can update to revision until the problem is introduced, generating the .jar file from scratch and redeployed. If you don't have version control, you can only hope that you have a backup of your file.

By simply adding a version number in the file name, you will need to update the formsweb.cfg whenever you add a new version of your jar file. By not doing this you will not have to do.

Both have their advantages and disadvantages, you will have to decide for yourself what best suits your needs.

If you rename the file... you have to do before everything that manifests properties adding and signing a hassle?

Yes. The manifest must not care about the file name, but the process of signing only.

    see you soon

  • Best practices/assets

Hello, I have a question about restoring active links in a Web site. I understand that the best way of assets update batch is do them all in one folder. However, I have several large websites with hundreds of photos and other goods, and it seems not that it is the best way to manage property. For example, I have a client that I have 50-75 pictures added to their site each year for a project. I do not delete the pictures of previous years, just keep to add. It only seems fair to just continue to add assets to a record of great asset. But, I had the folder my documents moved a couple of times, whenever I put in exactly the same place on my drive hard as it was (long story, this time, that apple has messed up my documents folder by MOVING to icloud without my permission) and even if I put back it exactly where it was, Muse said all assets are missing and I need to manually recreate a link to each of them. I understand that, for this reason, everything should be in the same folder, but for larger sites, it doesn't seem like it's the best practice. Sometimes, I have 20 or more active in a folder and we rebuild those suddenly, it's great, but I still several hundred in a Web site into smaller folders.

Any ideas?  I don't know why muse is so delicate on the moved files, if I end up putting them back in the same place. I know that it is better to leave them where you designed the originally, but of the things happening.
